What movies could be described as Kafkaesque?
Brazil
Transformers: Age of Extinction
Any movie were nothing happens, were what does happen is a meaningless step forward in a direction that leads nowhere else than another difficulty that is both barely surmountable and pointless since it leads to another one just like it.The final destination is a vague dream comparable to the concept of freedom, an unobtainable ideal that you doubt even exists.
Any movie were the protagonist is never getting any closer to his end goal. Any movie that ends unresolved, unconcluded and unconclusive. A movie that feels like waking up and going to work, over and over again.

Any movie where the protagonist is moved by forces hard to understand and interact with. Kafkaesque is a description of vagueness.
>when you enter a surreal world in which all your control patterns, all your plans, the whole way in which you have configured your own behavior, begins to fall to pieces, when you find yourself against a force that does not lend itself to the way you perceive the world.
"You don't give up, you don't lie down and die. What you do is struggle against this with all of your equipment, with whatever you have. But of course you don't stand a chance. That's Kafkaesque."
