>Guardians of the Memes instead of the real Guardians
>Telltale
Pass.

There are so many other Marvel properties I'd rather they did.

No

Nooo

Nooooo

>TellTale

OOGA CHAKA

>Marvel cosmic
>endless potential interesting sci-fi stories
>GotG movie kills any potential for that by making it cosmic into Star Wars for nostalgia braindead millennials

Thank you Disney. Thank you Tim Gunn

This is going to suck as much as Minecraft Story Mode.

I hope Pat and Woolie "play" it.

Minecraft was based
All telltale games have been good storywise
Its just the gameplay that sucks

>Memecraft was based
Nope

I generally like the telltale games (Even if TWD season 2 was not nearly as good as the first one), but I'm willing to give it a shot.

My biggest concern is them just trying to do a bad imitation of the movie just like Bendis, something I can definitely see happening.

Fuck off, shill.

Telltale hasnt dissapointed me in a while, Ill definitely play episode one since they always go free and make my verdict then

FUCK OFF SHILL!!!

Do they finally have a new game engine that doesn't perform like absolute dog shit?

Telltale "games" don't really interest me. Love GOTG even the movie but I doubt I'll play this unless it's exceedingly good.

I too would love more material featuring the real Guardians!

You bet your ass they don't!

well Gunn said just the other day that Vol. 2 will be Science Fiction as opposed to the first movie's Space Opera

Could be good, could be shit. It's hard to tell from a teaser without even a hint of gameplay. I don't mind Telltale at all, though I think they were best way back with SBCG4AP. I appreciate the attempt at bringing other genres into their weird blend of point and click and visual novel, but their herky jerky animation engine is offputting and only tolerable when the writing's good...which is never a guarantee.

On the plus side...more models for porn movies. Wanna see Gamora and Mantis and Nebula gettin' pounded?

I haven't played a Telltale game since Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 1 where I realised that while I liked season 1, I absolutely wasn't down for more of the same.

So, are their games basically still just more of the same?

>All telltale games have been good storywise

What is Walking Dead 2?

I want shills to LEAVE

They can't keep getting away with this!

Mash X to Dance Off Bro

How about you fuck off first, Sup Forums

Why won't they make a Star Trek game?!

Jesus Christ

>point and click adventure """"games""""

You know why this shit was popular in the 90s? It was because computers hadn't gotten to the level where they could have you play games where you had immersion and control. Now we do.

Why the fuck are we going back to when games required you to read 90% of the time?

I really liked their Fables game. TWD part one was good, part 2 felt forced in a lot of places. I enjoyed Borderlands in a very superficial way. Haven't messed with GoT or Batman yet, I'll wait until they're on the Steam altar of Sales. I'll probably get to this, eventually, but there's not any real hype behind that. I like the stories but I'm not fond of "adventure games" as a medium.

If James Gunn isn't involved I don't give a flying fuck

>their herky jerky animation engine is offputting

I just want you two to know I am smugly laughing at you

>I hate reading, it makes my head go owie
We know, kid. We know.

>Reading is bad.
Fuck off, Sup Forums.

TellTale's games are bad, but being point-and-click has nothing to do with why they suck.

>Sup Forums hates GotG movie now
Thus the cycle continues, which cartoon or movie will be the next victim?

Sup Forums is not a hivemind

there as many or more people in this thread that liked it as there are idiots who don't see the irony of forcing a meme to complain about memes

>GotG
>Not making a Tell-Tale game where you play as a S.H.I.E.L.D agent teaming up with a different hero every episode

I wanted DareDevil.

>real Guardians

you're a real faggot

>posting Bendis GotG
You're one to talk, nigger.

>only Abner Landing wrote the only acceptable Guardians

fuck off meme garbage

>likes Bendis GotG
You're one to talk about memes, nigger.

The only decent Telltale game nowadays anyways is the Borderlands one, and even then, that's pushing it.

Gerber's Marvel Feature was pretty good, and Valentino's run in the 90's was always great.

But Bendis's run was total fucking wank.

>Telltale
>doing another by the numbers video game series

This is bizarre to me. Walking Dead has a lot of drama, Batman has the detective shit going on, but Guardians really seems like a franchise that shouldn't be bothered with without competent action. Surely sci-fi more like Star Trek would be a better fit for Telltale.

>Mix tape
Noooooooo
>No "ooga chaka"
Well, at least it's not as awful as it possibly could have been.

Will they have their fucking uniforms already? Will Groot be able to speak normally again, like he used to?

youtube.com/watch?v=wX0aiMVvnvg

Groot had stopped speaking before GOTG v2 even started.

So that's a no then

So in addition to the sequel and the TV series, we're getting an episodic adventure game? How much Guardians do we need?

I thought that the game would feature a property that hasn't really been a part of the MCU yet, like Howard the Duck, Man-Thing, or Squirrel Girl. I'm disappointed.

Don't care. It was a shit joke that has long overstayed its welcome

And by v2 I mean the comics

You know, before Telltale's Batman series was announced, I was kind of hoping they'd tackle Spider-Man or Daredevil for their Marvel project.

The only positive thing to take away from this is the inevitable SFM porn of Gamora getting spitroasted by Drax and Groot.

I have never heard a proper argument for why Groot speaking makes him a better character. He's been a walking meme since Giffen brought him back.

Please user, tell us YOUR favorite Guardians run.

You clearly know so much about the characters and they various histories of the team. Please tell us your favorite run and why they be a better fit.

Valentino>Gallagher desu

Dude it's not the movie but more what's been done to everything else with the Guardians and how Marvel is trying to make everything else like the movie without anything that made the movie enjoyable.

interesting that they're doing DC and Marvel

People are a lot more vocal about their dislike of it now than when it was released. Back then people didn't bitch about "quips" and "memes" in the MCU as much.

desu I was hoping for something closer to that.

That is definitely annoying. They pulled that shit with the GotG cartoon that was so bland no one even talks about it here.

This shit makes you sound like an elitist cunt

Howard or Man-Thing would have been perfect.

>People actually hate telltale

how am I elitist for voicing my preference in writers

Fuck it.
I just want a sequel to SBCG4AP or their BTTF game already.

Telltale hasn't been good since TWD

I'm still pretty meh about this choice, but I also wasn't too thrilled about Telltale Batman and that ended up pleasantly surprising me.

I just hope they aren't forced to pander to the MCU too much and can take a few risks. Maybe even borrow or take inspiration from the comics.

Sup Forums hates Telltale more than anything

We don't know if this ties into the MCU in any way, do we?

I don't see why. Sure the game engine needs a pretty big overhaul but the stories themselves are enjoyable and surprisingly effective.

What the fuck did he do? Redesign Gamorra's costume?

>He unironically likes Bendis' GotG

They tell you your choices matter but they're almost all inconsequential in the long run. Plus the gameplay is shit.

After playing Tales of the Borderlands, I'm cautiously optimistic.

I don't think so, Jim.

Tales of the Borderlands was fun as fuck. Easily my favorite Telltale series.

You just point and click. Of course it's simple.

>TWAU 2 NEVER EVER
IT'S NOT FAIR

So I see you haven't played the Back to the Future Telltale Game

>everything GOTG will forever be reduced to badly aping the same movie over and over and over again
Just kill me now

You point and click with no thought. There used to be some element of puzzle solving. Go play Grim Fandango for a bit and see for yourself.

These days it's all

>There's a latch that needs to be unscrewed to proceed
>Gives you a screw driver a few feet in the opposite end of the room.

Gee I wonder what I need to do to proceed.
