You're right. Why the fuck is this film so comfy? Makes no sense.
I nominate Rush Hour 2.

I liked The Descendants. Also Master and Commander, Coraline, Blade Runner

>lost in trans
>comfy.

Nigga that movie makes me melancholic and anxious. Its a fucking romantic drama about lost opportunities adulthood and responsibilities and shit. How can you find that comfy?

Comfiness to me is stuff like buddy comedies or straight up Romance movies

Se7en is comfy for some reason. Maybe the rain.
Forest Gump is classic comfy.

>Manchester by the Sea

That's not comfy. That's just depressing and boring.

This one works for me.

that horror movie in an old hotel with a cute blonde girl

Comfy means different things to different people. I find 'Enter the Void' the be comfy but think most have the same reaction you had to LIT.

try Sideways and The Descendants

...

Here's something more recent for you OP

>EtV
>comfy

You need help bruh. That shit gave me a raging headache and it didn't help that it managed that while lulling me to sleep.

The first 20 minutes are excellent 9/10 but its a good 20 or 20 minutes too long, too repetitive with cutaways and focuses way too creepily on the sister having sex.

I didnt need to LITERALLY see a dick cuming inside a fucking vagina.

Almost Famous
The Royal Tenenbaums,The Darjeeling Limited or anything from Wes Anderson really

disgust is what I felt after that movie

The Inkeepers?

If you like Lost in Translation I'd definitely recommend Wong Kar Wai's stuff, especially Chungking Express and Fallen Angels

comfy

Check out The Descendants also starring Clooney.

Rushmore is comfy kino for me.

I went to the movies to see Youth in Revolt when I was ~14 and walked out it was so bad. since my friend and me already paid for a movie, we went into Up in the Air. I don't know why, but it was pretty entertaining

Idiocracy is my supreme comfy

...

Tim's Vermeer I found very comfy
Brokeback Mountain was kinda comfy
Detachment is comfy in places (but also sad in places)
I found the general vibe of No Country for Old Men comfy at times in that it's easy and pleasing to watch

Fallen Angels if fucking DEPRESSING.
There isnt another word to describe it.

I suppose, but that whole rain-soaked 90s Hong Kong neon aesthetic is maximum comfy for me still

The terminal is a pretty comfy movie

...

This is my go-to hangover movie. Comfy as shit.

some comfy shit for you op:
moonrise kingdom
burn after reading
frances ha
the before trilogy
good night and good luck
sideways
inherent vice
midnight in paris

Wes Anderson is prime comfy

28 Days Later

The directing wasn't the problem with Juno.

Sossamon is PERFECT in this movie.

Fincher is supprisingly comfy give the subject matter of most of his films

For me, it's:
>(500) Days of Summer
>Amélie
>Treasure Planet
Just a part of my personal comfy list.

This, most Ghibli films too.

Dogville
Slingblade
Dollars trilogy
Dirty Harry movies but I don't like The Enforcer and The Deadpool has a cool idea but meh. Really anything Eastwood is great.
Killer Joe
Beavis and Butthead Do America
LoTR trilogy and maybe Desolation of Smaug despite being sequel bait.
Rudderless

My list is violent and all but there's a certain justice that makes it right.

Conspiracy

This is my go to movie whenever I'm sick.

The soundtrack is really relaxing.
Speaking of comfy soundtracks. This.

Comfiest film ever made by far

Girl With Dragon Tattoo is his comfiest

The Taste of Tea

Stardust is prime comfy

The Terminal
Anchorman
In Bruges

Probably my MOTY 2016. I don't think anything has held my attention for so long after watching since maybe The Truman Show
