Japanese culture is hot!
Ok Chang, calm ur nerves
don't be rude it just needed a museum to house all the relics
plus if the japanese got their hands on it it would just become like the porcelain tower, looted and burned
great to see comminists are not only ruining buildings in the west
Fucking hideous. Why don't communists have good taste
Don't tell me that is real
欧米オワタ
That looks like complete shit. China has no culture left. The Manchus made sure to wipe it out. So did the commies.
>post modernism
>communist
what did denmark mean by this?
>The original building, the armory, was built between 1873-1876
people ruin buildings like this on purpose, they see tradition and history as something to be destroyed
China has culture though.
The Manchus wiped themselves out if anything. 10 million Manchu less than 10 native speakers of the language, less than 100 fluent. All dropped their Manchu name and adopted han name.
Nu-communism won
Just because they are gone now doesn't mean they didn't destroy Chinese culture
-_-
Depends on how you look at the term culture. The queue was symbolic, mostly to show Manchus victory over han Chinese, a cuck stamp if you will. The queue is the only Manchu "culture" that is forcibly imposed on the han populace, that's only applied to alive males that's not taoist or Confuciuist. Manchus adopted han literature and philosophy and pretty much everything else. Although Manchu was the de jure language of the empire, classical Chinese was still the most used language by the court. Manchu emperors adopted Chinese names and practices just like the dynasties before it.
Do chinks deserve any less?
>The queue is the only Manchu "culture" that is forcibly imposed on the han populace
What kind of drugs are you on?
Even contemporary Chinese clothing is Manchu derived
This.

>China holds the APEC
>the host nation is supposed to prepare its "national clothing" for the guests
>China prepares "Tang dynasty clothing"
>but it's actually MANCHU clothing
>this causes a massive amount of butthurt throughout China
>chinks start a nationalist movement to recreate their true "national clothing" (which had been wiped out by the Manchus centuries ago)
>but no one knows what it actually looked like, so people just make shit up
>"This clothing, portrayed in sketches attached to the post, was characterized by broad sleeves and flowing robes decorated with brilliant colors and elaborate designs, and was known simply as “Han Clothing,” or the traditional clothing of the Han. There is in fact no clear history indicating that there was any such apparel in existence under the name Han Clothing..."
Honestly, that's fucking sad.
Clothing is part of culture but not all of it. The qipao/cheongsam became popular during the early republic of China era, when China became a novelty and was introduced to the west. At that point the west mainly know China through the manchu, thus their appearances became the stereotype of China, ex. Fu Manchu. The Manchu customs are then engineered to fit the contemporary clothing design, and after the wealthy class of Shanghai wore it, the image became synposis with the image of China. The Vietnamese ao dai and the Mongolian clothing are also somewhat heavily influenced by the Manchu dress. Does that also say Manchus erased Vietnamese and Mongolian traditional culture? No.
They should have just put on little blue Mao suits and been done with it.
>chinks start a nationalist movement to recreate their true "national clothing" (which had been wiped out by the Manchus centuries ago)
>but no one knows what it actually looked like, so people just make shit up
Wouldn't it look something like this? I'm fairly sure there's plenty of artwork showing pre-Manchu clothing.
The Manchu conquest is a huge source of national humiliation for China, yet at the same time they wish they had back all of the clay controlled by the Qing Dynasty.
that looks dope as fuck
>Does that also say Manchus erased Vietnamese and Mongolian traditional culture?
Yes.
Anyways, Mongols and Manchus were from the same cultural group
It's not nobody knows what it looks like, it's mostly because there's no popular support. The Chinese government didn't choose hanfu because
1. It's not well known globally.
2. Hanfu only represent the Hans, while the tangzhuang or whatever it's called is rather inclusive to most ethnic groups.
Japan still keeps alive Tang dynasty clothing. Heian period clothes are worn by Emperor
I love it
Kill yourselves, lewronggeneration fucks.
