Can some anons please give me a summary of the Brian Michael Bendis hate I see so much everywhere on here?
So far I like most of the comics he wrote, one major exception being Ultimate Spiderman.

Can you imagine if the majority of Bendis's work was good? That would be insane.
His writing has gone so far downhill over the years
I personally liked him up until 2010 or so, and I've kept up with most of his stuff since (except gotg, I just can't do it)
But I mean, the end of his ginormous avengers run, age of ultron, was pretty bad
And Ultimate end was the reading equivalent of a kick in the nuts
What have you read by him OP

He wrote a lot of comics which ones? Because it really depends his indie stuff is great if very dated now but some
All of his characters talk the same. He doesn't give a shit anything other than what he has written. His plots are either meandering wastes of ink (with lots of 2 page spreads to reduce how many pages he has to write) or NOTHING WILL WVER BE THE SAME gimmicks and sometimes both.
Accordingly, his only good work is Ultimate spider-man since teenagers actual talk like his characters do, he was the sole creator and when he changed something it really did change forever
Except when Peter died at the end of Ultimatum and then came back a couple months later
Or when Gwen came back as a clone and stayed back
Or when Norman came back like 12 times

The last issue of Ultimate Spider before the 2009 or 10 reboot after ultimatum was totally silent and about Jessica fighting the hulk, then his whole waifu harem looking for him and only finding a mask

Pretty much everything Dark Reign/Siege, especially Dark Avengers
Everything House of M was good too.
Infamous Iron Man is just starting but I already like the way it is going, reminds me a lot of Dark Avengers of which I could not get enough of...
