I'm surprised there isn't a female lead book or movie set in this universe yet considering the creator is a woman.

Indiana Jones. Was also going to say Star Trek but DIscovery changed that.

Forgot my image

they toned down the woman slapping and woman throwing around a lot

considering that these movies offer a view into their respective time periods, I wouldn't be surprised if they attempt to do just that

also Die Another Day came awfully close to developing a spin-off series with worst Bond gril

Basically most long running Japanse franchise. Wouldn't it be awkward is Saban wanted a Red female ranger but Japan refused to make a Super Sentai with a female leader.

Thought you where calling Ian Fleming a woman.

Who's gonna be the first Jane Bond?

...

Wasn't there a Star Trek series with a female captain long before discovery?

Actually introducing a female M was due to feminism. Pierce Brosnan even made a comment to the new M, that he was hip with women's lib.

As long as it's not Bond himself it's ok.

she was retarded though

Still no female Kamen Rider.

It has though. The character is much, much less misogynistic than he used to be. Back int he Connery era Bond wasthe kind of person who'd be fine with raping women. The guy has a literal license to kill so anything that is less than killing is implied to be sanctioned as well.

These days, Bond treats most Bond girls more like chances to live a normal live. He actually cares when they die or get hurt because he sees them as people rather than sex toys with the occasional useful feature.

No it's just the person who bosses him around.

For 33 years Bond's boss was a man. And I didn't have any problem with Judi Dench as M, but OP is completely incorrect.

There was also the complete rewriting of Moneypenny. Even though she was a failed field agent they still took her away from her old secretary role where she stayed behind a desk the whole time.

Yeah he pretty much raped the girl in Goldfinger. I think it was Pussy Galore. She gave in eventually but he was not taking no for an answer.

Maybe I should have rephrased the thread title to be more specific to being major franchises with no female protagonists or male leads being made female.

I disagree though that Bond used to not care if they lived or died. He's always cared the same amount. Even in Skyfall when the girl gets shot in the head, he gets over it pretty quick. That's always been the case but he always tries his best to protect them. But back in the day he would slap the shit outta them if they weren't telling him what he needs to know.

I feel like this thread is going to end quickly. Practically every modern sequel or revoot has a female lead now.

I can't imagine a woman being able to do what Depp does as Jack Sparrow.

Not a major franchise but no actress could ever compete with Iko Uwais. I was literally cringing when I saw him wasted in the Force Awaken just like Donny Yen was wasted in Rogue One.

Any Stallone franchise obviously (Rambo, Rocky, The Expendables). He doesn't play that feminist shit one bit.

To be frank feminists don't need Indiana Jones since they already have Tomb Raider which is a female knockoff.

Good shit

Mission Impossible

Also: Ethan Hunt > James Bond

>Also: Ethan Hunt > James Bond
based on what?

obvious one

Yeah they couldn't make LotR like they did now, they'd make Gandalf black

and frodo and sam would be explicitly gay instead of implicitly

Sup Forums's answer to this

MI: 4 good movies, 1 bad
JB: 4 good movies, 20 bad

There won't be, the guy is literally the personification of every man's wildest dreams, he's masculinity incarnate. It'll never work with a female lead.

>JB: 4 good movies, 20 bad
nice bait. you've probably only seen 4 jb movies

>It'll never work with a female lead.
Like that would stop them.

>female m
>LGBT q
>nigger moneypenny
>metrosexual bond or did you forget he cries under the shower in casino royale and his relationship with m is mommy issues galore, also implied gay with silva
You're fucking retarded if you don't think current bond is beyond cucked by the kikes like Amy pascal forcing each rewrite to be more and more judeo ideologized

...

Sean Connery alone made 4 good Bond movies

Spectre wasn't too bad though. And they returned to a male M innit. A based one too.

You don't remember when they removed the famous "Bond girl coming out of the sea looking sexy" thing and made it be James Bond doing it instead?

kek

>lawl moneypenny was an agent
>bond girl knows how to use a gun
>M is a woman
>villain is female

Some of this stuff, e.g. Pussy Galore, has been happening since the sixties.

I do not necessarily think it's bad, but it is obvious feminism has been influencing Bond for a long time.

If you don't believe that then here let me spoonfeed it to you:

They're not wrong

>base your universe on pagan mythologies
>dude it's fundamentally christian lmao
Did JRRT go senile before his death?

>M is a woman
M was made a woman way back in Goldeneye as a nod to Stella Rimington, the first female head of Mi5, and the first such person to have their identity made public
Naturally this got a lot of press and we got a female M to reflect the changing times, which is of course the whole theme ofGoldeneye

...

That old rag Dench is the worst thing about Brosnan's Bond series. Gopdeneye would've been perfect if M was a man.

I coild see Morgan Freeman being a good Gandalf. Also the magical negro isn't really progressive. It's like saying Finn was groundbreaking because he's a black sidekick.

This. actually the Daniel Craig films are more obviously marketed towards women, that's why he's the first brooding Bond who's all hung up on his past, Vesper Lynd etc. He's really the first bond with any kind of inner life that we're shown.

...

hopefully this will continue the blade runner thread of BTFO roastie android sluts.

>creating political tribalism with manchildren media based on false assumptions

This wasn't supposed to be a cringe thread

...

Timothy Dalton brooded just as much as Craig did, and even went all emo when he was reminded of his dead wife from OHMSS.

But with that said Dalton was 100% marketed towards men. His movies were the most testosterone-driven of the series.
