How do you define heroic? Someone who defies impossible odds? Someone who achieves great feats? Is a hero someone who thwarts evil and ensures righteousness prevails? Certainly the answer is yes. These are all the traits of a hero, but to me in a real sense a hero isn't merely someone who encompasses these things. No I see a hero as a much simpler thing. To me a hero is merely someone who is there for you when you need them most.
