"Why should we fight" he asked me, "'Cause England is at war? Why are they fighting now, Dad, What are they fighting for? What does it mean to you, Dad, To babes, and mum, and me? The Germans won't come here From away across the sea. So why should you go there, Dad, And leave us here to cry? Is it cause England owns us? Is that the reason why?" His eyes look widely at me, I tightly held my son, And this is how I answered, His questions one by one.
"We fight when England calls us, For in her sacred keep The ashes of our fathers Lie in her soil asleep. And many times for England They fought that she'd be free, And they are part of England, And so, my son, are we. And some may pass her by, lad, And some may scorn her hand, But we must be forever A part of that fair land. For everything we have son, That's good and fine and just Was washed in British blood And given to us on trust.
"And we must keep that trust, son, Against the force of greed. And fight beside old England Whenever she's in need. And once again she's calling Across the Empire wide, And all her Empire answers: "You'll find us at your side" Oh yes, we're owned by England, But we own England, too, As you are part of me son, And I am part of you"

Kingdom? 1) Who would you get to be the King/Queen of England? 2) Regardless of what you think of her peoples England and the UK need Scotlands land, sea territory and her offshore islands (especially Shetland) for revenue, fishing rights, oil and sovereign territory. Scotland is home to the nuclear deterrent and is the location of shipbuilding and housing/training our submarine fleet. The SNP voting cucks in scotland are irrelevant as Edward I knew, its the land that's important and the added bonus of many loyalists bringing their expertise to many parts of government
Luke Taylor
Grammar schools are the perfect way to explain what it means to be a leftist retard
>select children based on academic ability alone >no bias towards social class, race, location etc. >overwhelmingly successful exam results >kids go on to get good degrees and high paying jobs >also have a high standard of behavioral success: manners, organisation, responsibility etc. >but because poor kids can't afford private tutoring to pass the 11+, nobody should be allowed to go to a grammar school >now the only schools offering better education for smart but poor kids are banned

TRAITOR THREAD
Julian Evans
Nice way of avoiding the question, unfortunate that it's years out of date.
Fact remains that historically, England has been a political entity for only two relatively short periods. One was between the late ninth century, when the first English national kingdom was created by Alfred the Great, and 1016, when it was conquered by Canute the Dane. The other was between 1453, when English kings effectively gave up their attempts to rule France, and 1603, when James VI also became James I to unite the thrones of Scotland and England. And even then, in this second period, England included Calais (until 1558) and Wales (from the 1530s) and was increasingly intertwined with Ireland.
Otherwise England has always been part of something bigger. From the Norman Conquest of 1066 to the mid-15th century England was part of a larger political unit that included much of France. Then it was a part (albeit the dominant one) of a multinational kingdom that included Scotland, Wales and Ireland. And from the late 16th century onwards England was the centre of a global empire: its identity and system of government were imperial through and through.
So out of the past 1,200 years of its history England has “stood alone” for fewer than 300 years – and none was in the modern age. England has no modern experience of being a bounded national entity that governs itself and only itself. So I guess I just can't imagine an independent England, nor could I imagine trusting the English people to rule themselves tbqh.
William Allen
Really? I'd have thought they'd take that opportunity to vilify white colonists. What do they teach you about Southern African history as a whole?

That might all be true but England is the powerhouse, the centre, the core and rock anchor of the United Kingdom and previously the British Empire. Don't sell papa England short, without him we wouldn't have the food on the table, the roof over our head or the men on the wall keeping us safe.

I got romans/tudors/industrial revolution/ww1 and ww2. In my second year of college they started a second history course on ancient history which for some reason included the crusades. >paying taxes for "home nations" What did he mean by this? I'm not sure if you're trolling, but if you think England is economically and diplomatically better off without Scotland you're disillusional. You'd lose control of your borders, your territory would be diminished, your military expertise and personnel would be even more reduced than it already is and can ill afford. You'd condemn the United kingdom to split up, the overseas territories would cease to be British and be swallowed up by other nations, falklands and Gibraltar especially. There is no way the royal family would survive such a disaster and England would become a republic. With this bombshell most other countries would also remove the Royal family from their laws and become republics too, Canada, new zealand, australia all. The Commonwealth would lose it's greatest advocate and diminish or turn into nothing more than a pipedream.
You'd do all this just so London could take complete control over England and rule you as the Muslims, pakis and indians out breed pure english stock and take over.
You're right, scotland can't survive without England and the UK but England wouldn't be the green and pleasant land you think it would become.
