Don't let nostalgia cloud your judgement, GoldenEye isn't very good. It's objectively dull and feels incomplete

Don't let nostalgia cloud your judgement, GoldenEye isn't very good. It's objectively dull and feels incomplete.

The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day are awful.

Tomorrow Never Dies is pure 90s fun. Brosnan's only good outing as 007.

Why did his tenure as Bond go so bad?

>bait

You can say that about bond movies in general.

>objectively dull
Wrong
I agree that TND is great though and severely underrated. We could almost be friends user..
But at their core I think his next two films were poorly directed more than anything, especially The World Is Not Enough because it has terrible pacing.

Goldeneye and Tomorrow are the only good bond films

Die Another Day was the only bad Brosnan film because it's a CGI shitfest.

Goldeneye is brilliant
TND and TWINE are ridiculously underrated
DAD is bad but there a much worse Bond movies, Spectre and QoS for example

16 minutes before the fucking theme song and credits

GoldenEye vidya is still pretty fun to mess around in sometimes though.

...

goldeneye n64 was kino.
fuck you.

What's the most Lovecraftian Bond film?

THANK YOU

Tomorrow Never Dies is a 9/10 Bond movie.

Goldeneye is great too tho.

The World Is not Enough or MoonRaker comes to mind.

Dalton is best Bond
GoldenEye was written when he was still contracted to star
Literally had the makings for the ultimate Bond film until he was replaced by Little Irish Bitch

...

Anyone knows why Bond movies have these super edgy borderline retarded titles that have nothing to do with the film which is most of the time pure shlock. It's only the last two that were decent films. All the others are just embarrassingly bad

Well?

>Tomorrow Never Dies is pure 90s fun.
It has some ridiculous over the top characters, the Dr Kaufman actor who is totally hamming it up with that accent. Jonathan Pryce loving playin the bad guy and the german blonde guy leering off laughable lines like "I owe you an unpleasent death, Mr Bond." You cant help but chuckle at that.
The action is cool, the setpieces are great, but Michelle Yeoh was objectively awfull in this. She's good in Crouching Tiger and Sunshine, but jesus she's so flat and dull in this.

It's just so dumb, but with so much sincerity I just cant dislike it, I actually like it alot.

It helps that Tomorrow Never Dies has one of the best Bond scores ever made.
>inb4 Thomas Newmans soulless Bourne ripoffs.

But Goldeney is a objectively better movie.

...

The Dalton Goldeneye would've been fucking terrible. It was about evil robots or something. It was given a page one rewrite once Brosnan took over.

stealthily pounded

Dalton got screwed by the worst scripts. Could have been top tier Bond otherwise. Also here's some weirdly awesome prebond Brosnankino

God damn he looked like a model

I thought License to Kill had a pretty good script and villain, Living Daylights on the other hand is kind of a clusterfuck of weird ideas.

Bronson fucks a fat bitch
>Based

Tomorrow Never Dies and Golden Eye are both great.

The other two are very bad.

Pierced the Buns of

qtest bond villain of the era worst villain

But wasn't her AND that dude that couldn't feel because of a bullet in his brain? I can't even remember which one of the two they were in. I think he pretended to be a nuclear scientist and there was skiing and a fight in a sub.

The other one had a giant space laser and the dude with diamonds in his face.

Silently Scoped burger nips

...

It so depressing that bond is white, isn't it?

Soon!

yeah i was shocked how awful goldeneye was when i rewatched it recently. I watch alot of 80s 90s movies and most of them hold up great goldeneye has aged terribly though very corny

Help Pierce save his wife

I rewatched Goldeneye a few months ago and it was still great.

Same for DAD, this movie is literally jekyll and hyde, first half is plenty decent while the second is just an ugly mess. You can tell just by putting the two swordfights next to each other.

name a james bond movie that isnt dated.

>Why did his tenure as Bond go so bad?
The 90s ended.

...

>Sup Forums-fags instantly join in to defend Goldenshit because of the terrible videogame

everytime

Whenever I see him and his wife I think of Jonny and Ginny Sack

>being this contrarian

imagine if goldeneye existed as it was but bond was played by dalton and alec was played by brosnan

in the same way that bond was betrayed by alec the movies audience, who wanted him to be bond in 1986, would feel betrayed by brosnans character for being the villain

>very corny
All Bond movies are corny to varying degrees, that's what makes them fun. Give me corny over po-faced any day.

Everything or nothing was great you simpering fucking fag

its great as a video game
the song was pretty kino too

Tomorrow Never Dies is a great take on FAKE NEWS.
It's really ones of the bond films with the most plausible plot.

You Brosnan Whoppered my sister?

You peirce whopped my sister sounds better.

But TND has one of the worst villains. And Teri Hatcher.

I still think TND has the best opening sequence of any Bond film.
>ask the admiral where he'd like his bombs delivered

fucking based

>Goldfinger - the villain's name
>Man with the Golden Gun - villain has a golden gun
>On Her Majesty's Secret Service - Self-explanatory
>License to Kill - ditto

>Sup Forums-fags instantly join in to defend Goldenshit
OK, typical contrarian...

>terrible videogame
Haha, what?
