Thanks for killing the simpsons you unfunnny bitch

I hate you a bit less than the hate I feel for child murderers.

salty milk and coins

But user you're asking for an impossible feat. the babby is more pure, even if she did shoot a fee people.

Lisa stopped being good after Season 4.

...At what point did she start being terrible, jeez? I dropped off of watching the Simpsons around the time Tony Hawk guest starred, but even then she wasn't the nightmare know-it-all bitch horror that Sup Forums consistently paints her as.

she doesn't anger me as much when I don't look at her.

That was answered in the post just above yours.

She's best when she's just Bart's sister and not on a crusade to change something. That box fort fight with UPS browncoats was her at her funniest and easily the most endearing.
"eh, lets melt it with the hose"

...Really? What the hell season 5 did you guys watch? I can't even remember any centric episodes other than the one where she reinvents herself at the beach.

The summer of 4 ft. 2 was in season seven though.

She was a fine character until Jean era, IMO.

Lisa vs Malibu Stacey was the birth of jerkass Lisa.

Lisa was already completely irredeemable shit by the Scully seasons.

....she wasnt a jerk in that episode, though.

Whelp. I'm out. She was completely justified in that episode even if you want to claim this was the start of her 'crusader' streak and would lead to bad episodes where she protests something just to be a contrarian.

She has delicious feet.

The only episode where I felt she was being shitty thats before Jean era, was the Season 11 episode where she gave Bart and Homer fake leprosy.

She's 8. Kids that age aren't exactly mature and non-vindictive.

Moaning Lisa still stands as one of the best episodes the series has ever produced.

Kids that age likely wouldn't even know what leprosy is.

Catholic school kids would.

I enjoy most times she's characterized as miserable.

And I actually like her; I just think Simpsons was best in Season 2-ish when everyone's life kinda sucked.

She's well liked by Simpsons writers

Remember when she was just the bluesy nerdy sister? Good times. Does she even play her sax anymore?

no

The porn's gotten better.

Most catholic school kids don't pay attention to religion class.

They do when they're talking about the violent, sexy or gross parts. Or when they don't want to get hit with a ruler.

catholic schoolfag here. Yeah you bet your ass we knew what leprosy was. A disease that made random bits of you rot and fall off? fuck yeah we paid attention to those lessons.

Seriously that was some fucking T-virus shit.

and it didnt even kill them. they usually died of a secondary infection or starved.

That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and slept with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

The next day the older daughter said to the younger, “Last night I slept with my father. Let’s get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him so we can preserve our family line through our father.” So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

So both of Lot’s daughters became pregnant by their father. The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab; he is the father of the Moabites of today. The younger daughter also had a son, and she named him Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the Ammonites of today.

Yeah Season 2 Lisa was best Lisa.

that

Welp, I'm lost.

puta

She's the Lizard queen

Was the Scully era really as terrible as it's claimed to be? Serious question.

He's hit-and-miss with me.

His work with Season's 9 and 10 was brilliant for the most part, had he stopped there he still would've been funnier, more accessible, and far smarter than the Mirkin episodes which had too many politics for their own good and which also started with Flanderizing the characters. Before the big turning point for Scully, it was Season 5 that was dense and Season 6 that was kind of boring.

But Season 10 started going a little downward toward the end with all the Homer-centric episodes like "Maximum Homerdrive","Monty Can't Buy Me Love", "Viva Ned Flanders",and "Make Room For Lisa",however it was still really good, far better than anything Mirkin ever ran. "Bart the Mother"

Then came Seasons 11 and 12,at which point Scully seemingly ran out of ideas and starting taking an "anything-for-laughs" approach with maybe two actually good episodes. The only good things out of this part were the episode where:

-Homer starts a motorcycle gang -Homer becomes a genius -Homer babyproofs Springfield -Maude dies -Comic Book Guy almost dies -Homer starts a daycare -Homer becomes a food critic -Bart takes drugs -Krusty tries to bond with his daughter -Barney goes sober while Bart and Lisa try to take a good picture for the phone book

Everything else was tainted by jokes that fell flat, dumb twist endings,Flanderization, and gags that consisted of crap like panda rape or badger clawing.
However this stands testament that Simpson's should change hands every now and then Scully figured that out eventually ,now if only Al Jean would either do that or just end it.

>Season 5-6
>the seasons with Homer the Great, Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baaaaddddassss Song, and Lisa on Ice
>bad

Really now.

yeah it's pretty gruesome stuff. And then you have all the martyrs. None of them died nicely.

Firstly most of those episodes started the Flanderization of the characters but people give them a pass because of 1-2 good jokes in them. "Computer Wore Menace Shoes" people seem to hate, they don't let The Prisoner reference alter such judgment. "Insane Clown Poppy" people seem to hate because of celebrity cameos at the beginning even if it nicely moves away from that. It's not like celebrity cameos being tacked on started in Season 10, we always have "Lisa the Vegetarian" to thank for that.

Meanwhile "Bart of Darkness" started jerkass Lisa. "Homer Goes To College" is so much like a Season 11 episode it isn't even funny. And "Boy Scout 'N The Hood" I almost gave up on Homer after that one. Not to mention "Homer Badman".

And "Deep Space Homer" begins the cycle of surreal Saturday Morning Cartoon plots and Homer getting a wacky job. I don't hate the episode, but I think it's overrated af. "Mayored to the Mob" is better than this.

"Homer's Barbershop Quartet" and "Cape Feare" are Season 4 holdovers so they don't count.

I admit those are good episodes, and I'll admit most of the terrible episodes have some laughs in 5 and 6. Like I said it wasn't til the 11th season Simpsons went downhill. But well Seasons 9 and 10 were simply easier to watch.

I'll give Dave Mirkin credit for "Lisa's Rival", "Who Shot Mr. Burns"," The Boy Who Knew Too Much" that episode with Mindy, and "Rosebud", but really the resemblance between Season 5 on a bad episode and Season 11 on a mediocre one is uncanny.

Homer Badman is one of the worst classic season episodes, I'm sorry. Bart the Murderer did a much, much better job of skewering the media.

Computer Wore Menace Shoes on the other hand, is actually fun to watch. The Prisoner stuff was entertaining even though I had no idea what the Prisoner was and I still don't.

She says what's on her mind. Whether anyone wants to hear it or not.

I love "The Computer Wore Menace Shoes" for the The Prisoner references. I get them now, but even at the time the episode was aired and I never saw The Prisoner, I still "got" the joke and thought it was pretty cool. The German Homer Expy and that weird koala with the glasses that randomly shows up when people get gassed were also hilariously random. One episode that angers me is Lisa The Simpson for being blatantly sexist against males. I like 95% of the episode, but I can't ever watch that ending again.

That's not a Scully episode, that along with "Principal and the Pauper","City of New York vs Homer","All Singing,All Dancing","Joy of Sect","Simpson Tide","Lisa's Sax" all them were holdovers from miscellaneous seasons for some reason stuffed into the 9th. Normally people just want to blame Scully for everything, but it was under his tenure that we have a reason to no longer consider that episode canon, that episode is "HOMR"

she has a legitimately cute design

it's possible it started earlier but I'd have to say the episode with her and Mr Burns, thinking about the ending to that one still pisses me off(indeed it's always made me angry)

also in my opinion while the quality started dropping around seasons 10-11, the show still remained watchable through season 14, 15 through 19 though were hot garbage for the most part, last couple of seasons have been almost okay for the most part, still lower than the good seasons, but not as bad as it's nadir point

Are you terlwyth or are you just copypasting other peoples' opinions to get yours across?

Also, nitpicking, but Viva Ned Flanders was at the *start* of season 10.

Mike Scully is a funny guy but he should have never ever been allowed to be showrunner.

Scully's episodes saw the show devolve into Saturday Morning Cartoon antics. The characters didn't feel like themselves anymore, but surreal cariactures of themselves.
