What did Windom Earle mean by this?

Why does this scene freak me out so much? There's something so off with Mr C that I can't put my finger on

reminder that the original timeline still exists.

when the lights go off in the sheriff's office - this is dale cooper warping out of this reality but it still continues without him.

essentially, cooper is the new philip jeffries. while jeffries is a tea pot - cooper will become a percolator.

lmao at this reaction to Part 17, she's about to get so fucking BTFO by 18

>assumptions assumptions assumptions
What I haven't seen any of you theoryfags doing is assembling all of the theories together, making a spreadsheet out of them and seeing what contradicts what.

But no, it's always jumping into assumptions and twisting everything to fit your pet theories instead of using something reasonable like logic and the process of elimination.

Fuck, I'd do it myself but I don't care enough to go through all that trouble just to make sense of a TV show.

>flattening out contradictions in a David Lynch production
not even that user but do you understand the point of dream logic?

>tfw no aggressive German photographer GF

You know what it means

>tfw Chrysta didn't perform at the Roadhouse

So /tpg/ can we all agree at least that this is the right and only rating for the Roadhouse performances?

>God tier
Audrey’s Dance played backwards

>Good
Chromatics (Shadow) Part 2
Trouble (Snake Eyes) Part 5

>Ok
Au Revoir Simone (Lark, A Violent Yet Flammable World) Part 4 and 9
Chromatics (Saturday) Part 12

>Meh
The Cactus Blossoms (Mississippi) Part 3
Sharon Van Etten (Tarifa) Part 6
Hudson Mohawke (Human) Part 9
James Hurley (Just You) Part 13
The Veils (Axolotl) Part 15
Eddie Vedder (Out of Sand) Part 16
Julee Cruise (The World Spins) Part 17

>Shit
Nine Inch Nails (She's Gone Away) Part 8
Rebekah Del Rio (No Stars) Part 10
Lissie (Wild West) Part 14

Ruth should've been the only performer

>just you not in god tier

Put The Veils and James Hurley in Good tier and you're spot on.

I really feel episode 18 ruined this season.

I think everything Frost and Lynch wanted to say was wrapped up beautifully in episode 17. Freddy kills Bob in the cheesiest way possible and Cooper goes back in time to save Laura. However, Judy has other things in mind and the episode ends with Cooper screwing up again and the Julee Cruise song that played the first time Cooper screwed up major (when he was in the Roadhouse looking for paranormal explanations while Maddie was getting raped and murdered by Uncle Leland).

To me that's a strong way to end the series.

Instead, Cooper screws up in episode 17 and then screws up again in episode 18. 18 completely undermines the previous episode and is a final act of indulgence on Lynch's part.

this is how i envision women who watch soapies even down to the green sofa.

Can you explain me why anons are saying Audrey was the arm all along?
We just saw her waking up in a different place, there is no implication she is the evolution of the arm or whatever.
When I saw the scene I thought Lynch finally remembered Audrey was in the bank explosion

Easily my favorite song of the season

The true theme of the Twin Peaks Televised Universe(c)(tm) coming through

youtube.com/watch?v=G_r-QkXJOp0

so what's the deal with the roadhouse?

were all the scenes bullshit or were some of them real?

In what way does he "screw up" in episode 18? His clear purpose is to 1) find Laura and 2) wake her up. He does both. Anything beyond that is speculation.

If your theory includes "The dreamer was [character from the show]" it can go directly to the trash

>not including FWWM

Who's the best male role model from The Return? I'd rank them:

1: Restored Cooper
2: Dougie
3: Carl
4: Gordon Cole
5: Bushnell

-1,000,000: Richard Horne

>Good
Audrey's Dance
>Shit
All the others

this

James and One Punch Chav appeared in the Roadhouse twice; their scenes must have been "real".

>were all the scenes bullshit or were some of them real?

The distinction between dream, hallucination and 'reality' is superfluous in the world of Twin Peaks.

Who the heck ever heard of diet lasagna?

Funny, I felt the complete opposite first time I watched it. I strongly disliked Part 17, and felt like Part 18 retroactively completely redeemed the ending for me.

To me Twin Peaks is not the whimsical schlock that Part 17 was, to me Twin Peaks is Lonely Souls, Fire Walk With Me, Beyond Life and Death.

Part 17 was fun but would have been a really really fucking awful way to end it.

>Au Revoir Simone and Just You not God tier
>Julee Cruise not shit tier

Part 17 up to and including the defeat of BOB is the normie ending. Everything after that is the patrician ending.

At night I'm driving in your car
Pretending that we'll leave this town
We're watching all the street lights fade
And now you're just a stranger's dream
I took your picture from the frame
And now you're nothing like you seem
Your shadow fell like last night's rain

:))

Bobe

They really look like a family, good casting.

>Can you explain me why anons are saying Audrey was the arm all along?
Is it the story of the little girl who lived down the lane? Is it?

+1 for bobe

that song was the moment for me where my brain realized >Oh shit motherfucker we're back in twin peaks

is that what angels look like?

I'm parking
Outside her home
And we're shaking hands
Goodnight, so politely

>Emma Stone with no frog DNA
oh my god

The dreamer is the lodge spirits collectively

>restored Cooper
no

If part 17 and 18 taught us anything, it's that Dale is not the hero we all thought he was. He's no role model.

What did he mean by this?

Aaaaaand let's just take another look with some light and focus...

jeez, i never thought about it that way. fwwm is a little "too" accurate ;_;

It meant, that didn't need it, he only wanted it

I want Bushnell to be my Grandpa :3

What was "it" though? What did he want?

the true patrician knows that the true story of twin peaks is the Douglas Jones arc

Yes, I know that for the majority of the series "Dougie" is actually Cooper. But let's set that aside, and look at the arc of the person who all characters refer to as Dougie Jones:

>starts out as a bad father
>gambles, racks up debt, cheats on his wife with hookers
>reverts to a childlike state
>despite his handicap, he improves the lives of everyone around him
>he wins back the love of his wife and son
>uncovers a criminal scheme and gets his coworker to change his life for the better
>gets his mind back, lives happily ever after with his family, having learned to live in the moment, how to treat others, and to be good to his family

Mr. C and Dale both failed. Only Dougie got the good ending.

>tfw they ended your story for a new Sheryl Lee character

Jesus H Christ

...

..still would

So when was the first time Lynch ever worked with Kyle? Dune?
I thought Lynch wanted every trace of that movie out of his life.

fucking angelo does it again

Watch episodes 17 and 18 simultaniously.

Why

kyle's hair was really qt in the dune/blue velvet days.

Part 18 was so fucking kino

Sheryl Lee is a wonderful and amazing lady!

> those trips
can someone please post a scene from blue velvet where u can see Kyle's magnum dong. asking for a friend.

to get intimate with harry

I want to live a long fulfilling life with her in Missoula!

is that the real reason she shot coop? because he was getting too close to her man?

This is a pure board, user. No lewds.

Unironically yes.

Took ole coop to pound town

Could it be Jim Carrey suffers from TM induced derealization? Talking about how there's no I and such? suggestability.org talks a lot about that and similar dangers of meditating.

Dougie Jones

That is a natural and fully understandable desire!

:3

>ywn be invited to a pajama party with Maddy

So Jim is in on too? How deep does that rabbit hole go?

Because duality is the theme of Twin Peaks, more so this season, and plebs thinks Lynch has made it so easy to figure everything out that you can just watch two episodes together, when really 17 and 18 have almost nothing in common.

The secrets lie in scenes like Coop crawling to electrocute himself, followed by the girl crawling through the Bang Bang Bar and screaming before the credits.

>Sup Forums theories are a David Lynch production
he's talking about flattening out contradiction in the theories, not in the show

>Twin Plugs

...

WORS THAT KILL

That might actually be true lol

: - )

WOAH HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

wait so because they both say the same line audrey IS the arm

lol that's pretty tenuous m8

...

>mfw she didnt wash her hands

this is a meme
sabrina sutherland confirmed in an AMA that Lynch never intended it to be watched like that

Also why would a guy like Lynch, who is extremely upset by the though of someone watching his work on anything but a giant TV, want you to watch two episodes at the same time

syncfags are so fucking dumb lol
