They know they cannot hold SAA attack in full force so they are trying to distract them. What is also interesting is that SAA is using elastic defense tactic in Hama and other positions that "rebels" attack, so immidiate gains from rebels soon become logistical burden. FSA/Nusra strech themsleves to thin and SAA attack weakpoints.
