I even liked the Nu52 Interpretation of the trio, even though they started off poorly and never had any gradual time to develop as a family. All 3 of them were different in terms of personality and powers so they complimented each other.

Mostly the initial premise. It was an interesting take on the concept - going back to his roots as a clone bred as a weapon. At least it was until we learned that Lobdell was writing it.
I also liked the fact that his powers were more reliant on Psionics - mentally based as opposed to being another flying brick. It makes him more unique and more entertaining to see in combat - assuming we ever did have a writer creative enough to use Telekinesis to their fullest potential.

It was Byrne. He had a hard on for making Superman an American hick and the last living Kryptonian, so no Superman emergency squad, no Nightwing and Flamebird and no Kara. Also there was no Superboy, so no proper Losh. Krypto was fucking convulted too. Eventually Jimmy was sidelined more and more. What was DC thinking giving their biggest character to someone like Byrne.

Then after that cross-over he book lost all the momentum and direction.
No, fuck H'El on Earth, who was an awful villain, and whatever stupid additions Lobdell gave to Krypton's culture, which were cringy as fuck. Specially the clone wars shit, which was just Lobdell cribbing ideas from Byrne without an once of nuance and talent.

Sure, i couldnt get into Kon El's character in New52, but once he got with Superbro and Kara, the 3 of them felt natural and fun to me. The only story i didnt really like was the one where Superboy dies but it was only the end, and other than that, i enjoyed them a lot. Dat Kara especially.

I loved Supergirl's comic, but her the cross-overs were awful for her, specially under Lobdell, because they used her as the stupid/cunt of the family. It was also after the first cross-overs that her book lost the initial direction and we had constant new creative teams doing "new, bold directions" with her.
Superboy's comic was awful all around and i hate Nu52 Kon with passion. I even dropped reading Supergirl during her last run because he appeared in that, despite the good art.
Superman's comics were filled with constant cross-overs that simple fucked completely with the comics potential. It's like awfulness of certain books, like Superman and Superman/Wonder Woman, started to sip and encrust with the good books, Action Comics and Batman/Superman, making them all shitty by result. Take Batman/Superman as an example. The first arc was a beautiful thing, but the rest? Dear fucking God.
I felt bad for Greg Pak constantly having to work on building a shit sandwich with people like Scott Lobdell.

Reading Jeff Lemire's run on Superboy with Manapul's beautiful art, which was curt short thanks to Nu52 is like... watching your beautiful wife smile to you right before you're about to hit and crash your car killing everybody inside it.
You just had to do follow the Young Justice cartoon route and make Superboy's the lovechild between Superman and Lex Luthor which was created by the US in case they ever needed a Superman replacement. That's it. Then you can have Superman as his mentor and the YJ crowd as his friends. Not hard.

To be honest the New 52 Superbooks were way too incestuous. Crossovers up the ass. And they all hated each other, which drove me nuts.
I'm okay with things being more separate in Rebirth, at least to start. And I would totally be okay with Supergirl appearing in Superman and vice versa, as long as it doesn't necessitate an inter-title crossover. Just have the character guest star in the other character's book, please.

I'm with this user about the New 52 version; I especially dislike Kara because she seemed to have no real reason for hating Superman. She might as well have been a random Kryptonian who ended up on Earth, versus being an actual relation of Clark's.
The cross-overs they had with the three of them were related to each other - H'El (which was a pretty stupid idea - it was just -- well, let's think of someone so super powered he can essentially beat down all three of the Kryptonians on Earth BECAUSE REASONS and, then - as if that cross-over was such a block buster seller, they create a cross-over with him again as the villain in Krypton Returns. Yes, in that cross-over, they worked a bit better together and weren't at each other throats, but the overall arc and story/plot was beyond worthless.

The costume was awful. Why does she have long sleeves and those absurdly high knee less-boots and the metal crotch-shield. As a costume design, it's the worse of what someone would design for a porn parody.
Especially once they did the issue where the should proud papa giving the outfit to Kara as her passage to adulthood. NO ADULT FATHER ON ANY PLANET ANYWHERE would give that plate crotch shield to any daughter of them.
I don't think even Mormon's who believe in inter-marriage and think all women are good for is domestic servitude, sexual service, and procreation, would pimp our their daughter's to their fellow believers in that kind of outfit.
