Everything about the first GI Joe movie was totally awesome fuck you

Actually i take it back, they could've done a lot better by Baroness.

Cavill or Gadot or Eisenberg

Channing Tatum in that same film was way worse.

He and Destro were the absolute best things about the movie

Wha? He didn't even get his mask until the end and it looked like shit.

I liked the accelerator suits

But the mad scientist mask and monocle thing looked cool as fuck.

Baron zemo
Hawk eye
Captain America
Scarlet witch
Tom Holland
Chris hemsworth

I meant Destro.

Oh. Well, the transparent Cobra Commander mask looked terrible too.

Ehh, she had nice tits and looked cute in glasses. She was fine.

Not even close.

you never watched the cartoon did you?

...

Such a fucking waste.

Honestly, the commander mask was like one of the best parts to me.

You didn't think about this much before making the thread did you?

>Implying that isn't the best

nigga hol up

Would you say that no one cared who he was before he put on the mask?

Cavil is fine. It is everything else about the movies that is wrong.

>Hating on Schumacher batman this late in the game
It's too late user, we love this campy shit now.

yeah but all the backstory was bad and not fun

no but i know it's a cartoon to sell toys so...

casting was fine 3rd act of the film shit the bed

As someone who grew up with Sunbow GI Joe I can say that the whole film played out like the old 80s cartoon it just went way to dumb in the last act like posted

No. We don't love something because it's campy. We love it if it is fun and it is fun in the right ways.

Schumacher's Batman films weren't good, but goddamn they were him all over.

I'm not saying that they're better than current superhero films, but by and large they do have a more clear identity. It's much easier to find character in Batman and Robin than Thor 2, even if that character is unadulterated cheese.

I only watched the sequel once years ago, and I thought it was pretty cool. Snake eyes in particular looked great, probably one of my favorite costume adaptations in these kind of movies. even bought a $100 figure of him.

I would have to disagree. Both Duke and the Baroness cared for him a great deal. He might have felt differently though.

The version with the lips in the first movie was better.

fuck you that movie is hilarious and great

Saban should have learned from Hasbro's mistake and gotten rid of those stupid fucking lip molded face guards...

Couldn't take snake eyes seriously in the first movie cause it always looked like he wanted to smooch, and I was NOT in the mood for smooches while watching that movie...

I always forget this was a thing.

Oh fuck it had hotthead in it and everything

I liked the second GI Joe movie.

Came to post this. Leaving satisfied.

>Captain America
>Scarlet witch
I will fight you.

It was okay but it looked cheap as fuck. Wasn't the end a fistfight on a beach with some nondescript highway in the background?

Also Bruce Willis was useless and depressed as always.

No

I just watched it and it is horrible and unfunny.

>Saban should have learned from Hasbro's mistake and gotten rid of those stupid fucking lip molded face guards...
No fuck off, those lips are sentai tradition. It doesn't work for Snake Eyes, but certain ranger teams need it.

How is Brendan Fraser as Sgt. Slaughter not your foremost complaint?

Why would anyone complain about that? He had one line, 15 seconds of screen time and then fucked off.

Agreed. The version without seems cheaper somehow.

>yeah but all the backstory was bad and not fun
Isn't that part of her comics backstory?

Laird James McCullen Destro is far more than a mere mask, user.

That was PART of the final fight, with Roadblock and Firefly having a speedboat battle that morphs into beachbound fisticuffs after said boats crash into the shore, while everyone else handled their respective parts of the mission to rescue the president and stop Cobra.

Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face was probably the worst casting.

>Brendan Fraser as Sgt. Slaughter
He was Sgt. Stone actually, though he was initially supposed to play Gung-Ho.

Huh. I didn't even notice he didn't have lips in this one. Shows how much I was paying attention.

Honestly I thought he was a neat spin on Lex. Like a Social Media Tycoon Lex.

fuck off

Honestly this movie made me laugh more often than not. Especially whenever Denis Quaid said "And knowing is half the battle". Not to mention

>What's his deal?
>He doesn't speak.
>Why?
>He doesn't say.

What was the idea behind those again? It seems like they just had a script that they did not believe would make a movie that would sell, so they just slapped the GI Joe license into it, changed stuff around, and that was one of the things that remained from the old original script for whatever reason.

No. the casting was spot on, it was the script and directing that was shit.

having the best doctor as villain was funny

This.

The accelerator suits were them trying to get some of that Iron Man money. The movie had come out the year before.

This dude was fucking straight out of the comics and I'll always have a soft spot for the movie because of it

Oh fuck. The only thing that could've made the movie funnier is Brendan Frasier using a shitty Cajun accent in his cameo.

stop shilling max

I know dick all about G.I. Joe. Are these movies worth watching for someone who's not really a fan? I kind of want to become one.

I like some parts of the first (mostly the ninja fights, Zartan, and Destro) and love the second. I'm mostly a fan of the Marvel comics and the Renegades series.

Nah the roof scene was great

>blonde hair
>no accent
>fake glasses
>fine

It's like you know nothing about what makes her appealing

>Zemo
Yeah, i'll give you that one.
>Hawkeye
He's okay, not the best.
>Captain America
No.
>Scarlet Witch
Not accurate by any means, but still pretty good
>Tom Holland
Haven't seen enough to make an opinion.
>Chrid Hemsworth
Agreed.
