JUST YOOOOUUU

I'm callin' it a day. This thread has been the one sane place I've seen regarding the steaming pile of manure I've been conned into watching over the last many weeks. It's been an honour and a privilege to be here, but I can also say that I'm kinda finished for real this time. I'll love my 'complete' Blu-ray set of Twin Peaks forever, but that's what it is: complete. The abomination that is The Return is simply something I'll ignore. The image of Cooper walking out from the curtains and back into Glastonbury Grove is the only image my mind requires and I at least got that.

But I can no longer really call myself a David Lynch fan and for a while ahead, no doubt I'll struggle to appreciate any of his work, such is the stench generated by the 18 parts of garbage I've sat through.

I've not been just profoundly disappointed; I've been profoundly saddened and profoundly disillusioned.

Laura>Maddie

Will there be a movie?

Me on the right

David Lunch lol

Post more Lynch ladies

So were the Handi Mart employees lodge spirits?

...

>laura really was the muffin

It would be pottery to make another movie but just a sarah palmer movie, with the first 30 minutes being FBI stuff

YOU JUST KNOW

Kill the general. Bring back the threads desu.

Why?

Sheryl = Sheryl

Sheryl's hotter in blonde.

Sarah is not possessed by "evil" in The Return, she is not like Leland. She has been completely engulfed by trauma. That is who The Jumping Man is, he's the physical embodiment of garmonbozia, the pain and sorrow.

That's why we see him in a perpetual state of turmoil, because he's cycling through all the agony.

People keep throwing this theory to the wayside in favor of Judy, but there's nothing to suggest she would be Judy. Also, what else is The Jumping Man? Feel free to give an alternate read on him, because all I've heard is "He's a lodge spy" which really? Does that seem like something Lynch would do, that is so terribly stupid that I can't believe it is being said with a straight face.

the spirit world was heavily connected to the psychological state of the characters in FWWM, The Return is no different.

Let it die, friends. We'll meet again in October.

>that little smirk she does after Gordon says "Not where it counts, buddy"
nice

>120 minute KINO about the fusco brothers solving crimes with a 2 minute dougie cameo

True but she is a qt either way

What the fuck was the point of Carl's subplot?

do i need to watch seasons 1 & 2 to get s3 or is it like fargo?

i tried watching s1e1 but it looks so dated

We'll stop when /got/ and /who/ agree to as well.

sarah palmer scenes were among best, really bleak and full of sorrow. Palmer residence was very eerie place even in first seasons

who?

You have to watch everything in the following order: Season 1 -> Season 2 -> Fire Walk With Me -> Season 3

Start at the beginning. It's outdated in it's soap opera elements but they're comfy and charming regardless so you'll end up liking it. The direction and cinematography is very ageless and forward-thinking though

about to replay an Elder Scrolls game (won't say which). should i go khajiit, argonian, dark elf, or redguard?

only half the movie is canon so just watch that
you'll be confused by s3 either way and most of the returning cast does nothing to move the plot forward in the return

he can't keep getting away with it

Let's take a break from all this finale dissection and reflect on the season as a whole. Post moments you loved

Reminder that Lissie wrote a song that confirms that Cooper is gonna go rogue in the wild wild west (Pic related is rogue Cooper)

This guy hands you a GPS and tells you to go stand in a specific spot
What do you do?

>You haven't forgotten about me have you, user?

this was a great scene

Holy shit

DOugeio get forgot

Reminder that David Lynch is literally a cult leader and most of the main cast members of Twin Peaks: The Return are in on it (suggestibility.org).

Why are we shown that Judy is at the Palmer house?

Is David Lynch the most powerful man on earth?

I almost forgot how fucking great Dougie's Casino scene was until I rewatched it last night.

>call for help

>only half the movie is canon
>skipping the original series
An astounding amount of retardation in just one post.

I almost forgot how fucking terrible it was.

...

I almost forgot David Lynch is a cult leader.

...

that whole bit felt like they had a band planned initially, they said no, and just improvised and played ZZ Top.

I was just listening to a interview on the radio with Kyle, and he calls the fans "really solid". You have no excuse now, pic related is how he sees you
Kyle also thinks S3 was about "going back", and about revisiting Cooper's story. Laura is literally irrelevant to S3.
He also says he watched Twin Peaks weekly mostly alone.

Anyone else only come to Sup Forums for /tpg/?

I've been coming to this site for about 8 years, and used to be a regular Sup Forums, Sup Forums, Sup Forums, /fit/, and /his/-poster, but they've all gone to shit now. Once /tpg/ dies I don't know where I'll go. I don't really use any other websites. This place feels like my home, but I know I can't stay any longer.

It's a strange feel /tpg/ bros.

>Kyle also thinks S3 was about "going back", and about revisiting Cooper's story.
That's good and all, until you remember Lynch forgot Annie.

I haven't browsed anything but /tpg/ since the show first started, and now that its ended I still haven't.

When /tpg/ dies, I'll leave the site for good.

There's still worthwhile discussion to be found. No other site compares while also being as fast.

I think it was just an excuse to have the music fuck up when Freddy punches someone (even though that makes no sense anyway).

Why do you guys get so mad about Laura

Go back to RedLobsterPosting

That's why I never wanted the show to end. Because at least after each episode was over you can go to /tpg/ for the best generals.

I still browse Sup Forums to keep up with new albums as well as /ck/, but yeah other than that /tpg/'s all I care about anymore

I sometimes check /tg/ to see if there's an interesting thread but that's rarely the case so /tpg/ is basically all of my Sup Forums activity too now

lynch forgot alot about cooper's story
and retconned his best friend now being Gordon and the love of his life being Diane

?

Eddie Vedder confirmed you can't go back.

>that sound

it was literally just Vedder and Lynched posting

I forgot Annie, too, so it's ok.
Because she's old and busted. Her character is pure contrived melodrama and always has been. It feels good that in a 20 minute interview, the words "Laura Palmer" aren't uttered even once by Kyle or the interviewer.

Sorry you're being disregarded. People are probably not getting the references.

>Oi!

>Part 18's credit music is done by Angelo
This piece feels a lot different from anything else he's done for the series.

though a cool idea for a fan theory, this is highly unlikely.

1. Jefferies tells Coop that Judy is at the Palmer house

2. the Sarah scene at the bar

3. In scenes with the Giant, the image of the Palmer house flashes on the screen before switching to the outside view of the Sheriffs station, indicating the importance of what's happening inside the house

Sarah = Judy

Nevermind Laura, JUDY, and all the rest: what does /tpg/ actually think happened to Coop at the end?

and it was so good.

He fucked up and became nonexistent

i use to be Sup Forums Sup Forums /lit/ Sup Forums /fa/ Sup Forums
/p/ and /gif/

now i'm down to just /tpg/ Sup Forums and /p/

tell him that I don't need to do anything he says, I want.

and then proceed to blow myself up with the wrong coordinates

IT'S

...

you should go fuck yourself

The entire sequence of Dougie meeting the Mitchums in the desert, and then going to the restaurant is highest quality kino. The subverted tension of their desert confrontation, them being chums at dinner, Dougie becoming enamored with the music, and homeless lady coming to thank Mr. Jackpots. Honestly might be my favorite sequence in the entire season.

all the replies you got are correct, in addition, you should buy & read Mark Frosts book: The Secret History of Twin Peaks
you can buy my book here: amazon.com/Secret-History-Twin-Peaks-Novel/dp/1250075580

Judy did something to the universe, which the Giant knew was going to happen so he hinted at it to both Coop and Andy on two separate occasions.

Carrie clearly has recognition of a past life, or something, in which she was Laura (thus the scream at the end), and Coop remembers who he was, so it appears the universe was deliberately altered to protect Judy from being defeated by Coop and Laura.

Perhaps Mrs. Tremond was a tulpa, or an apparition while Judy remained hidden within the house? (we never hear Mrs. Tremond's husband after all)
