Holy shit how did they get a shotgun past the censors? Especially used in such a realistic, non cartoony way?

Holy shit how did they get a shotgun past the censors? Especially used in such a realistic, non cartoony way?

see? this shit is NOT for kids

...

Shotguns have been in aired cartoons before. Who says they haven't?

by not firing it

I don't get it, swords and sharp objects are fine even when they're swung in combat, but a shotgun aimed around for self-defense without being fired warrants a "holy shit"?

wtf

>that lack of trigger discipline

truly there is no redemption for used goods

Because generally a sword isn't an actual danger in society. You're far more likely to see a gun than a sword.

it wouldn't bet he first time vidalia's killed someone, she's not afraid of the consequences, Dewey's too scared of her to do shit to stop her

>TD when someone is breaking into your house
No.

> intend to shot someone
> keeping your finger off the trigger

>You're far more likely to see a gun than a sword.
All the more reason to not give a shit. If a show is set in the United States then owning a gun is normal.

Gun censorship hasn't been a thing for a few years. The only reason it occurred in pic related was because of WB's knee-jerk PR reaction after the theater shootings.

what does it shoot?

Because shotguns dont work on aliens

It shoots electricity, but it's basically just bullets with some added light to make them seen like energy blasts.

Some of the goofier weapons, like Pyg's blunderbuss or that bigass gun Humpty and Deathstroke use seem to shoot more realistic ammo than the "handguns".

...Imagine if it had.

"Huh. Four on the scouter. The aliens on this world sure are - "
"Git off mah propertay!"
BLAM!
"..Gosh dern it, Mary-Ann, dat feller sure wez talkin' funny."

Looks like weird shape for bullets. with a barrel like this electricity blasts make more sense.

HAAEYY YOOUUUU

>"Genious farmer, GENIOUS"

Because guns are usually censored look at GI Joe

>Double barrel shotgun
>Only one trigger
That's not how it works you little shit!

>Look at a thirty year old cartoon for a finger on the pulse of modern animation

GI Joe is what started it and what people are familiar with. Kid's cartoons have been shooting laser bullets and holding laser pistols for the better parts of thirty years now

Early TFS seems so poor now

You never have to put your finger on the trigger until the instant you wish to fire.
t. have actually fired a gun

They exist, they just fire both barrels at once.

This.

There is no difference in reaction time.

SU is already PG-rated because of girls kissing girls. It only acts like a kids show by choice, and as such can basically follow whatever censorship rules it wants.

To be fair though that really wasn't much a rule until about the 80's-90's when Jeff Cooper popularized the four rules of gun safety, some white trash breeding slut living in some middle of nowhere town wouldn't know jack shit about Jeff Cooper.

Also Rebecca is a nogunz Calarts liberal

>SU is already PG-rated because of girls kissing girls.

...Mike Pence is going to get this show banned, isn't he?

BtAS is more recent, fresher in the public's memory, and has characters firing actual weapons which exist in real life.

These arguments are exactly as ludicrous as each other.

>acquiring a target takes longer than putting your finger on the trigger
This is why. For any counter arguments the time to recognize if its a target threat or not, the time it takes to put the finger there could be the difference of a family member that had a key you forgot existed or a bad guy, your finger STAYS OFF THE FUCKING TRIGGER

Fair point. Maybe this is a universe in which guns have triggers that magically don't go off when pulled unless the user intends to.

It had its moments (even if it there were some shitty gags like the Yoshi one), but yeah it didn't really get good until Vegeta came to Earth, and it didn't become a god tier abridged series until Namek.

You just reminded of that one episode of Powerpuff Girls with the evil cop in it and all the guns in that episode were drawn to barely look like guns and they were all colored bright solid red.

Looking back on it, Powerpuff Girls had some real shit art.

>Heavily stylized
>shit
This fucking guy.

There's a fine line.
At points, PPG gets close to crossing it.

I too thought this. Like what if scouters didnt read potential energy in the form of gunpowder and instead was looking at how strong the farmer is at bludgeoning someone with a shotgun.

I see you follow silver's liveblog

funny how the liberals recognize the importance of having guns sometimes.
Must have been a mistake

I don't understand what would have to be censored in this image

You think Tumblrs would know how guns work?

Guns KILL people, user...

Guns are completely okay as long as they aren't being pointed at people. If they do get fired, the target or the shooter must be off-screen.

Fuck off you stupid fucking anti-gun nut.

>We will never get a cartoon made by a guy with a huge gun collection who regularly goes to the range or innawoods.

Because it is a strong independent women holding it.

PPG was really inconsistent. sometines normal guns, sometimes red. it didn't seem to be an over-time-change either
