I personally suffer from a similar, but different, kidney disease called IgA. There is no cure for that one either. Martin Shkreli wrote on Twitter that when he was deciding where to focus his research on, he was between IgA (what I have) and FSGS (what he's treating).
I know he reads Sup Forums so I'll just say thank you. For the record, I had vehemently defended him on Sup Forums from day one, without knowing he was working on the disease (or knowing I had one).
