Another factor is how the Democrats have behaved. For 20 years or so they have developed a culture where shitting on people you disagree with politically is what makes you a good person. We have all seen in movies where the white American businessman is the bad guy, or the protagonist gets picked on by a couple of working class whites has been going on for 40 years. That shit is intentional along with the (((comedy))) shows that male fun of working class whites going "THEY TOOK OUR JERBS!" Then you have these useless overpaid chattering skulls who deal with any criticism of Democrats from Working Americans by rolling their eyes and implying they are racist. That has galvanized anyone who works and pays attention.
Then there is history. Since Truman the Democrats promise to raise taxes on the rich then raise taxes on everyone, while Republicans cut taxes for everyone and Democrats scream they are cutting taxes for the rich. (Kennedy excluded from that list though) And every election cycle the Republican candidate is a racist puppet for Wall Street and the rich who wants to kill poor people.
