What are some designs you love despite being the very height of tackiness?
bonus points if its your penis that likes it so much

Black Cat's best look by far.

Ehh, she looks better with fur on the boob window and heels on the shoes.

Finally, a thread where I can dump all my Lady Spellbinder pics without feeling like I'm shit posting!

...

the actual rabbits from Bambi?

...

what happened to her?

I know right? She doesn't seem like she'd be into that, but she's a woman of eclectic tastes.

I'll grant you the heels but I actually like a bare chested woman better.

>bump

power girl is the poster-child for tacky outfits, i'm disappointing in y'all for not mentioning her sooner

what? her outfit is GOAT. the half-cape, color scheme, and gloves really tie together

...

>her outfit is GOAT
>exactly.com

user, the only reason she wasn't posted on this thread sooner is because people are used to seeing her so the're desensitized so we are used to The Sweet Sweet Tackyness

>bottom half of suit strategically shoes fitted to show those thicc thighs and ass and teases the mind by stopping just a few inches from showing her vagina
>that 100% unnecessary tit window that technically REALLY shouldn't be there for aerodynamic reasons (my dick ain't complaining tho)
>mfw the tackiness is actually JUSTIFIED in her story because of ''muh i don't know what symbol to put on my chest so until i find one imma just let y'all look at my tits''

Ah, the original Bikini Armor! A classic!

It was a simpler time.

Based freedom

Anything by Hirohiko Araki.

It's a solid look, it's really just lacking a strong central symbol

Yep. Even Baoh looks stupid in the best way possible.

lady death and purgatori

...

Nothing wrong with Lady Death's look. She's effectively an immortal goddess, she doesn't need to give a shit about the elements, protection or anything else. And the black on white is instantly recognizable and distinctive.

I wonder if Neil Gaiman ever raged a Lady Death?

...

The redesign I found to be rather abysmal. Sure the get up is far from reasonable, but nothing in Heavy Metal was.

Do aerodynamics matter when your tits are stronger than air pressure?

Death was a female in Marvel comics like 15 years before Gaiman started writing Sandman.

Sure, but Jim Starlin never threw a bitchfit about other people using Mistress Death or implying there were other manifestations of Death. Gaiman famously spazzed out at Cary Bates and Greg Weisman for using the Sandman Death in Captain Atom and saying she was one of many versions of the concept,as Gaiman was ADAMANT that goth girl Death was the one and only "true" Death.

Well Gaiman is a big silly goose.

Most of Dave Cockrum's Legion costume designs also apply.

...

Speaking of..

It's this wonderful meeting of Kirby and 90's aesthetics.

Cockrum and Grell were amazing costume designers.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. I love it a lot, but it is tacky. It's fetish wear with skull ornaments

How does she stay in that?

And her?

Unstable molecules.

This is so stupid. I hope we get to see this on Cavill.

its not really tacky its elegant in its simplicity. add some spikes and shoulder pads and it would be tacky

...

These are all just pointlessly slutty.

slutty is never pointless

...

The yellow t-shirt is just bad and not creative

Her series was cancelled and that particular version of the Guardians of the Galaxy future stopped getting referenced.

Technically she still shows up any time Starhawk does.

That's the literal point of the thread, user.

She showed up as Starhawk in DnA's GOTG, but it was in the full Starhawk regalia.

I don't see the Kirby in there.
Maybe the headpiece, but still ...it reminds me more of Gambit

Hah, remember when Chaos folded and they licensed Lady Death to some other company who tried to make her respectable? And how it flopped like crazy?

who even got the ip? next to nothing has been done with it and I dont know why dynamite didnt manage to get her when they got all the other chaos ips

...

I think Pulido still owns the rights and licenses her out to whoever is interested at the time.

They're strong women.

These two look so fucking stupid, yet
these two are amazing.

There's just something about 90's style "sexy" wear that looks gross and retarded to me. I wish I could figure out exactly what aspects cause this reaction.

...

it's just too in your face. maybe the angles, maybe the use of clothing that would be very bad for temperature regulation...not quite sure

...

huge feet. huge cock?

For some reason it only works when it's purple though.

Her latter outfit is GOAT too but that one is actually pretty practical while this just has a cool but implausible cape.

Only doesn't look ridiculous on the third panel. The other two look absurd.

Not in that skimpy thong

Not even being ironic. The Barbarella vibe that it gives off is the pinnacle of "why did they do it, and why do I like it?" It's so tacky and memorable that, if you think about Invisible Woman costumes, it's probably the second or third one you thought of right behind the original.

cause the black bikini ends up looking like its part of her striping. gotta be careful or you end up with the costume looking like its bare skin, like cheetah's crotchless leather pants here. Love this costume but the crotch pattern *really* needed to not match her skin.

also, dark blue and orange are simply a nice color pairing.

Because Sue has *had* maybe 2-3 costumes throughout her entire career.

Well, a bit more, but for decades the FF kept the same costume, the biggest change since the day's of Lee/Kirby was Byrne leeching the light-blue color out to make the costumes dark blue and white.

(in more recent memory, she had the sleeveless version of the classical costume, the future foundation white costume, the asymetrical 4-over-left-boob costume, and the short-lived red costume)

Literally perfect.

She's had closer to 8-10 noticably different costumes, when you consider all of the variants. Plus the movie outfits, which I feel should also be put into consideration as that's one of her most prominent moments in the character's history. There's certainly more than, say, or and, frankly, combined.

I'd definitely agree Sue has had more costumes than some, with the caveat that quite a few of her costume variants are very similar, where, say, Harley's two notable costumes are even in the same ballpark.

Stryfe's look is so over the top that it comes back around to being awesome. He looks like a ridiculous sci-fi FotNS character.

I'm debating in my head whether or not she's had more *distinct* costume variants than Hulk. I would lean towards "yes," but then again Hulk really picked up steam in costume switches in the past decade and a half.

You realize it's just Psylocke's costume in different colors, right?

I very much prefer male Cloud over female version

I've seen better tuck jobs.

What? Psylocke's outfit was a full one piece/leotard with nothing cut out, a sash and completely different gloves and boots. It looks nothing like Psylocke's outfit.

Why do you want softcore porn in your comics?

...

Bait

Why not?
There is a certain tackiness to a lot of the clothes in Jojo, but it's all so over the top and flamboyant it has a charm.

...

Oh jeez. I love Valentino's stint on GOTG but yeah, the amount of plunging cleavage is pretty excessive. I'm no SJW and can handle a bit but nearly every lady in the series has one. (Though to be fair Talon did too!)

I also recall that in Infinity Watch Gamora and Moondragon's costumes weren't changed much, but there were times when Moony might as well have been naked her costume was so negligible. The 90s were a different time.

Why the fuck has nobody posted this yet. Dude fucking wears a skin tight green suit with a purple cape, yellow gloves, two giant eyes on his chest and a fucking fish bowl as a helmet.

>but there were times when Moony might as well have been naked her costume was so negligible

To be fair, Moondragon always dressed as a slut, even from her very first appearance as an Iron Man villain called "Madame MacEvil". The 90s artists doing Infinity Watch only exaggerated her costume slightly. By contrast, in the 80s Defenders had tried to get her into more modest costumes, which was sort of negated when she died and came back to life.

...

Taarna and Red Sonja

Mysterio's costume should not work on any level, but it just fucking does. The cape-eyes and those weird forearm things really pull the whole thing together.

Pic related definitely deserves an honorable mention too. It's just strangely fitting for Zemo, the perfect blend of flamboyant arrogance with no self-awareness.

but he looks cool

...

The Mother-Pouch

It's 90's
It's edgy
and I love it

Yeah, I've always scoffed at his design but loved it at the same time. Wouldn't change a fucking thing even though he looks like a ping pong ball exiting a vagina.

Mysterio movie when?

Dem thighs, though.

Truly the goal of all life is death.

Mysterio is the only good design in this whole thread

Too advanced for movie audiences.

Given how few men wear Yellow, it serves as a decent shortcut, as long as we're not giving him a costume anymore.

Would you run around showing your belly, thighs or half your boobs if you were a superpowered woman?

Didn't think so,

>called "Madame MacEvil"

whut

With Kryptonian or Dr Manhattan level powers... and looking as good as they do

...why not

>With Kryptonian or Dr Manhattan level powers...

90% of capes don't have that, that's a shit excuse.
