Can somebody who has actually seen this film tell me what the fuck happens? Everybody seems to hate this movie, but when I look for plot descriptions they are all vague as shit.

Shit happens

Allegory for bible stuff/mother earth destruction.

Badrem is God,house is earth, JLaw virgin mary/mother earth, her baby is Jesus.
People fuck shit up but God forgives them.
JLaw burns house down.
God resets everything.

This is not really a plot synopsis so much as a string of words that make no sense since I haven't seen the movie.

watch the rlm review

honestly dont bother. Even getting past all the eye rolling I did, showing a terrified baby slaughtered has got to be one of the most pointless scenes in the history of film. Adds nothing other than the director giving himself a metaphorical wank.

>house is earth
>JLaw virgin mary/mother earth
>JLaw burns house down

When did virgin Mary ever burn down the earth / when did mother Earth ever burn down herself?

That's literally what happens. Everything is a allegory for exactly that. It's a shitty arthouse film about Christianity and how fucked it is. Adam and Eve are pfieffer and forgot the guys name. ABel and Cain are in it. God's followers (humans) are flawed and mother earth/Angel Jlaw can't understand why God created us. God enjoys being loved by us. We kill Jesus (followers kill and eat jlaws baby). God forgives us flawed followers cause he made us. Flood happens (House burns down). God resets earth again.

...

i agree with you user, whenever i ask for the plot someone recites a poem buot the house being god and mary

...

>Flood happens (House burns down)

You're forgetting that the sink broke and flooded the house.

>(House burns down). God resets earth again.

Apocalypse and (not actually in Christianity) some kind of cyclical eastern mythology crap.

I think the "choke on em" scene from Day of the Dead had more visual impact personally.

at least that has some reasoning, to see the somewhat antagonist get swarmed.
You also reminded me of Romero and Savini discussing the idea of a pregnant woman in Dawn being devoured. They decided it was in bad taste (even for a tongue in cheek comic horror movie), something the hack Aronofsky couldn't figure out.

Read the last act summary

Mother goes into labor and finds her husband, who takes her to his study, where she gives birth. The havoc outside subdues as he tells Mother that the massive crowd wants to see the baby. Refusing, she holds on tight to her son. When she falls asleep, however, he takes the baby outside to the crowd, who grab him and break his neck. Devastated, Mother makes her way to the front of the crowd where she sees the hacked corpse of her child and witnesses the crowd eating his flesh. Furious at them, she calls them murderers and begins stabbing them with a shard of broken glass. They turn on her, beginning to strip and beat her until Him intervenes and stops it. Mother escapes the grasps of the crowd and makes her way to the cellar where the furnace oil tank is. Despite her husband's pleas, Mother sets the oil on fire, destroying the crowd, the house, and some of the surrounding garden and trees.

Both Mother and Him survive, but Mother is horrifically burned while Him is unscathed. He asks her for the love she has left for him, and she agrees to give it to him. He then tears open her chest, removing her heart in the process. As he crushes the heart, a large crystallized object is revealed. He places the object in a pedestal. Once again, the house changes from a burnt-out husk to a newly renovated house. A new Mother forms in a bed and wakes up, wondering aloud where her husband is.

This whole thing was to break Jlaw into his wife. The experience altered her forever

is the delivery in the movie a s hamfisted as the synopsis sounds?

the plot exists simply to tell the story of the bible. there isn't another story

I'll probably watch it when it shows up on the newsgroups 3 months from now, but NO WAY am I going to the theater. None of my money gets into her pocket.

It just uses bible sruff as allegories for the movie. Its about how God neglects mother Earth and forgives people who are destroying it, later part is all made up.

so this is just torture porn. got it.

Someone gave this a budget.

Movie is a million times better not knowing.

Enjoy the experience.

Cant help but think the baby killing orgy has something to do with pedowood and woody allen and polanski types who do that kind of thing for fun and shits

When did Aronofsky become such a fucking untalented hack? He used to be decent

what was the yellow medicine supposed to represent?

Someone who never saw the Fountain

Then go see the movie you lazy faggot & quit sponging to be spoon fed....unless its a black cock.
