Have they given a satisfactory explanation of that "3 Jokers" bullshit...

Have they given a satisfactory explanation of that "3 Jokers" bullshit? Why the fuck couldn't have the answer to "Whats the Joker's real name?" just been "The Joker"

They are still trying to figure all that out it seems, it's like they made this announcement but had no idea how they would pull it off.

No. They may never. It was just a way to retcon Snyder's terrible Joker.

Johns came up with the idea then he run away to make movies and leaving the people behind having to deal with it

Blame Geoff Johns.
He wanted his shitty JL run to remembered for something at least. So he came up with the Three jokers and put Watchmen

Some one please think of a way to retcon "3 Jokers" into "Its just one, and his name is The Goddamned Joker"

Snyder's Joker is still canon though and one of the three Joker. And despite co's hate boned or him, he was popular (unlike Nu52 Superman).

Exactly why they did this. So hed still exist for the casuals but also so he wasnt the Joker that long time readers liked.

I'd accept

>Snyder/Morrison Joker
>70s' big jaw joker
>Silver Age Joker

It supposedly will be covered after the current arc, although they haven't mentioned them in a while

3 Jokers...

>Caesar Romero
>Jack Nicholson
>Heath Ledger

Should it have been 4 Jokers since Jared Leto's now portrayed the Joker?

Nigga that's already been confirmed

I'm sure they will say that the Watchmen made three Jokers to keep Batman distracted from investigating them too deeply.

Why do people dislike Snyder's Joker other than for the meme of hating Snyder?

because he is physically ugly and lacks subtlety and humor.

>Darrrllllllinnnnggg

And that story arc should be written and drawn by Neal Adams.

Movies and Cartoons are separate earths from the comics, none of those would belong.

Also, you have to pay for/get permission for the use of those likenesses in each issue.

What the fuck is Dr Blueballs doing on Mars after all this time and how many Martian ruins has he visited?

Morrison's would do that kind of shit too.

>hating on Miller's Joker

The difference was Morrisons Batman thought that shit was retarded and Snyder's Batman indulged him

To be fair, Batman asked the chair what the Joker's real name was. The chair said there were three. As in 3 real names. That's the bullshit they'll pull.

It'll be Joker
Joseph Kerr which is what he calls himself whenever he's sane
And his birthname which will never be revealed.

It's going to be one big letdown.

I think it's Golden Age Joker, Killing Joke Joker, and New 52 Joker.

It might be something stupid like the Joker Batman imagines, the Joker that exists, and the Joker that the Joker thinks he is.

Why didn't Batman just keep on asking the magic chair followup questions about this topic until it gave him an actual explanation? Having a chair that knows everything and still not learning anything from it beyond "there are three" doesn't make any sense.

Pre-Crisis
Post-Crisis
Post-FP

that's miller's joker, and he's perfect, you dingus.

Its actually

> Golden Age Joker
> Silver Age-modern Joker
> Nu52 Joker

They're going to add Suicide Squad Joker from the movie too. Mmm, DC, with four jokers. Love it.

Honestly, I think the idea of multiple Jokers existing is totally reasonable/not a bad idea at all. But without clarification of which Joker did what or any origin for ANY of them or any further explanation it's total garbage.

Forget it Jake, It's Gotham.

Go back to Sup Forums

Did you even read the comic?

I really find it hard to believe someone like Bruce wouldn't have just immediately asked the chair about this instead of stewing on it after the fact.

>flashbacks to the straight up porn drawings Bruce Timm made of Harley and The Joker
I wonder which one of the three fucked Harley.
Or was it all three?

>hard to believe someone like Bruce wouldn't have just immediately asked the chair

It's impossible to believe, even for a random non-superhero with a lower than average IQ. I have no idea why the writer thought this was at all plausible.

>Chair: There are three.
>Batman: Huh, I'll have to figure that out.
>Chair: No Batman, I'm a magic chair that literally knows everything, I can just answer every conceivable question about it right n-
>Batman: Yup, gonna have to figure that out...

>Johns

I think it was because Batman couldn't connect very well with the chair so he had only limited access or "didn't know how to use it"

Owlman says something like that after taking the chair

probably none of them

Pregnancy tests in Arkhamverse.
Injustice Year One, Harley tells Black Canary that she and Joker had a baby.
BTAS and all that shit that went past the radar for a kids show.
GCS, Harley tells Ivy they have sex and he's rough when they do.

Matpat theorizes that Leto portrays the same joker as nicholson.

...

It's canon.

It annoys the shit out of me that the 3 Jokers were Jerry Robinson's, Brian Bolland's and Snyder's when Snyder's Joker was boring and generic as fuck and offered nothing new or interesting to the character. Arrogant cunt. Should have been Ledger, Morrison's Arkham Joker, or Morrison's Thin White Duke.

No, they haven't even started to explain it yet. It's setting up a future storyline.

Why do you people think they just shoved it in there and are now scrambling to come up with an explanation? Johns is well known for seeding stories years ahead of time.

Give it some fucking time.

>Matpat
Fuck off.

Nah, the sooner they purge Morrison's trash out of DC the sooner it can go back at being good again

Fuck you.

matpat came up with the three jokers.

>Should it have been 4 Jokers since Jared Leto's now portrayed the Joker?

Did he? When? He was some kind of autistic gangster doing a bad impression of Jim Carrey's Riddler in Suicide Squad, but I don't recall him playing the Joker.

The Joker has always had an element of ugliness and horror, though I'll grant that Snyder's Joker maybe goes too far in that direction.

Punch is going to be one of the Jokers

Can someone please answer this? I didn't read that JL arc, so why didn't Batman just get the chair to explain what it meant and who these three Jokers are?

After Ledger's performance and Harley's rise in popularity, the Joker has become something of a sex symbol. The trendy undercut hair is also a large part of the problem.

>Honestly, I think the idea of multiple Jokers existing is totally reasonable/not a bad idea at all.

It's good of you to let us know your opinion can be disregarded.

He could connect well enough to ask the Joker question and get an answer, but not well enough to ask follow-ups?

Complete bullshit.

Well, the idea could be intriguing is handled well. Joker has been so inconsistently written that it might work... were he also not such a well-defined character and Batman's nemesis.

With shit taste like that you'll probably be more at home on reddit. Off you go!

No, you move.

He's completely insane. You don't need convoluted storylines and cosmic bullshit to explain why an insane person acts inconsistently.

Punch and Jewlee are a superior Harley and Joker

Johns didn't bother to explain or address it.

They need to make Joker the ambassador for a Muslim country again.

Joker could join ISIS.

Nois not, at least not better than three luthors in the same earth. It's a dumb idea by a writer that doesn't give a shit about batman but wanted to leave some mark on the character. Johns came out with a bunch of dumb ideas and he still don't know what he is gonna do with them, it's new52 all over again, notice how the characters that Johns like are allowed to go back to their status quo and the ones he doesn't give a fuck are still fucked.

I could see him doing it because he thinks it would be funny, though I imagine he'd end up killing them because that would also be funny.

He should be ambassador for Mexico.

Johns, for some reason, likes how Harley and Joker are in the SS movie.

Theory: Each Joker is from a different universe. They all fell through a breach and ended up on Earth-0.

Silver age prank-loving supervillain Joker is from Earth-36 (the one based on Big Bang Comics). He was the nemesis of the Iron Knight.

Golden age hardcore gangster Joker is from Earth-35 (the one based on Awesome Comics). He was the nemesis of the Owl.

Modern grimdark psychopath Joker is from Earth-41 (the one based on Image Comics). He was the nemesis of the Owl.

...

>Whats the Joker's real name?" just been "The Joker"
Or give him the 3 fucking names oh mighty fuckin chair. ,maybe batteries were low.

So what was Alan Moore's Laughing Fish Joker?

>My plan is I have toxic blood and super sharp fingernails that deliver it like a snake bite

Overall Morrison's run was rad, but some of it sucked. Like this.

Gimme more Pyg.

Fuck, now I want a whole Joker League. And a Batman League to go with.

Think about it. A Justice League comprised of nothing but multiversal Batmans. Why hasn't DC jumped on this yet?

>Joker has been so inconsistently written that it might work
Morrison already addressed this with hypersanity back in the 80s.

Didn't Steve Englehart write the Laughing Fish story?

Anyway, the Joker killed a bunch of people for basically no reason in that story, so it was probably the psychopath one.

...oh, god. I mixed up the writers of Laughing Fish and Killing Joke. My bad.

The point I was trying to make, though, is who was late 70's-80's Joker? The one DCAU Joker was based on?

But Jim Carrey's Riddler was Joker in a Riddler costume.

I think even within that era, it varies from one story to another.

The Joker who crippled Batgirl and murdered Robin was the Golden Age gangster one. He's the one who really hates Batman, specifically.

But the Joker from his own self-titled series, which was also in the 70's, was the Silver Age playful criminal one. Joker didn't kill anyone in that series, he mostly just played pranks on people.

Basically, if he's mostly non-violent and trying to steal money or just troll people, it's Joker 1.

If he's intelligent and vindictive and more cruel than outright insane, it's Joker 2.

If he doesn't seem to have any goal and is just murdering people for the hell of it, without any rhyme or reason, it's Joker 3.

>he doesnt know about frank gorshin

ok dude leave this conversation

I think thet part where we think it's stupid is that Bruce realistically should have just asked the goddamn chair instead

and the shit about Bruce not connecting to the chair or whatever the fuck or not knowing how it works is complete and utter bullshit when that's how he found out about the multiple Jokers in the first goddamn place

We all know they stretched it out on purpose. The problem is there's no reason it should have been.

>Johns is well known for seeding stories years ahead of time.

And those never pay off, remember when idiots like you said the same about trinity war, darkseid war and his jl book?

There's a lot of retarded shit going on post New 52 but very little of it is because of Morrison. Multiversity was pretty great.

I hate to say it, but the "really three different guys" thing worked out for Red Skull...

Multiple people using the Joker identity makes a lot more sense than having multiple Lexs

Are you serious?

Multiverses make my head spin.

What was that 'God of Laughter' shit in Darkseid War? It's been a while since I last read it, is that still a viable explanation?

>hypersanity

Lmfao

joker is hella gay

All three at once.

Harley was very very happy for a while.

Yes, Johns is an absolute jackass

>hfw Joker gangbang

At least it solves most of the "Y U NO KIL JOKUR???" problem.

Someone needs to tell Harley that cosplay is not consent.

I'm still surprised there was no SJW outrage over that comic.

because its ok when women do it

It was a one-shot. They probably didn't even know it got published. It was also published two years ago, and I think the SJW virture signaling over Harley took a major blow due to Suicide Squad making her a more mainstream character.
