>cars 3: lightning returns

Cars 3: The Fappening

Cars 3: The Trumpening.

Cars 3: Lightning Strikes Thrice

Cars 3: I bet I can do this sick backflip mid-race

Cars 3: Recycling

Who the fuck outside of Disney wanted this? Do they really think suddenly going grimdark will interest people?

Do you really think the movie is going to be grimdark?

This whole thing is just generating more buzz

Cars 3: Worthless

Cars 3: Wreck-Ignition

Cars 3: The Nomad Soul

The sheer tonal whiplash is making me interested because it's just hilarious. It's a better comedy then the original movie, and that's just the trailer.

The original movie came out in 2006.
Maybe they are banking on the original audience being disenchanted teenagers by now.

Cars 3: The Real Cars 2

Car 3

McQueen is dead.

The end.

Also known as the "Toy Story 3" approach.

>2006 was ten years ago

>Revengerance
Too complex for middle america and China.

Cars 3: stay toned for Incredibles 2 sneak peak after the film

Cars 3: Tires of the Patriots

>TS2 came out in December 1999
>TS3 was in June 2010
>the gap felt like a fucking eternity
it's the same gap Cars 1 and 3 have now, but doesn't feel that long ago
I hate being an adult

I think you mean
Cars 3: Brake Eater

Cars Episode III : Revenge of the Stickshift

Cars 3: Inside is what Maters

Cars 3: Vroomsday

Cars 3: Electric Boogaloo

...

What's with this subtitle on every Cars 3 thing? Are they going to have an intervention/documentary-esque "From this moment, everything will change" screen after every little shocking moment in the movie, with elevator-tier music playing in the background as the text blurs into appearance?

>I'm gonna race today, even though it's storming
>[From this moment, everything will change]
>He flips and crashes
>[From this moment, everything will change]
>"Listen stickers, I'm taking our carts into custody"
>[From this moment, everything will change]
>Mater makes a comic relief joke
>[At this moment, nothing has changed]

Is it just me or is it possible that these are going to be humans in normal cars? The window on the side there looks see through.

please don't do this to me.

Nah, just reflecting the road behind the camera position, with a bit of sky.

The McQueen Rises

>Do they really think suddenly going grimdark will interest people?
It's been working

Cars 3: The Backdown

Cars 3: The quest for more money

Cars 3: From This Moment Everything Will Change

Makes sense, if they were poised for that kind of reveal they wouldn't make it that obvious

I hope they follow the comic and pass the cowl on to the Mater

the Mater arcs are way better anyway

Cars 3: After Today

Cars 3:Extending The Wait For Incredibles 2

Cars 3: The Search For More Money

Cars 3: A Very Serious and Dramatic Pixar Movie about Talking Cars and their Problems

DO NOT

Cars 3: I'll keep Trucken

Cars 3: Part 1

Cars IV: A new set of brakes

you forgot

Cars 3: Revenge of the Shift

Star Cars: Return of the Jeep

Cars 3: Beyond Thunderdome

Cars 3: The Road Warrior

Cars 3: Destroyed Like A Tree

>Do they really think suddenly going grimdark will interest people?
Well it at least got people's attention and that's all that matters to them. Didn't the trailer thread get a lot of attention?

...

Sure, why not?

It sure as hell has put them in the spotlight.

Also does anyone have the "this is the last message my best friend send me before he crashed" pic?

>Zootopia's original plot had to be scrapped because Lassiter through a shitfit over it being too dark
>But hey, let's advertise the third film of Cars, the most baby pandering franchise from Pixar, with the main character getting mangled by a fucking crash and stick it right before the start of a colorful princess film

...

Zootopia isn't Pixar.

Almost the entirety of the Good Dinosaur was bleak and depressing.

Cars 3: The Ballad of Lightning McQueen

>Cars 3 starts out with a grim scene of what looks like Lightning McQueen dying in a horrible car crash
>screen zooms out to see the goofy cartoon cars are just watching an over the top dark & gritty movie version of their adventures
>the rest of the movie is the cars going on a cutesy adventure like the other two

You think you know me.

Cars 3: The Phantom Pain

People think Cars 3 is going to be dark? It's probably just McQueen has a big wreck like Doc did, he recovers just fine, but he's not in the spotlight anymore.

This is so fucking satisfying. I fucking hate these movies, and seeing lightening mcqueen in intense pain is almost orgasmic.

Cars 3: Fire

Cars 3: drive another day

>two tires holding hands
>simplied titled mcqueen
>jhonny cashs hurt with lyrics edited to feture car themed lyrics

That's a barrel roll.

The kids who grew up with Cars are now in highschool and college, the same way the kids who grew up with Toy Story were when 3 came out.

It's just the series evolving with its core audience; I'm honestly kinda glad this is Pixar's approach to sequels, since it ensures we'll get something different each time rather than "THE OLD CLASSIC BACK FOR A NEW GENERATION".

Cars 3: Takedown

You must not have seen the second one.

youtube.com/watch?v=pu2ktAU51jk

This is Age of Ultron all over again.

I don't think McQueen will be replaced though. If anything, this will be a story where he gets some kind of makeover/upgrade for more merchandising opportunities.

Not even one post in, and we've already hit /thread.

That would be fucking terrible.
Just terrible enough to actually happen.

I have no idea how they're going to make this serious even with those rubbery faces they all have.

Requiem for a Car

Cars 3: Dawn of Justice

Cars 3: First Blood

Cars 3: Beyond Thundersome
Nigger that was my backup one. You didn't even include the McQueen vs Tater.

I was tempted, but I wasn't sure that would be the central conflict.

They made this scene made it the posters? What the fuck

>People in the thread keep sayng that this marketing don't work
>Here we are talking about this

Publicity sure is a fascinating force

I hate this over dramatic world.
polygon.com/2016/11/29/13778772/cars-3-trailer-reaction-kids-pixar

it's a fucking kids film you mongrels. They will hype it up to be something it's not and then all of the trailers will be filled with jokes and Mater and everyone will act like they were given false promises or something

>those gifs
fucking staged like every other reaction video on the internet

it doesn't look like he's dying, to a kid it would just be kinda confusing why things slowed down and he's flipping over, kids crying? fucking no they're not crying because of the content, they can't process these implied scenes and they don't even show it enough or in a certain way that it's clear of something like that

god i wish people's reactions wouldn't be filmed, they always over do it, even the kids

Cars 2 had a character murdered on-screen.

>MCQUEEN IS FADING
>FADING FAST
what the fuck did that current year of course female announcer mean by this? did he try to do this race sleepy or something?

What happened to his tire? Did he seriously do the same NO TIRES NO TIRES shit?

higher quality shows his eyelid

No one? I gotta be the guy?
>Cars 3: A Dale Earnhardt tale

Kachow? More like KashCow

I can see an initial sequence being done like the trailer, car guy has accident, timeskip fade into established cars look.

Either a "i'll get back into the game" story, or it'll be car guy training his kid(s) to race.

Yes, apparently. How much of the old Pixar team is still left, though? Can't be too many as they've been rotated out to Disney.
