Oh man, I'm stoked.

Hype

franco doesn't sound ilke tommy at all

Prosthetic chin?

He sounds like Greg imitating Tommy in The Disaster Artist (the book).

well i think the trailer showed a little bit to much but i liked

>the trailer showed a little bit to much
Like if you didn't knoe "the plot".

>James sounds nothing like Tommy in the first teaser trailer
>Suddenly sounds a lot more like Tommy
Do you think he dubbed all of his lines in post just so he could be more like Tommy,

I can't stop laughing

spot on

I think he does a pretty good job honestly. The voice is fine.

I think they'll go a bit too over the top, and Franco doesn't really look that close to him. But can you blame him? Tommy is uniquely fucked up looking. Like a half spoiled polish potato.

seth rogen is going to be the worst part of the movie isn't he? he's going to be the DUDE YOU'RE SO RETARDED LMAO character

this fucking shot. goddamn.

Him and Paul Sheer are basically that character, but the film focuses more on the relationship between Wiseau and Sestero.

Looks better than I expected.

On a side note why are the Disaster Artist shills so transparent?

is that Nathan Fielder as peter or whatever? nice

>manlet playing sestosterone

I love that Franco also got weirdly buff/otterbody for it.

Great trailer, now I'm having high hopes for this

this might be ok if not for dave fucking franco as greg.
>manlet
>annoying voice
>weird face
he's nothing like greg. Also Franco's impression is a bit too much

I hope this gets an Oscar nod. I want Tommy and Greg to be at the fucking Oscars.

oh hai oscar

Because we're not shills, it's nostalgia. The Room was a cult classic back in 2004. College kids made it into the new Rocky Horror Picture Show, seeing it multiple times in theaters and building a culture around it.

Like I said, transparent. Did you spend anytime on this board before you started? And you're always so pathetically defensive. Makes me think you're actually Franco.

He nailed what, he just suck, this movie is already worst than the room

Based Sup Forums introducing the concept of paid shills trying to influence the opinions of a couple hundred NEETS for some reason, and lowering the quality of discussion on the entire site. Not since >reddit has one meme been so prevalent.

Not as much as I nailed your mom.

This board user, they don want me.

...

he literally sounds retarded

tommy may sound weird but not retarded

Hi, Tommy!

is that nathan feilder?

Ewww Seth Rogen, I was very intrigued until then. Thought we might have gotten a good serious movie from Franco but better bring in some "comedy" relief from his chuckle fuck friend.

Pirate.

I've never seen The Room or heard Wisseau speak. Does he really talk like an actual retard?

Have any of you even SEEN a chicken?

Rogen isn't comedic relief, the entire film is a straight comedy.

James Franco is doing an impression of an impression. But Tommy sounds like a lightly sedated concussion victim

Looks to be /ourguy/!

>it spoiled the ending of the room which anyone interested in this movie has seen numerous times!

Yeah, that's all I had to see to know that this shit's going to be Sup Forums Certified Kino™

I saw it a TIFF a few days ago and I haven't even seen The Room in full, though I'm familiar with it.

>I can't tell that a comedy film is a comedy.

how much did you pay for that ticket? they were going for like $200.

is it just me or does synthwave music make your dick soft?

And that's too bad. Looks like it's gonna be all poking fun at Tommy without any of the heart the book had that tied all the funny moments together.

Got it for free from a friend who's a member.

seth rogen is so painfully unfunny jesus christ

I thought it was a little more mocking of Tommy than most of the other reviews I've read, but it definitely had heart and wasn't a hit job or anything. Wiseau said he approves of the movie 99.9%.

gb2 your coffin, Tommy

Sounds like /comfycore/.

Oh boy, can't wait for every normalfag to rave about The Room for 2-3 months

Also whats with the faux-80's music in the trailer?

>dude, what if we, like, made a movie about two retards who, like, made a movie
>DUDE
really nigga

dig up peter steele's body and have him play tommy

why didn't they go meta and have Tommy play himself?

>tommy is a retard
>still has millions more dollars than you
really activates the ol' almonds

>Also whats with the faux-80's music in the trailer?

Sounds pretty modern to me. Better than the usual "THIS IS GONNA BE THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE"

Sup Forums didn't invent the concept of paid shills.

>even Alison Brie is in it
Jesus it's just a fucking scheme to get the entire Franco family and friends paid.

2017 IS HALF WAY OVER AND I'M ALREADY CUMMING

Future Oscar best picture GOAT all time baby, all time

youtube.com/watch?v=1fqAFCb4-ec

I had no idea he shot this commercial.

I really fucking hate Seth Rogen. Apparently he blew off the guy who he's playing in the movie. That's my first issue.

My second issue is that Dave Franco is such a manlet. It's supposed to be about a hot, young, tall guy and his weird, rich blobfish of a friend. When you make the blobfish taller than the hot guy, this totally changes the dynamic you find in the book.

That said it looks like the attention to detail is there. Tommy and his friendship with Greg is so compelling in the book. I'm pretty optimistic it'll hit the high notes from the book.

Lost it

>A24
>That cast
>Approved by Tommy and Greg

Will this be /our movie/?

that his own store I think

At TIFF, Tommy said they got 99.9% of the events correct.

Kino fucking confirmed.

This picture is part of the history of cinema.

They really should have cast Rufus Sewell as Tommy.
But Franco wants his Oscar too badly.

He says they got the lighting wrong though. Franco is a hack.

I think it's weird how he drops the accent a lot

no joke, he was jealous that greg was in the screen actor's guild and was told that he couldn't get in without an acting credit, so he shot these commercials to apply

>>>

He changed his mind and said the .1% was how Franco throws the football.

Aside from both Francos, the actors for Denny and Peter look really good. Even Zach Efron as Chris R looks great from the shot we see him in. 10/10 casting choices desu.

huh. I was expecting something close to the level of shit as the real thing. That wasn't "awful"

Without knowing the backstory this movie will make zero sense to A LOT of people, so, that might be an issue.

...and I hate the Francos and Rogan

It will be on netflix two months after it is in theaters, I'll watch it then

This.
