Why? The dissonance bothers me to OBSCENE degrees and I know I cannot be the only one who feels that way. I can't imagine it would be fun for animators to try and mix styles, and you have two very different aesthetic styles trying to be merged together. It would be one thing if you did a artistic style change for a whole episode or a bit as a joke, but we are talking about gimmicky shit that doesn't feel fun to watch or even hear about.
Someone please explain to me why anyone ever does these kind of crazy crossovers outside of marketing reason.
