A 10 year-old created a show? I'm impressed.
What the hell kind of quality were you even expecting? It's not like a 10 year is able to produce something amazing
I was expecting the quality of Total Drama Island.
Sounds to me like you're jealous you didn't make a show 10 years old, even if it was shit
I am not jealous. All I am saying is that this 10 year old created a show that was cancer.
>hating on BFDI
ALRIGHT FINALLY someone acknowledges this show. I WOULD go on a huge and stupidly long essay on why BFDI is one of the greatest shows to ever exist, but I'll just use these instead:
What BFDI even is (spoilers emminent):
battlefordreamisland.wikia.com
Every episode of the first season of BFDI (keep in mind that the first episode was made by a 10 year old in 2010. It only gets better.):

And that's all of season 1! Season 2 is interesting because they held a short poll over who should rejoin, and the choices consisted of every original character and a wide range of recommended characters, which you can see near the beginning of the first episode of season 2. Anyway, moving on!

Ok, this is where things get sad. The creators, obviously, grew up. They had to deal with high school and eventually college stuff, so the 6th episode of the 2nd season was put on hold for 3 whole years. And then, after such a long time of waiting, we finally got what we had been waiting for:
Season 3
Episode 1:youtube.com
Yes, it had finally returned. That was a real good day for me.
Anyway, now I'm gonna talk about the response of this show. First off, obviously very little people know that this exists. And you may think it's bad, and that's ok. But to me, I grew up with this show, and when you grow up with something, you appreciate just how much it grows. Like I said before, this show only gets better, and it has only gotten better over the years. The few people who know about this show really love it.
And that's where we go into the fanbase of this show, which is... not EXTREME DEVIANTART EDGY OC FURSONA tier, but definitely not the least cringey. One of the better fanbases. I will discuss this in the next post. Stay tuned (if anyone out there is even in this thread)
Ok, so when BFDI was several episodes in, this showed up:
youtube.com
Yes, a direct ripoff. The crazy thing is: no one cared! Michael and Cary didn't care. Everyone else liked it, and Inanimate Insanity has grown even more than BFDI itself.
Just like BFDI, Inanimate Insanity starts off horrendous but could only get better, and the second season is much better. The creator and crew grew up, learned stuff, and later episodes of the second season have actual cohesive plot and character development. Heck, they had a Kickstarter a few months ago, and they reached their goal. Now the creator, Adam, is in college to pursue a future career in animation. The show rarely updates, but now it does with HIGH QUALITY akin to that of an actual good cartoon.
And now we talk about the not so good stuff. Well, first the other good stuff. Loads of other people got drawn into the whole concept of BFDI and such, and began to make their OWN shows with anthropomorphic inanimate characters in competitions. The "Object Community" was born (and yes, that name makes me cringe every time). There are several of them that are... pretty good actually, and some even go so inspired as to pursue entire careers in animation! Seriously, there are some real talented people in there. Also, >tfw middle schoolers and high schoolers are better animators than you
But of course, most of it is garbage. A LOT of garbage. And the DeviantArt...
Oh boy. I can't lie: The Object Community has the absolute laziest OCs in the entire universe. Seriously. You can just take any object, give it the traditional limbs and face, throw some "personality" and "backstory", and you're done. There's a bunch of cringe out there, folks. Tread lightly.
Post got too long; FINAL POST SOON
In conclusion, BFDI is a show that really tends to be highly appreciative only if you've been with it for a decent amount of time. The "Object Community" is full of mountains of cringe (though definitely not the absolute cringiest), but there are a few examples that are so surprisingly successful that they have lead to children teaching themselves how to animate and lead those people to aspire to become animators. Doesn't that make you feel good, Sup Forums? It sure does to me.
Well, that's that. I've been meaning to tell people here the story of BFDI, but it never happened until today. Thanks for bothering to read this if anyone even bothered to be here at all. I hope you guys appreciate BFDI as much as I do.
also no Leafy jokes. The show started in 2010. LeafyIsHere wasn't a thing back then. Stop.
>tfw no one cares anyway
I expected as much
I hope at least someone looks at this
all i know is that these niggas made this thing
newgrounds.com
FINALLY SOMEONE
Ah yes, Michael and Cary have been known for their surprisingly complex cretions
I mean, look at this shit. Just look at the stuff on Cary's channel.
youtube.com
then again, they are Chinese
their million variations on the climbing game was some shit too
This is the saddest, most autistic post that I've ever seen. But I admire the dedication
pic unrelated
thanks
We're all a little sad and autistic in someway
I'm not gonna read or watch all of this, but I get what you're saying anyway.
I'm surprised no one has brought up Total Drama Island yet, as like BFDI and Inanimate Insanity, it's an animated reality show, despite the fact that it doesn't have objects in it
Well, for one, BFDI was inspired BY Total Drama Island, although the shows are nothing alike.
Also, Total Drama Island is an actual TV show, whereas BFDI is a moderately obscure webseries.
What is it that you think I'm saying?
please be something good
This character was so weird and funny.
Bubble has such a unique accent
I agree. I don't know why, but I have always really liked this jerk.
He CAN be pretty funny
Oh yeah, it's good.
Something from when you were younger that grew up with you and can still be appreciated as an adult. Oh yeah, and that it's one of those obscure-ish internet originals.
It's something quite special.
>said oh yeah twice
Wish I read that over.
How did you discover BFDI?
Sowhat if it is cancer, hes like 17 now, probably knows it's cancer and he's probably doing better things with his life than making shitty cartoons
>How did you discover BFDI?
From this thread.
I was talking about you, not me. Although I've had similar things as to what I described in my life.
he revived bfdi after a 3 year hiatus due to popular demand
He still has a great future ahead of him, though. Look at his other channel and see all the stuff he's done:
>tfw you turn a thread completely against OP
I feel more degraded, yet more accomplished
>Klasky Csupo logos following me around on youtube
>I somehow make it out alive and end up coming across some show with a bunch of household items that talk
>I know what it's called now
Thanks OP, I think..
