Mmmm. Gangs of New York is the only one I've seen, so I'm gonna put that as #1. For the rest, I'll just do my favorite Quentin Tarantino movies.
>Reservoir Dogs
>Jackie Brown
>Pulp Fiction
>Kill Bill vol. 2

1.) Taxi Driver
2.) Goodfellas
3.) Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
4.) Raging Bull
5.) Casino

>No Taxi Driver in your top five

Why is that, if you care to elaborate? It's my favourite of his, even though I think Goodfellas is his most entertaining.

I wasn't big on Cape Fear when I rewatched it a couple of years ago. I remember loving it but now it seems a bit too over the top and over-produced. I really like the original film a lot when I finally saw that recently though, I recommend checking that out if you haven't OP.

Also I haven't seen Silence yet, is it really that good?

>Also I haven't seen Silence yet, is it really that good?
Yes, it's really great and spiritual.

fuck off pleb, Tarantino is redditcore

>Implying Tarantino isn't one of the greatest filmmakers to ever do it.
Tarantino probably inspired half of your favorite movies so fuck off.

>Kill Bill Vol 1.
>Pulp Fiction

Raging Bull is far more similar to Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy than to Goodfellas and Casino

1. Raging Bull
2. Goodfellas
3. Departed
4. Gangs of New York
5. Taxi Driver

Raging Bull could also be in the top 5 depending on my mood.

bait

Silence was let down by bad editing. Scorsese got the lady who did Raging Bill and The Departed when really he should have gotten someone who could edit it like the art film it wanted to be.

best: Goodfellas
worst: After Hours
most overrated: Casino
most underrated: The Color of Money
reddit: Gangs of New York

dont trust anybody who puts the age of innocence or after hours on a top 5 scorsese list

>Transcendental Meditation is a cult much better at hiding its power level than Scientology
>famous people affiliated with it are Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Hugh Jackman, Paul McCartney, Jerry Seinfeld, Martin Scorsese and many others with David Lynch especially involved in it
>David Lynch Foundation is raising money to put TM in schools among other things
>Lynch is casting people out of TM and recruting cast members for TM (Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Heather Graham, Laura Dern, Julee Cruise, Chrysta Bell, Michael Cera, David Bowie, Naomi Watts, Sky Ferreira, Jim Belushi, Moby, ...)
>involves brainwashing/trance/hypnosis/suggestion (you are basically manipulated into being positively affected by meditation)
>Lynch is giving talks saying he's using TM to expand his "ball of consciousness" and fish for ideas making fans want to try it
>other supposed benefits include a "life getting better and better", infininite/pure intelligence, consciousness and bliss with problems basically solving themselves
>TM is a "simple relaxation technique" in the same way Scientology is a "simple personality test"
>the basic lessons ($1500) provide you with a "secret" mantra (there is a list) to repeat for 20 minutes
>additional lessons teach levitation, the meditation for world peace (needs a group of meditators the size of the square root of 1% of the worlds population) and a weird derivate of unified field theory among other things
>there are reports of health issues as a result of doing TM and needing more and more lessons for it to still have an effect
>there are reports of women getting sexually abused by TM founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (former Beatles guru, now dead and basically replaced by Lynch)
>more information: suggestibility.org, the documentary "David Wants to Fly", promotional video "Meditation, Creativity, Peace", several weird videos on YouTube (one shows Lynch sharing a stage with a German guy saying it's unfortunate Hitler didn't succeed)

what the fuck?!

pasta

big if true

1. Wolf of Wall Street
2. The Departed
Only seen those two

Taxi Driver

>American Gangster
>Taxi Driver
>Wolf of Wall Street
>The Departed
>Raging Bull/Goodfellas

Denzel throwing the mink coat into the fireplace is one of my favorite all time Gangster film scenes

That or him smashing a man's head in with a grand piano

Fuck
>american gangster
That's ridley scott. Always fuck that up

Replace american gangster with goodfellas i guess
Eh

I'd love to see Fabrice Luchini in a Scorsese movie. I don't why exactly, just something about his comedic sensibility...
