Mandalorian helmet.
Which is funny. The more I catch up with the shit I missed out on, the less I like Mando shit in general. Their cities are claustrophobic as fuck, the Death Watch are fucking psychopaths, and I'm beginning to understand why everyone would rather shit on them on sight instead of give them any more time in the spotlight. Yet I can't seem to dislike the design of the armor, especially the helmet.
The same, I suppose, could also be said about Stormtroopers. They can't hit the broad side of a Hutt, but their designs have always fascinated me ever since I was little. Hell, even the shoretrooper is starting to grow on me a little bit.

To be honest, I'm digging the new Mandos even if I was never all that familiar with the old ones.
The Mandos having a particularly thorny governing system complicated by centuries of feuds and infighting is material that Star Wars doesn't often get into. The thing I liked about Death Watch is that their fate is pretty ironic: they resort to all sorts of violence to overthrow Satine, but when they finally succeed it's because they're being co-opted by Darth Maul. They advocate a return to being fierce badass warriors, and they soon realize that the environment in which fierce badass warriors thrive is fucking horrible for Mandalore. They literally get everything that they ask for and it nearly destroys their people.
Also question about Maul and his Mangos: Was he supposed to rule Mandalore for a long time? He seemed to govern over it for like a month before the infighting began.
Xavier Cooper
What is he, /swco/?
Luis Rogers
Its also ironic since the opposite extreme, extreme pacifism, nearly destroyed Mandalore as well
Moderate Mandalorians dont exist it seems

Some interesting tidbits on Kylo Ren's past. >He grew up with Han and Leia. Every year he would go spend some time with Luke on Tattooine. This was His break from His boring job accompanying his mom on Senatorial missions. His favorite past time was driving Luke's old speeder over the pit of carkoon and trying to recreate the destruction of the death star. He eventually got so good at it that he could hit a small piece of Jabba's sail barge in the middle of the mess that is now the carkoon pit. >He would always ask Luke to take him to important places from the civil war like Endor or Yavin IV. In one instance he asks Luke to show him the battles 'where the great General Skywalker once fought the Empire' and Luke harkens back to Yoda when he responds something along the lines of 'Wars don't make someone great Ben. A Jedi's goal should be to stop wars before they even happen. We did what was necessary since the Empire couldn't be reasoned with but this was a war we shouldn't have been fighting. It was caused by the failure of the Jedi in the days before the Separatists.' 1/2
Colton Collins
>eventually when Ben is a teenager Luke sees the potential in him and begins training him to be a Jedi. I think he gets his first lightsaber when he's 12 (shown in the VR demo). Ben is disappointed to realize that the life of a Jedi is very similar to the boring senatorial work he used to help his mother with. His only views on Jedi are what he's seen in holodramas about Jedi falling in love or fighting the evil General Grevious in the Clone Wars. >ultimately what turns him is his belief that the galaxy is being split apart by Imperial sympathizing worlds (who actually solve problems because they don't rely on the crappy New Republic to help them) and New Republic world's who have become so weak and reliant on the New Republic that they can't even properly deal with gangs of pirates threatening their systems because instead of having their own military force they're reliant on the limited forces of the New Republic. This along with the revelation that Darth Vader is his grandfather inspires Ben to join the Resistance with the purpose of finding out where the First Order was and how to contact them, then defecting. Working on a new book that goes into more detail with this stuff. Its similar to the biographical Tarkin and Plagieus books and it's about how Ben Solo turned into Kylo Ren. Keep in mind that it's only been in production for a few months because Episode 8 only recently finished most of it's production so some of this stuff may change. Also they're still in talks about the nature of how Snoke communicated with Ben. That and exactly where the First Order is in Ben's early years but they're almost done with the politics since the last Aftermath book recently finished production. 2/2

Hondo hasn't lost his charm. He just got old.
Owen Flores
Grievous destroyed his base of operations, Maul stole some of his men, and he's just overall fallen from grace.
He's a washed-up former pirate lord who is a shadow of his former self. Hasn't lost his charm though!
Isaac Wright
Nah. Pablo doesn't do fanfiction.
Brandon Flores
The Empire, of course.
Also Hondo lost his main base of operations to General Grievous as Dooku sought payback for what he did to him in the first season of The Clone Wars.

Jace Ross
I'm just glad that the character is still around, being developed and used in interesting fashion. We've seen him as a great pirate lord already, imho its more interesting to see him scrounging and barely getting along because that contrasts with his previous role.
Jaxon Reyes
Go watch TCW.

>most 4
>least 2 or 7
This is not indicative of which movie is best by the way. 4 obviously stands on its own the strongest. 2 ends on such a weird note that you don't really just want to watch it on its own without then watching TCW or 3.
And I shouldn't have to explain why 7 isn't good for rewatching on its own.
Jonathan Gonzalez

>The door flung open, the broad behind it quickly drawing her pistol. Before she had time to cap him off, the tall broad-shouldered Story Grouper slammed her into the ground. They began making love atop the hoard of illicit coffee beans she'd been smuggling out of Colombia. >"I-I didn't think Canadians could be so vicious," she said as he ravished her, exulting in her lust. >"Most people don't realize it's in the canon," said the Story Grouper, thrusting away in a manner which would make the corrupt Cowboy-hat wearing sheriff intensely jealous. >"Say my name!" yelled the woman. >"FRESHLY GROUND ROAST!" roared the Story Grouper before they collapsed onto each other in a sordid pile of filth.
Oh christ, why did I write this?

It doesn't make sense since her policies called for planets to stand on their own. Though she's retired by Bloodline and Ben is still with Luke at that point, so without her shit went south fast.

Reverse psychology and all that, you could build up your military, but you shouldn't because the New Republic would use that as a pretext to come in, attack, take all your stuff and then make you reliant on them for protection.

>The original name of the episode was the COMMODIA JOB (and later, PIRATES OF THE CAMMODIA SYSTEM) as the planet’s spiral flush of atmospheric turbulence inspired a toilet joke or two. Better taste prevailed, and the planet was renamed Wynkathu.
I think the Rebels writers love puns guys
Thomas Johnson
Nice. I was starting to think that Thrawn was too soft for an imperial, letting the rebels go and all that (I know it's part of keikakku, but he needed to demostrate some ruthlessness to balance it)
Levi Foster
I bet you anything there were some peace term politicking like Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution with former Imperial centers of power. That could explain why some states are more reluctant/unable to fully reform their own military. A militia is technically a smaller scale than a full standing army, isn't it?
Zachary Howard
>During development, the story was likened to be a cross between a disaster movie and a heist flick. As an analogy during the story conference, the cargo ship was likened to a World War II German train filled with looted European treasure. The theme, “Working together is always more profitable than only looking after your own interests.”
Jonathan Rodriguez
>The Imperial sentry droids were inspired by the Dark Troopers from the classic video game Dark Forces. The animation body frame is the largely the same as General Kalani from “The Last Battle” earlier this season.

>The sentry droid’s built-in top blaster on its right arm is actually a repurposed and modified E-11 stormtrooper rifle.
Kevin Myers
>Melch now wears Hondo Ohnaka’s pirate symbol on his helmet.
This trivia is very important
Brody Ward
In general militias are rear guard troops that are more lightly equipped and have lesser training. In reality militias are what their government says they are. So you can have your national guard be as strong as a real military like in the US.
