Why are the Friday the 13th movies as a whole better than the Halloween or Nightmare on Elm Street or Hellraiser fims? Even when they're bad, they're still entertaining.

I'm gonna have to ask you to log off your computer. They're all mostly garbage. F13 is the McDonald's of horror, ya bozo. Halloween's sequels are damn near the same fucking thing as F13. Why are you comparing F13 and Hellraiser, too? Hellraiser isn't even a slasher.

>F13 is the McDonald's of horror
That's why I love it.

I like Jason X the best, just because of how it really incorporates lovecraftian-esque imagery really well

After every film in all four franchises, I have to say I enjoyed the Ft13 movies the most overall.

Halloween 1 and 3 are great, 2 and 4 are meh, and most of the later sequels are even worse than the worst F13 movie (5, 6, Resurrection, and both Rob Zombie movies are fucking awful).

Nightmare on Elm Street has 2 good movies (1 and 3) and the rest are hot garbage. New Nightmare was okish, but it felt like Wes Craven sucking his own dick like he did in Scream.

Hellraiser is included because it's another "classic" horror series, but again, there are only two good movies in the main series. The Silent Hill type movie with the crooked cop was pretty good, but it had hardly anything to do with the cenobites/puzzle box.

Friday the 13th has 4 really decent movies (1, 2, 4, and 6), 4 entertaining schlock fests (3, 7, 10, and the remake), and a few turds (5, 8, 9, F vs. J).

>Nighthtmare on Elm Street has 2 good movies
wew

lol every single Friday13 is the same goddamn movie

I'm serious, Freddy goes from a creepy, sadistic pervert to some faggot right after the 3rd movie. Couple that with an assload of unnecessary mythology shoveled in and a drought of actual kills and the only things you're left with in the later sequels is Freddy making bad jokes.

Love the hate for Nightmare 2. Literally GOAT score and it marks the last time til New Nightmare that Freddy came off as scary.

I like the one made by the porn director

>Nightmare on Elm Street has 2 good movies (1 and 3) and the rest are hot garbage.
I think 2 is kind of underrated. Freddy is legit scary looking in that movie. Probably his best make-up job. And 4 is basically a retread of 3, but it's still quite good imo.

Forgot about 2 honestly, it didn't even feel like the rest of the series when I watched it. It was alright, the scariest stuff was the homo shit though.

Finally someone agrees. 2 is severely underrated.
1 > 2 > 3 > New Nightmare > 4 > the rest

Yeah Jesse is a faggot.

Yeah it's odd but probably the only horror where a guy plays a traditional girls role.

how did he got laid at the end?

>get to New york
>2 minutes in
>get mugged and raped
non american here, how accurate was this?

1980's? Pretty accurate

Her robo dancing is hypnotic. Catchy song too.

Remake > X > Freddy VS Jason > Hell > 8 > 1 > 3 > 5 > 2 > 7 > 6 > 4

100% accurate.

I will never understand the love for this girl, I remember reading something about how she had a cooler death but it was changed.
I liked the titty monster of this movie tho.

F13 having just a few turds? I don't agree. The first 1 is a boring rip off of both Halloween and Black Christmas. 2 and the rest of them are almost the same thing at its very core.

To be honest, I like Hellraiser more because it differentiates itself every time. It's not perfect by any means, but at least it attempts to stray away from the same old shit, which is what F13 is. I mean, you occasionally get something, like, "Jason is a slug now" or whatever. Yet it still manages to be so samey that it's just painful to watch.

I just finished the jason movies and what are does Sup Forums think of halloween movies? still worth watching?

>I remember reading something about how she had a cooler death but it was changed.

The MPAA raped every single Friday movie. Jason cut her from the cunt up.

Now this is accurate.

1, 2, and 3 are worth watching. The rest are pointless.

From best to worst:

4 - 6 - 2 - 3 - 1 - 7 - 8 - Hell - X - FvJ - Remake

>The first 1 is a boring rip off of both Halloween and Black Christmas

Halloween is a rip off of Black Christmas. So what?

How about
Elm Street 1, 2, 3 and 4 then New Nightmare then Never Sleep Again

The sameness is part of the fun for me. In fact, the worst F13 movies are the ones where they try to do things radically different. Gruesomely murdering stupid, horny teens in the woods never gets old as long as it's done well.

It ripped off a rip off. It's garbage. There's an entire scene dedicated to Alice making coffee. The whole process. It's garbage.

1 - 5 are worth watching. 3 is a stand alone movie that has nothing to do with Michael Myers, but is a solid 80's horror movie.

it's says here you didn't saw the hatchet movies, mind explaining?

Never even heard of them.

Now you know about them, go and watch them

I've seen all 3. Really made me wish Adam Green had done the Friday remake. Maybe then he wouldn't have gone full retard with Digging Up the Marrow

Which Friday the 13th has Lovecraftian themes?

explain me this meme

Didn't Freddy vs Jason make a lot of money at the box office? I always wanted more of those types of vs movies. Michael Myers vs Jason, Freddy vs Chucky, the Creeper vs Rawhead Rex, etc.

Would be fun as hell and probably not even cost a whole lot to make aside from gaining the rights to the various franchises.

Probably just some retard trying to generate hate for the word "Lovecraftian".

Rawhead Rex needs a remake, probably one of the few 80s horror movies that would actual benefit from the remake treatment.

Also, I don't like Vs. movies because they're even more corny than their individual parts. A Rawhead Rex vs. Pumpkinhead movie would be fucking sweet though

dead by daylight got leatherface as a playable killer

We can all agree Jason X is the worst.

thoughts on rob zombie movies?

Beyond shit, when I saw the first one in theaters I nearly walked out.

Jason X isn't nearly the worst. 9, 8, and 5 are utter shit.

I agree about a remake for Rawhead Rex. Especially now that a r-rated horror movie is out and making tons of money; haven't even seen It yet just sick of the constant, shitty pg-13 ghost horror flicks these days.

It was a shit movie, but Rawhead had an intensity to it. Rawhead eating the kid and pissing on the priest were pure kino.

I think part V is a bit underrated. Does everyone hate it just because the real Jason isn't in it? A guy goes around dressed as Jason and does all the same stuff, you're not really missing out on much there. Part 1 doesn't have Jason as the killer either and no one complains about that.

Another thing is that I think autism karate Tommy is the most entertaining Tommy Jarvis. The way he's played as this crazy, traumatized weirdo makes a lot of sense given his experience as a kid. He's too calm and well adjusted in part 6 for my liking. I wanted to see where they might go with this weirdo, they had an interesting character going here and then they just scrapped it.

>all these plebs hating on based Part V

The kills were kind of shit and I wasn't a huge fan of troubled Tommy, he barely does anything in the film.

The tits were great though.

I think Part V is the most fun. It also has the best nudie scenes and based enchilada guy.

I also enjoyed autismo karate Tommy. It was hilarious how how just kept kicking people's asses. Was hoping that he would retain his fighting skills in the next one and beat up Jason but they went a different way and replaced him with some normie-tier guy.

They were going to show Roy stabbing her in the pussy.

Hatchet was awful. I'll never understand the love it gets. I didn't bother seeing the second and third, but perhaps Danielle Harris makes it better.

4 > 2 > 6 > 3 > 1 > 8 > 7 > 5 > X >>>>>> 9

I don't get everyone's hate for 8. Sure it wasn't actually in NY much and the unmask bit was lame, but apart from that was a decent F13, enjoyable F13 movie. I enjoyed the boat setting.

>awful
why?
it really get's the job done

they wanted corey feldman back for 5, but he was filming the goonies.

Shit characters, shit kills (they were too over the top), had Kane Hodder (i didn't care for him as Jason at all), shit writing, and the directing made it feel like a made for TV/bargain bin movie. I did like the New Orleans/bayou setting though.

Well, he was technically in 5, but just as a cameo in the intro.

I actually like that they decided to have an older Tommy (it did fuck with the timeline quite a bit though, not that it had any consistency in the first place though).

I think you expected anything but a campy low budget movie.

this although ill rank Jason X higher

6 > 4 > 3 > 1 > 2 > 7 > 5 > 9 > 10 > 8

My nigga. Ethel Hubbard made this movie great.
"You big dildo! Now eat your fucking slop!"

1= 2 > 3 >>>> the garbages

This is how you spot a fake fan, anyone who puts the first at the top has either never seen them, or only saw them once as a kid.

X < 8 < FvJ < Hell < 1 < 7 < 5 < 6 < remake < 3 < 4 < 2

X is objectively the worst. 8 has its moments, but it's a misfire on all counts. FvJ is fine, but Hell beats it because the gore is on point and it has second best Jason costume. 1 is classic, but alright. 7 has Tina--HNNGGG--and best Jason outfit/mask, plus the kills are over the top ridiculous. 5 is a perfectly fine movie (tits, gore, goofballs, quotes), it's just a shame it's Roy not Jason. 6 is overrated but still good. Remake is good. First 3 are the best--retard Jason, drugs, tits, not as cartoony as the others, memorable characters, good kills, tits.

My ringtone for my wife is Demon singing "Ooooh baby, oooooh baaabyyy"

I'm sick of fucking ghost movies. I think people actually still believe in ghosts ("retards") and that's why they do so well.
