We discuss why there will never be an honest portrayal of leatherface in his prime and glory and how the original films idea will never be done Justice.

>No one wants to see a 6"1 confused, demented, manchild choke a poor yet purdy blonde teenager too death by violently forcing her to give him a special kiss while he's wearing her dad's face

The original film was all about idea and detail,
It wanted you smell the Gore and gristle, it wanted to shock you with the mad image and thought of pretty much being manhandled and and chased by a degenerated family and their chainsaw with legs.

Tl;dr all these new leatherface films are gay anus juice.

Bumpi

The guy that played new Leatherface was Zangief in the Street Fighter movie.

No one cares

Imagine this guy except with a bigger belly and the mind of a 7 year old, wearing someone's face, cooing and giggling like a big baby, playing with ur purdy blonde hair, the smell of head cheese broth flowing out his mouth.

i care faggot.

Gore films are for trash edglords anyway.

The problem is that everyone and their mother has ripped off TCM at this point, so it's probably not even possible to get the level of scary the original had anymore.

Are You just dont know how to appreciate it?

Imagine lena headey sitting on your face in character as mama from dredd

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre should've never been turned into a franchise. The original film is a nearly perfect horror film that will never ever be topped. Tobe Hooper understood this so he made 2 into a comedy that parodied the original film. He knew you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice.

no one cares

The original was not about being scary it was about being REAL, not in the sense that this things really happened, but they COULD,

Body horror
Homicide
Hopelessness
Phycological horror
A little bit of supernatural horror
People are capable many things especially the ones that live outside the law and that's where leatherface comes in

leatherface IS the horror genre

Am I the 7 foot hairlet in this fantasy?

>A little bit of supernatural horror
Wait, what?

It can if you give it the same approach as game of thrones
Showing people something new in the sense that humanity is degrading and most are too comfortable
They don't realise that they're normal life could suddenly end as roadkill

Ya see leatherface is life it's ugly
And what is leatherface and his family?
They are life.

That feeling that some people got when they saw the mountain squeeze that one guys head in with his hands in the game of thrones, they had never thought that was even fucking possible.
Leatherface is all about that.

The grandpa

How was he supernatural? It was just a catatonic old man.

>The original was not about being scary it was about being REAL
That's what made it scary. My point is that the killer rednecks in the woods thing has been done so damn much that I don't think you could ever capture what made TCM so good ever again.

not really supernatural, but in the first movie he's 124 years old (137 in the sequel)

>Texas Chainsaw
>Gore film
retard alert

Or a vampire/lych they had dug up in the previously mentioned graveyard robbery?
He could have just been a device to capture the twisted and perverted feeling of some hillbillies forcing you to give oral to their grotesquely disabled relative.

All I'm saying is that it was pretty specific on how they just made her put her finger in her mouth for him to suck on like that.

The fuck. Okay I guess it is supernatural.

Its the same problem with almost every continuing series.

cinematic Flanderization I guess you could call it? Picture Pirates of the Carribean and how Jack Sparrow went from a supporting comedic relieft/niche to main hero and then the MOST important amazing pirate ever OMG XD.

Leatherface superceded the actual EXPERIENCE of TCM and the later movies mainly turned into slashers. Hell, some are still a step above schlock like Jason goes to Hell or Dream Warriors, but its the same problem of people focusing on the arbitrary figures in movies instead of the core success of each property.

Remember when Pinhead became good and then died and they kept making seuels so they had to bring him back again and retcon everything so he could be a Freddy-type villain? Good times.

All the Texas Chainsaw films are gay, I saw the original and wondered why all the geeks in high school praised it. The only thing I can think of is that the premise was novel at the time of release although I don't really think it's that notable, one thing for sure is that many movies since it came out have done better with it

>Pinhead.
Another character that was ruined by moronic directors.
But in his case he was turned into an edgy villain instead of an amoral being.

Only an idiot would think it "could" be real, that's just bullshit gimmick "based on real events" that some idiots who can't google nowadays get duped into believing. I read the suppose inspiration for this, it was one guy, he didn't live in Texas, didn't use chainsaws, and was much scarier than leatherface and his family.

At least they gave him some pretty good quips.

>Edgy Chainsaw Massacre is the best thing ever
>Reddit spacing
Really makes you think

Didn't the original director just die? TCM is in the top 3 greatest films ever made, imo, but everything after that isn't worth watching.

Says the /r/the_donald poster.

read his post again before you turn on your autism faucet

It CAN be interesting and watchable and entertaining
All you have to do is take game of thrones and shrink it
Leatherface is the mountain, not a man but a THING, only good for one thing in his situation, he's also Looney.

And everyone else is either his family, or townsfolk and travelers
With maybe 5 supporting characters, and at least 3 specialists for spice to capture the whole hillbilly degenerate backwoods feeling.
Throw in some proto industrial music mixed with some lazy honky tonk tunes
Add in some old film imagery like in the beginning of the 2003 remake as if it were being reported.

Unfortunately yes.

Its sad. But its inevitable. At least there's always the first movie of each to like.

Btw did anyone ever make a found footage version of TCM? I suppose that would be pretty hard to justify since the urgency of being chased / captured couldn't explain a camera.

But the grittiness and panic of it seems like it would have already been done by now.

It be pretty hard to find an actress who's willing to be savagely manhandled in order to capture leatherfaces looney "uncle lester gonna beat me something Savage if he find me with this, I'm gonna hide it" *picks up and drags girl by hair as if she were a raggedy Ann doll* personality.

I think one big problem is that they keep shoehorning in sex like other horror movies, while TCM was just about violence which I think unintentionally highlights people's ironic designation of sex as taboo while violence is a ok, especially considering the vegetarian themes (people don't fuck animals)

Unironically the best TCM.

Leatherface was never an interesting character. The fact that the Michael Bay-produced reboot movies fixate on him relentlessly show what a stupid talentless kike Bay is.

The most honest depiction of leatherface will always be silence of the lambs. No Friday the 13th knock off will ever be honest.
