ShIT

Am I missing something here?
This movie is awful, it's on of the worst movies I have ever seen. All my friends and coworkers who watched it also think that it's shit (some of them even left the theater halfway through the movie because how bored they were).

YET

everywhere I go online, people are praising it and calling it the best horror movie ever.

What's going on?

You and your social group have a shit taste

I almost walked out when the weird looking ginger was introduced.

>getting bored during movies

It's legitimately terrifying and great. Sounds like you and your friends just don't get it.

>It's legitimately terrifying and great.

>It's legitimately terrifying and great
Maybe if you were 9.

>Am I missing something here?

yes. your brain.

gods that dog is so sexy. i want to frenchkiss that sexy snout. that dog is legitimately sexy and hot.

Despite the metric fuck ton of jump scares it wasnt really a frightening movie for the most part.
Pennywise was really only terryfing in his very first scene with Georgie. The only scares that worked were the ones when Pennywise was the painting lady because it was the only straight up scary thing in the whole movie.
The projector scene was alright, not because of the heavily telegraphed jump but because it was really unexpected that he would attack them as a fucking giant.
The Deadlights were great as well but thats not much of a scary moment either and i dont think it was really supposed to be.
So despite its shortcomings in the terror and fear department it excelled as an adventure movie starring kids fighting a monster.

Because you haven't seen the movie and your 'friends' don't exist

nice anti-shill thread
the movie was awesome

DUDE LOOK HOW COOL I AM FOR DISLIKING SOMETHING A LOT OF PEOPLE LIKE LMAO

>Am I missing something here?

good taste.

Why does this entire post feel extremely artificial?

>friends
Liar.
>coworkers
Liar.

>Am I missing something here?

Yeah. You're supposed to say it's "scary as hell", give it 8.9/10 on IMBD and recommend it to everyone.

Is it at least better than annabelle creation?

Do you guys ever wish this board was actually about film/tv discussion and not just a bunch of 12 year olds trying to out-contrarian one another?

It a good movie and everyone I know likes it. You're probably a shill m8.

It's because people don't watch horror for complex storytelling. Just for cheap jumpscares and shit acting. so it's a 11/10 shitflick for 'having a good time cucks and normies'.

>People who criticize the clown for being inefficient

Do you not get it? He's an evil supernatural entity that feeds off fear and weakness, he's literally the physical manifestation of evil. He can easily torment and tear these people to pieces at any time but he's juicing them up so they can nurish him more when he devours them. He's actually pretty lethal if pushed into a corner and he needs to lash out violently, as evidence by him maiming all those kids and almost instantly killing them but getting distracted by another one hitting him or something.

10/10 acting
0/10 cgi
2/10 editing

fell pretty flat imho, Bowers two bully scenes were the most intense parts of the flick

look how cool you are for being part of the mass culture of mongoloids that wouldn't know a good film if it bit you in the ass, IT was a cheap cgi slasher, stop acting like this flick is the second coming of christ.

IT is an embarrassing trashpile

>OK responding to Itself
Is there anything more pathetic?

I thought this was a good board.

yeah phoneposting is pretty pathetic

It is not the second coming of christ. It's decent for a Goonies-type movie. Counter-culture is also inherently shit.

>leaving halfway through a movie in this day and age of ticket prices

How to spot a brainlet.

As opposed to turning your PC on, getting it setup and drinking MTN DEW while you wait for all the updates before you can shitpost?

Meanwhile all I had to do was look down at my phone and call you a cunt.

>experiencing something you absolutely hate just because you already spent money on it

You're a genius

Just watched annabelle and it looks way more solid than this crap

Comparing that pile of shit with The Goonies. Lol this shit will be forgotten in a year.

Literally every scene you mentioned is on youtube. Why comment about something you haven't even seen?

Shills, shills everywhere

I actually really liked it. It was almost as good as the Dark Tower film that was released earlier this year

It will not, it's tremendously popular and already ready for a sequel. And you will probably be butthurt about it. But no worries, you still have your buzzwords you can always spew out when your contrarian rhetoric doesn't work.

ebin

>IT was a cheap cgi slasher

Literally the exact opposite of the film.

The whole movie was practically based around the characters and their interactions with eachother. The whole movie was carried solely on the abilities of the actors which is the complete opposite of a "CGI slasher". The monster itself took up almost no screentime in terms of the length of the movie. What you've described is complete nonsense and I doubt you even saw it.

>film
lol

>retard
lol

One problem I had is most of the kids were really underdeveloped. Only Richie (the kid from Stranger Things) and Bev really stood out. The older film did a better job setting up the kids and their relationships/interactions. I felt some of the more horror stuff felt a little tacked on and actually the movie might have been stronger if it was PG-13 and focused less on scares and more on childhood adventures.

>group of scared kids
>they wander off one by one conveniently
>don't go in there
>get slashed in poor cgi quick zoom
well you kids got your generational horror flick, enjoy it, because it's just like the rest of the crap out there today and oh yeah it's a remake what's new lmfao

>weird looking ginger
*blocks your path*

Ben and Bill easily had the most on-screen development and the mini-series didn't bother to flesh out any of the losers club. I doubt you even watched the movie.

read a fucking book

They might have had more screentime but they were still boring characters who were just sort of there and didn't really stand out in any meaningful way to me.

>telling someone in Sup Forums to read a book

What did he mean by this?

It is a very scary movie. From the moment the movie started I kept getting scared and each passing minute of the two hour running time I got scareder and more scareder.
I haven't slept for a week in fear that Pennywise, the most mental and scariest monster I have ever seen will take me. I am scared right now you guys. Really scared. Don't see this new IT movie, it is THAT scary.

Also I thought the end of the original (part 1) with the silver bullets and inhaler "battery acid" was better than the kids just beating the shit out of Pennywise with pipes and the Anton Chigurh gun.

All of the losers in the mini-series were interchangeable with nothing to set them apart aside from physical differences. The newer film did a much better job of explaining their fears.

>it's on of the worst movies I have ever seen.
then you haven't seen many movies, so you'll fit right in.

the movie is out for download i hope someone can make screencaps and webms of sophia lillis

Dude... wait for 1080 or higher quality webms from a blu-ray.

>I have never seen the miniseries
Bill-Georgies death and parents absent
Ben-New kid, haunted by dead father and clowns and Bowers
Bev-overly protective father/sink blood
Eddie-literally perfect in miniseries
Richie-fear of the Wearwolf, Seth Green was good and you know it
Stan-outsider and you'd know it if you read the book

>everywhere I go online, people are praising it and calling it the best horror movie ever.

Welcome to the modern day of saying shit to garner praise from other social idiots. On the flipside there's the people who hate things just because others like it. In the end, why do you care about their opinions?

You finally grew out of horror. Congrats on turning 20.

i will be ok with those scenes in that quality for start

...

How did they get away with sexualizing her?

Why was she bullied by that ugly chick when she was the prettiest girl in school? Why did she look so much older than the boys?

She probably was older than the boys

hollywood has been in the business of sexualizing kids for decades. their lawyers got this all figured out down to a science

Context, most of the time.

Movie is set in the 80s so nobody used to care

>no sideboob or nipple visible
into the trash

They are trying to normalize pedophilia

Wow, you sure showed him by repeating his statement. It really makes me feel differently about the film now.

Why should such a dumb statement be met with anything but brushing it off?

2017 was the year Warner convinced people to like their shitty movies

Disney had their time

How is it pedophilia? Unless you, as an adult man or woman gets turned on by children scenes.

They tried sexualizing children and giving them sexual tendencies at the age of 10 or whatever. You don't have to be attracted to see what they were doing. Nice try

Brushing it off would mean that you ignore it instead of giving it attention.

I like it, but didn't really view it as a horror movie. It's a coming-of-age adventure movie. Knew enough to not walk in expecting to be scared.

You and your imaginary friends are contrarian kikes

not him but how would that guy know how dumb it was otherwise

>All my friends
Anyone who posts on Sup Forums doesn't have friends. Proof this story is fake.

Are you saying you weren't sexually curious at the age of 10? I think its a pretty natural scene.

Dont trust reviews m8. Its 2017 every """reviewer""" is bought and paid for. I caught onto this fact after getting fooled time and again into watching the latest marvel capeshit, like back in 2013.

I think they're supposed to be like 14 or so. Realistically, you think kids aren't at least curious at 14?

A child being sexually curious is different to an adult being horny. They portrayed them as horny adults

They gave them adult tendencies and personas to normalize pedophilia. Stephen King is a closet pedophile and the (((directors))) in hollywood are no different. Why else do they glorify his shit books? Is it so out of the question that they would use their power in selfish ways?

>Implying you didn't make dick jokes and stare at the more developed girls when you were the same age as these kids
Fag

on reflection i never did until i was exposed to adult content and pornography. that is not the natural behavior of a child. it's their behavior when they are fucked up by a decadent society

This. PC posting is pleb tier .

I cant tell if you are stupid or wilfully ignorant but i will spell it out for you. They want us to think that children think and have sexual urges like adults and can therefore consent to sex like adults.

They are normalizing pedophilia. We are in the beginning stages. Wait for it to ramp up in 5 - 10 years and remember my words when it happens to your child

Well surely your singular experience defines an entire species.

Neck yourself, puritan weirdo.

Are you on the spectrum?

Me and all of my classmates girls and boys were extremely horny when we were 13, fapping together to naughty sites and doing all sorts of cringy kid stuff. Amerifats are so fucking puritan it makes me legit mad if you think there was anything wrong with the boys having naughty thoughts about Beverly.
What I agree on as a but weird is how she flirted with the drugstore guy but it is actually very real and I know 15yo girls flirt with adults all the time at keast when I was back in high school.

>attacks my personal experiences with a false projection
>defend myself
>hurrr you are only relying on personal experience!

Do you have brain problems?

I'm 28 and had internet before I was a teen and already looking up fully developed naked women on AOL dial-up.
Girls my age didn't have shit on internet babes.

>Well surely your singular experience defines an entire species.

Can confirm I had a similar experience starting at the age of 10. Well, it all started with innocent games like playing doctor, next thing you know you're jerking of with your friends because they found a dirty magazine. Children aren't so innocent as you think they are.

I haven't seen it but I'm getting a manchild flick vibe from it.

I've seen the original when I was in elemtary school and I thought it was ok.
But then at that age I thought most of shit I saw were ok.

I find it funny that you dismissed him as a 'puritan'. You are implying that these situations aren't 'pure' but possibly dirty. Why should we encourage our children to do things that we consider 'not pure'? A child also chucks tantrums when they don't get what they want. Should we encourage them to do so because it's 'natural'?

As far as modern horror movies goes, I suppose it's okay. But it's still modern horror, i.e. jumpscares, shaky cam, loud noises. Probably not even worth watching not in a theater.

Richie was literally just comedic relief, he had no fucking character development you utter fucking aut

>our children
>Sup Forums

>read a Stephen King book

disgusting

I noticed everybody praising it, so I decided to go to the cinema to check it out.

Boring as fuck movie. Felt like The Little Rascals meet some not scary clown.

Honestly, the clown would've been more scary if he had a fucking flower that shot water in their eyes.

Terrible flick.
