I like how emotional it was. While the battle between Aang and Ozai was epic, Zuko vs Psycho sister had this weird feelings. Hell, the music made it look like it was a moment of sorrow which it kinda was.

There's three things that make this different from fight scenes animated in Japan. The first is that its very consistent, with the characters steadily moving at a steady pace with no pauses or notable changes in speed (there's motion blurring and some smearing to make things look faster, but the speed is still the same). The second thing is that the camera work is very conservative and focused on clearly showing everything that happens, from enough of a distance that the fighters are fully in the frame, and with relatively long shot lengths. And a third thing is a high framerate.
Even though this is inspired by anime, the American animation traditions are still clearly present.

Yeah, it was an 11/10 fight while it happened but it deserved a better ending than Zuko getting dumped into the sidelines while Katara takes down Azula.
I know the whole "b-b-but is meant to show that Zuko has friends while Azula is all alone because of their actions" but still, I don't feel like it was an appropiate or satisfying ending to the Zuko v Azula storyline.

When it started underperforming, CN sold the rights to producing and airing the show for insurance money. It will never be aired on the network ever again.
It was hardly the show's fault, too. It got mediocre ratings in primetime and was banished to Sat AM hell. When it got good just a few episodes later, it was already stuck at the 6 AM slot where no one could see it shine. Tragic.
