Here's the link for the pilot. Looks interesting.

that looks promising

I haven't so much as taken a look at it yet, but if it's even half way decent just fucking greenlight it, I'm tired to shit of all the fucking reboots all the networks are pushing.

That looks great!

That was really good. I love it when series have mysteries like these.

If it is more greek corgi and less fart car then I'd watch it. leans towards the Adventure time feel but with a driving plot. I'll keep an eye on it.

>Ernie Hudson is the Corgi King

CREEEEEEPY STUFF HAPPENS ON THE TRAIN
It's up to Tulip to make her way home!

Nick Cross seems pretty good at overseeing the art direction for a lot of different-looking pilots.

The monster actually freaked me out when I saw it. It's way weirder and unnerving than I expected for a kids show, especially with the art style.

Needs King Corgi as regular character

Looks awesome, bet it'll never air

>make a logical, level-headed & intrepid MC
>make it a girl

lol

It reminds me of that face stealer from Avatar TLA.

zero chance
cn has stopped greenlighting new, original IPs

Those loose boots look so easy to take off...

>she doesn't take them off for going into the water
>she doesn't lose one of them when grabed by the foot

>Credited as 'Steward', also voiced by Ashley Johnson
>already intrigued by mystery

well fuck, I'm on board

looks good
but why had it to be a girl again?

To trigger you. :)

Well it worked im sick of this sjw bullshit

RETURN TO YOUR SEAT

Those clever bastards are going to get a show just because of how vague they were about everything.

Genuinely curious here, what about a girl main character is sjw bullshit? Like if she was being oppressed by men or had a girlfriend or god forbid a penis I'd get it, but she's just a girl /sincerity

kek
the will end the next episode with the old "whats in the box" trick
everyone wants to know so they get a new episode
>repeat
>?
>profit

>Aliens is SJW bullshit
>Tomb Raider Classic is SJW bullshit
>Rats of NIMH is SJW bullshit
>Red Sonja is SJW bullshit
>The Book of Esther is SJW bullshit

Jesus Sup Forums is getting tiresome

>After the Bee and Puppycat scam worked, all you need to do to Greenwich a show is make something with an appealing art style and vague foreshadowing of deep dark lore
Welp, can't trust anything anymore.

It's the amout of girls in shows these days
name a show with a male lead and not a stupid male sidekick
and don't say gravity falls

>don't insult me or i have to go back to my safe...i mean Sup Forums

...

Like, any show, or any animated show

Had Bolin

Off the top of my head, Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball, Spongebob, FOP, El Tigre, Harvey Beaks, Milo Murphy's Law, Pickle and Peanut, Voltron Legendary Defenders, Danny Phantom, ATLA, Adventure Time, Generator Rex...

Not every cartoon with a girl is SJW Bullshitâ„¢

You mean, I don't know, practically everything on TV in the past few years? I can't tell if you're being serious or not.
>Over the Garden Wall
>Gumball
>Clarence
>Steven Universe
>Adventure Time
>Regular Show
>We Bare Bears
>Murphy's Law
>The Loud House
>Harvey Beaks
>Wander Over Yonder
>Voltron: LD
I can keep going. Actually, I can't even think of a cartoon with a girl protag off the top of my head besides LOK.

Star Vs.?

Wasn't fond of anything there really and then I crack at a smile at a literal fart car.

What's wrong with me these days.

Kim Possible and MLP are all I got

wow
sure showed him, nigga

Transformers: Robots in Disguise
Thunderbirds Are Go
Adventure Time
Steven Universe

Don't forget My Life as a Teenage Robot and Wild Thorberries, those were my jam

But yeah the list of shows with guy leads is like six times longer no matter how you slice it

Yeesh...I never really realized how crazy disproportionate the ratio is. I guess we really could use some more girl MCs.

To be fair, the voice is pretty funny.

still don't like the female in this pilot....

Not liking characters comes down to individual taste, so whatever

Where's the porn?

Not hyped. Getting hyped jinxes shows and ensures they'll run out of ideas by the end of the season.

The pilot's only been up for a few hours

give it like two days they're be porn. Literally infinite possibilities in that train, porn set up is practically gift wrapped for you

soon

Steven Universe is a boy in name only. He's a feminine character in a overwhelmingly feminine show. He's also surrounded by a cast of "females".

Citing Steven Universe as an example of a show 'with a male lead' is disingenuous.

Does he have a penis? Then he is a male.

Oh fuck off. He's a boy and he's the main character. Women can be masculine, men can be feminine, who gives a shit.

Congrats, you took one name of like 40 out of the running by being pedantic. The ratio of a lot more boy led shows than girl led ones still stands

Feminine how? He's a friggin kid-

This will end up exactly like the last 2 batches of pilots I guarantee you

How'd that end?

>This will never be greenlit
>Steven Universe will get ten more seasons and five OVAs

we are in the darkest timeline

He's a character that was designed to be deliberately feminine in a show that prides itself on being overwhelmingly feminine as admitted by the creators themselves.

Using SU as an example of a show with a "male lead" is laughable.

is it really overwhelmingly feminine or are you perhaps extremely sensitive

see

>triggered

...

Nothing got greenlit, as CN hates new ideas

Because out of the numerous shows with male leads that were listed - in addition to the dozens and dozens with male leads that aired in the past - god forbid we have one single show starring a boy who's slightly feminine.

nice meme

True but back then they weren't running out the clock on some major tent poles. Something has gotta fill the space left by AT and RS

What the fuck are you talking about
CN hasn't greenlit anything for the last year and a half

you say that like it's unusual. Animation is expensive and takes a fuckton of time, they don't have the roll out schedule of a lot of other networks because of it.

It was a list of only a single dozen of which 1 was a miniseries that's over, 2 others which are already canceled, and at least least 3 others which are ending.

i appreciate that

lets get a courage reboot

See >in addition to the dozens and dozens with male leads that aired in the past

user...Come on. All of the ones that were listed included pretty much every major cartoon that has aired in the past couple of years. Go ahead and google a list of every cartoon that's aired in the past decade. I guarantee you the ratio will be hugely in favor of male leads. Don't be obtuse.

> the ratio will be hugely in favor of male leads

Not as much as you believe, I suspect.

>suddenly rick

Okay if you wanna play I'm gonna play

You want me to go through Disney and CN too, or is my point made?

That was interesting.

Congratulations on getting me to waste 20 minutes replying to you.

Awesome. I'm not gonna try and list all the cartoons Disney has ever put out, that's madness. They're actually has a lot more female lead shows than I gave it credit for, Proud Family, Lilo and Stich, Kim Possible, Pepper Anne, Little Mermaid, and even beyond that most of their other stuff has females in prominent co-staring roles.

Still, overwhelming majority of cartoons star dudes. Point has been more than made.

Cartoon writers suck at writing female characters.

tfw no gf voiced by Ashley Johnson

God you just sound like an insecure fucking coward

A well-made pilot, but does anyone else hate how TV writers write smart characters? They just threw in smart-sounding words and phrases to let us know that she's smart, but they didn't do it in a natural way.

>"numbers are quantitative, they represent things"
Yeah, and? You're not really saying anything useful or relevant. I'm glad you know that quantities are quantitative though.

>"Correlation isn't causation. I know that."
How is that related to your hand number? What led you to believe that was correlated?

If you want your character to be smart then just have her be smart. You don't need them to recite some code phrase that only "geniuses" know.

She's frustrated about the lack of representation that she can see. The numbers have to represent something, and she doesn't know what that something is, hence her outburst about them being dumb.

The correlation line is even easier. The King Dog mentioned that the monster showed up about a week ago, when her numbers did. She was hoping the correlation (the week ago) lead to them being connected. But the correlation was not causation, them both showing up about a week ago didn't mean they were related... except it might have because of what happened after the monster left.

Oh I forgot about the part about it showing up a week ago. That makes more sense now.

I like the show it looks great but the vice actor doesn't work with me

It looks fucking great, I hope this gets greenlit along with Victor and Valentino.

This seems pretty good; I like the concept that the monster thing she fought is the overarching bad guy (or a servant of the bad guy) and the show will be about wacky adventures and also getting closer to the girl uncovering the mystery and getting out. I'd like to have more context in the actual show if it gets one.

Girl was serviceable, Ellie's voice is kind of weird but she works.
Robot is kind of annoying, I wish he just had his quirky side, his Eeyore part isn't funny at all.
Dog dude was fun, monster was cool, and the train in general is really interesting. They really liked that episode of Adventure Time huh.

How did she go through 53 rooms and not notice the hand? Am I missing something, it seems like it should have been obvious pretty quickly.

You are. If the hand was for rooms she would have noticed by now. The number went down in relation to the monster, not the room

I thought it went up to 54 though right?
That makes sense, 53 seems like an odd one to start on but it'll obviously be explained later. Maybe like the 53rd passenger on the train.

Looks interesting. I'm not hyped, but I'll give it a chance

It went down to 49.

She seem passable but I get where your coming from. Let's hope it can get green lit

It was 53 the whole episode, then it went down to 49

Ellie form last of us right ? If so I knew it sounded familiar.

Wow I am bad at remembering things from a video I watched five minutes ago, sorry about that. Interesting.

Not as good of a hook as something like GF but a good starting point to expand on.

yeah that's her. she is/was also terra in teen titans/TTGO

It went down after she "beat" the monster to 49

Well danm

>Cartoon has female lead
>Sup Forums assumes its feminist bullshit
okay

>Robot is kind of annoying, I wish he just had his quirky side, his Eeyore part isn't funny at all.

>He doesn't like a Hitchiker's Guide reference
Leave.
