The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

>Sony merged Marc Webb's ideas for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2, featuring Electro and Rhino; and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 3, featuring the Green Goblin and Gwen Stacy's death, into one movie in order to build up to the Sinister Six and other spin-offs and compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Amazing Spider-Man" with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man fighting Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.

>"Spider-Man VS. The Amazing Spider-Man" with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man fighting Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.

We were robbed. Robbed!

Just another reboot, and we could have our Spiderverse!

Thank fucking God Roland Emmerich stayed away from it. I just watched independence day 2 and holy shit it was almost unwatchable. No likeable characters, no good action, a waste of good story potential. Holy fuck what a terrible director.

The Vulture sucks. Sam should have went with The Lizard, considering he had Curt Conners in Spider-Man 2 and 3.

I wonder how bad Doc Ock would've looked?

I want this movie so badly.

I wonder how different things would be if they got the Wolverine cameo

The closest thing we have is a special semi-cameo Spider-Man had in one of the first X-Men films (probably the second one but not sure) in which the hero mutants are running towards the camera in a hallway and all of the sudden spidey appears running with them in the back, but it was only bloopers for the movie.

Do not know the intent, or if it was just a cast member pulling a gag, but the video is there.

>tfw no David Fincher Oscar-Bait Spider-Man
just kill me senpai

This could've been pretty fun. I hope something like this happens down the line.

>daily planet

Wasn't there another script made by James Cameron where Doctor Octopus also gets the bite and goes around calling himself "The superior Spider"?

>but this was changed as it made Peter indirectly responsible for the creation of the Green Goblin.
What is fucking wrong with that?

Salty as god damn fuck this universe isn't continuing.

Stargate was good. And Godzilla 1998 had problems but it's direction wasn't bad at all.

They could very well be recycling the script for the MCU.

Yeah but it won't be handled as seriously. It will be retrofited to be campy dreck.

That was Zito's version. Cameron revised the script before convincing Carolco to scrap it altogether. He only really added his name and changed a few lines of dislogue.

>Secret Six
Catman in Spider-Man when

>grim hunt and maximum carnage

The only two things I would've liked to have seen.

>they were trying to overstuff Spider-Man movies with villains right from the start

It could happen now if the guy who played Japanese Spider-Man is still alive.

Wow, I've never seen an Amazing Spider-Man fan before.
How does it feel to enjoy a series when everyone else is glad that it died?

Did they ever release the Gambit scene?

Me too user. Me too

How would two spidermen even work? Spiderverse movie?

Spot would've been the main villain.

I actually love stargate. But ID: Resurgence, Whitehouse down, 8 legged freaks, 2012 are all dumpster fire movies. Like, abysmal.

"2012" is kino.

Would Spot's powers actually allow him to travel between the Raimiverse and Amazingverse?

>Columbus
>Emmerich
>Lee
>Burton
It's shit

>de Bont
>Scott
>Fincher
Potential

>Shyamalan
Would be interested just to see how the hell he did it

I would not have traded Raimi for any of these guys.

>Would be interested just to see how the hell he did it

Peter was the spider all along.

>Columbus

The first two Harry Potter movies were great.

>Burton

Batman and Batman Returns were also great though I definitely would worry about him going too "Burton" if given Spider-Man.

And where's Sinister Six and Amazing Spiderman 3? They got rid of two movies in hoping to make a franchise and wound up with nothing!

Drake Bell.

Sinister 6 is still in development at sony. We may very well get a MCU sinister 6 movie.

It would've been shit and you know it.

what a fucking mess, i´m glad this series is dead, not that homecoming is looking any good but it´s certainly better than this garbage and that´s saying something

It isn't, actually.

I doubt Marvel would let 6 characters in that they couldn't control, but even if a new Sinsiter Six movie is made, it will have as little to do with the original Sinister Six movie as Superman Lives has with Supeman Vs. Batman.

>In early drafts, Otto Octavius is a handsome young scientist who created the spider that bit Peter and who becomes involved with Mary Jane. He spirals into insanity after becoming addicted to endorphins that are released into his system when he uses his mechanical arms, which end up fused to his spine in a fight with Spider-Man. Jesus Christ, I'm always amazed by how many bullets a movie has to dodge to come out good.

>Bruce Campbell was expected to make an appearance as Mysterio.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

B-but all of this sounds so much better than what we got!
