You won't find a lot of love for it here but I do like that sequence a lot too, the shot in your pic especially is a great homage to splash pages.
But people here just whined about the enemies being an army of easily-beaten drones like in Av1, and the quips of course.
AoU overall is criminally underrated. Not to say it doesn't have plenty of issues, but there's a lot of good stuff in there, even some pretty daring choices.
"Better" is of course a subjective thing, but I've always had a soft spot for this.
The big fight in the first one is much better
youtube.com
I enjoy both of these scenes. I love the huge battles that feel like splash pages. Though in AoU the close-ups of them fighting were pretty bad.
> Marvel
Literally any scene from.
it looks like atypical the power ranger fight scene
Hmm. All the posts are minutes apart and they're all praising the cluttered Avengers fight scenes.
Samefag?
Fucking pic.

fite me.
Literally every other capeshit fight scene ever made including mortal kombat

I win. I always win.
My favorite cape scene ever is probably the scene with Nightcrawler in X2. Great way to set up the movie. Too bad the plot ended up so horrible.
Win isn't the word you were looking for. Suck or Fail were what you meant to type.
youtube.com
If this had not worked... who knows what kind of comic book movies we would have had afterwards
X2 and its plot was the best of that trilogy. I was actually surprised at how coherent it was.
And yes, that opening scene is still one of the best openings ever.
Oliver vs Ra's on that mountain top in season 3 of Arrow.
>Not being inspired by Superman

How can Marvel even compete?
When I was a teenager, this was the tightest shit: youtube.com
But I've always preferred the super-rescues to the super-battles. Iron Man catching the falling plane passengers and Superman stopping the falling plane are good too.
fuckin hell I loved both of those scenes
if only AoU did Ultron's character justice, and didn't off quicksilver for 'MUH HIGH STAKES FINAL FIGHT'
Anyone can kill.
Anyone can die.
>being inspired by anything in the abortion that is the DCEU
nah, easy to get inspired by '78 or even '80s superman, but not that garbage
>being inspired by a guy discovering he can do things no one else and that no human will ever reach his greatness
I don't know, being reminded that my species is flawed and needs a messiah from space is not very inspiring
Go to bed, Lex.
Please don't open this can of worms right now. Please.
What really annoys me is that this is the Ultron "fight". There is no climatic battle against the villain the film is named after. Just "All the Avengers just tank his army".
>>Only 74 civilians died.
GOAT
>ut people here just whined about the enemies being an army of easily-beaten drones like in Av1
Yeah, because it was shit
The one good thing Snyder did do was bat-fleck, besides the killing.
youtube.com
It's a great shot. It's too bad about the rest of the movie.
Man, that film was weird.
I will always consider this film the beginning of the age of modern superhero movies.
>the shot in your pic
That SPECIFIC shot, which lasts about 3 seconds, is pretty great, then it's immediately followed by an incomprehensible mess of quick cuts and closeups of the heroes' faces where we're supposed to just imagine how much ass they're kicking, I guess.
Anyway here are a couple of my favorite Capeshit moments
youtube.com
youtube.com
This scene was so good it felt completely out of place in the shitfest that was Spider-Man 3
still my favorite scene of all time
Really?
No one is gonna post it?
I'm gonna have to be the one, huh?
Alright, alright...
>but people here just whined about the enemies being an army of easily-beaten drones like in Av1
You're acting like that's not a valid complaint. That's funny.
You can meme about this scene till the cows come home. To see a fucking Nolan film start off with this level of mustache twirling comic insanity really set the tone for Bane as a villain.
Reminds me of Power Rangers
its stolen from fucking Michel Bay movies dude
That shit was laughably bad. Batffleck was the least thing I could take seriously in that shit flick.
youtu.be
Prove me wrong, motherfuckers.
That sequence is the best live action depiction of a comic book superhero, by far. It's someone doing impossible but never supernatural things. Not mugging at the camera, not wasting time with anything. Just pure action.
Easily the best sequence in the entire movie.
You know I love Henry Cavill's Supes, but fuck me Christopher Reeve looks and sounds so goddamn much like Superman it's hard to accept substitutes.
donner films were great
this
>That shit was laughably bad.
end your life
X Men Apocalypse gets a lot of shit because, to be real, a large portion of it is terrible. Apocalypse's powers shift all over the place and the plot only existed to guide characters to specific moments. But the Blue Man's speech right before he makes the world disarm itself gave me chills youtu.be
>end your life
Develop better taste.
I just watched this earlier today. the first 30 seconds of that clip still gives me chills, when I saw it in theaters I knew by this point that it would always have a spot in my top 3 cape movies.
Cap is amazing
this is awesome scene
he's right though you have shit taste
That's a big scene
The movie is four years old, you numbskull.
Let it go.
There's four Us in that first line
thanks, user.
i doubt baneposting will die soon, though. it keeps popping up elsewhere in other boards
>Immediately after the hero shot cuts
> Shot of Thor kicking that's rotated 90° on its side for no apparent reason
> Hawkeye THROWING AWAY his bow for some reason (at least civil war had it transform to a staff)
Whedon makes some weird choices as a director (Dutch angles in avengers 1)
MoS flight scene
BvS Lex speaking about the painting
Spiderman 2 train scene
BvS batfleck fight sequence
MoS kryptonians fight sequence in Smallville
The Flash and Reverse Flash S1 finale
Avengers 1 big fight sequence
there is literally nothing more noble than sacrifice
My problem with the scene is there is just no tension. Its clear that they aren't threatened in the least and its just boring to watch them smash one robot after another.
Says someone who clearly has never seen power rangers.
This isn't even in a rock quarry!
That crowd cheering at the end is so cheesy and so perfect.
It's so boring and bland.
Does anyone of you really enjoy scenes like that?
everything about sandman is sm3 was great
its mostly the venom bullshit they had to cram in that was shit.
fuck i love the cap trilogy
>BvS Lex speaking about the painting
That was awful.
It was especially the best action depiction of the mother fucking Batman. Especially after years of Nolan's non fight scenes, where you could barely tell what was going on other than Bale throwing elbows everywhere.
Say what you will about Snyder, THIS is how you shoot a fucking fight scene!
Eh... It's good, and probably the best scene in the movie, but I don't find it all that great. It drags a bit and Batman's feats are inconsistent.
>Ock tanking hits Spider-Man's hits like they're nothing
>Spider-Man not giving shit about debris falling from the tower (RIP Capt. Stacy)
That triggered me, but it still is a great scene.
I thought it was the most for lack of a better term "accurate" depiction of how a Batman fight should play out. Him using a combo of gadgets and martial arts to take down his opponents. Not to mention Batfleck is pretty much the most imposing live action Batman and looks legit intimidating.
My biggest surprise when watching this was the fact did not even once Snyder use any slowmo whatsoever, which actually help the scene a lot.
>Spidey pulls his punches and the depris couldent of hurnt anyone otherwise spider sence blah blah blah
Snyder hasn'tr been doing slow-motion for a while, he replaced it with greyscale and religious imagery.
It was the only dialogue from Jesse lex that wasn't embarrassing
Not that one.
OPs Scene the the continuous shot from Avengers 1 are in my top favorite capeshit film moments
can't pass up on the Helicarrier scene from Avengers. Such an amazing thing brought to life from the comics.
I hated how the Iron Man tier robot's seemed like they were made of tin and explosives by the end of the movie.
Fighting a million billion weak expendable drones doesn't make for an exciting climax.
I'm glad Anons posted Raimi Spider-Man stuff, Hollis's death, and even Marvel's Daredevil but I'm surprised nobody posted Hellboy fight scenes, when it comes to action, or The Russian vs The Punisher fight scene, which trumps every fucking thing you fuckers posted. You people have no taste, and you will never find anything better than this scene, when it comes to capeshit, I fucking dare you, plebs:
youtube.com
I mean, this is based on a comic but is it "capeshit"?
that said
congratulations OP, you successfully baited a lot of people
AoU is iredeemable garbage
