For me, it's that car horn hey-look-out-you're-about-to-get-hit sound effect. It's such a bizarre horn sound. Last time I heard it, it was in Inception during the beginning of the rainy cityscape when the characters are running across the road.
I know of only one gas station that has this. I always thought it was some employee's text message alert.

I swear I saw some stupid movie about a killer gator (or croc, I don't remember) that would bellow like a bull. Even though crocodilians have plenty of incredibly intimidating vocalizations. Pissed me off to no end.
Also some some movie where fire, specifically a backdraft, used mountain lion roars. Don't remember what either of these films were though.
