If I make a political website that doesn't moderate raiding and brigading, will someone high up try to sue me? I'm thinking of a free speech imageboard that bans pretty much nothing but CP. The website would have side rules that are modified by users and enforced by users. I already have a working model on how to implement this.
So Sup Forums, can I do this legally and not be under the chopping block if nazi parties try to organize on my website? Like for real life meetups?

Lawyer with an MBA here, your site is subject to your own rules. Just no CP, selling drugs, or plotting real life terrorist style attacks.

There are a number of other image boards that do raid and stalk people mercilessly.

You're site shouldn't be overtly advocating brigading, but allow the users to organize that on their own.

It wouldn't advocate anything. Imagine a board where users vote on implementing new rules, like banning nametags or hillary shills, and the moderators would do so. Then later maybe they repeal that rule.

Thank you user. Why is it that Sup Forums is getting more faggy then if not for social or legal conformity? People get banned for fuck all based on obscure rules

You will find a hard time supporting it.

The reason why moot went turncoat cuck on us is because they shut down Sup Forums in early 2004 and stole his paypal donations. They froze him out of advertising dollars to by claiming the site wasn't fit (but degenerate porno sites are okay). That's how they controlled him.

If you make a site, you will be hunted.

Sup Forums is getting faggy cuz the moderators have an agenda to push and they also have a really broad interpretation of the site rules.

I think the site voting feature and allowing mods in during your start up period is a bad idea. You should wait to see who sticks around and then slowly grow a small well vetted group of mods to handle shills. Like lolcow did. The mods have a zero tolerance policy for any shilling, even if they end up banning innocent people. It's awesome.

whats the domain name faget

>voting
Hello R-E-D-D-I-T

That is true with any patriot that goes against the narrative.

But there are many laws on the books now that put you on a list for hosting such a site and allow various government entities to access it and come after you. They probably won't bother you unless you get big though, the other image boards are never fucked with cuz they are too small.

How are you gonna host the site exactly? Moot could barely pay the cost to run his server in the early years.

Also, OP. I will partner with you. I'm making an anonymous media site to replace the MSM now that it's totally dead.

It will be called glyphy, and will have a lot in common with early Sup Forums. Pic related is my design inspiration.

When your shit is up and running, come find me.

The demand for alternative media is so high right now, you will get drowned out by everyone else doing that.

Not done. It's still indexed in local css, htm, etc. files. I haven't bought a domain name yet because I still need to hire an artist to create non-crappy images for buttons and picture links.
When it gets finished, you homos will be the first to know.

Good. I'll fly under the radar.

I'll have a strong base from the intellectual spheres on Sup Forums and Sup Forums who have known this project was coming for ages, and secret club text boards where the oldfags lurk.

Also if OP pulls off his political site, we can tag team the world into submission.

I can't disclose how the moderators are chosen for fear of losing my idea to someone else before it's finished, but it won't be random. Nor will it be application based. Nor reddit based like with popularity or however that system works.

More or less what I would like to see in this rise of new media is talented journalists working together in a unified platform that is made up of smaller new media sites dedicated to covering specific topics in depth.

Also, I'd like to see a lot more field reporting like what Dhaboo7 does.

The voting is for rules that will be volatile. You can call it reddit but if a rule to ban self proclaimed faggots gets passed I doubt Reddit would enjoy the comparison between our sites.

I have a decent job and few bills. I would fund it myself in the beginning. I have an idea for in house transaction that would be 100% cosmetic but I am torn between implementing such a aspect because that's not the point of the website.

As someone with Native American ancestry that pic is offensive.

y-you already have us user, don't you ? ;-;

I will. The website I have in mind is 100% political though. An imageboard like Sup Forums but expanded into an entire website with many functioning democratic elements that shape it and keep it fluid over time.

It's your site and you also have multiple boards or whatever to beta test ideas.

I grew up using Sup Forums. But I imagine a place where you can say "gas the Jews" and actually pass a rule to ban Israeli posters at the same time. A magical place that is self governing yet not anarchist.

Mmh. Will be pretty interresting, k-keep us posted.

sauce?

I know. I'm very ethically driven though while I create it. Things that make sense but rob the site, even a little, from what it's about bothers me. It's why despite Sup Forums still containing and allowing degeneracy, they have been adding more and more rules and the interpretation of these rules have become more vague. I want a website with a constitution promising never to deviate.

I collect a lot of WEBM's for no reason. This one was unmarked so i posted it to see what it was. I have no idea what anime that is either.

Your site rules are essentially your constitution. Most of the added rules on this image board were in response to new boards that do new things.

Have you toured other image boards? Lolcow used to have this chatroom feature that was pretty neat. It had custom meme emoji macros and an embedded youtube playlist that users could add links for everyone else to watch. That would be great for a happening thread

There will be a chatroom feature. It will be limited to real or fictional parties you align with.

How will the structuring work?

traditional Sup Forums thread OP + replies?
or something else?

I always wanted to build upon this formula concerning internet discussions and ideaflows.

One very dumb and abstract model I've come up with would be more focused around the replies. Like the OP's would generate themselves, perhaps encompassing idea bubbles, and then users can just contribute to already existing idea-bubbles. Then, as an intelligence skims through the posts, new bubbles are created from the posts and content relative to the old bubbles.

Think Sup Forums but with OPs generated from learned, crawled, or heuristic information.

It's a surprise but it will say that depending on how "politics" fluctuate the board will change in identity on the main page.

This website is essentially a country.

Well isn't Sup Forums the best exemple of an Anarchist society ?

You cannot change anything on this site. Only brigade other websites. It's a containment site where the individual has no power despite being responsible for all the culture appropriated by websites such as 9gag.

Are you gonna use vichan? tinychan? or make it from the ground up?

I have been into this idea for a year or so.

If you need help count me in, i can also create an api for an app so we can shitpost from our mobile phones.

There should be user capacities based on the chatroom. A happening room gets unlimited while a room discussing something technical gets a smaller room.

Some rooms should be password protected or view only unless given permission like a CFG room or a wikileaks document dump that really needs to be sorted by lawyers

Why would you crate a new chan when you have plenty of them? Small chances of success.

Unless you plan to twist it somehow. Like, create a strictly political chan with country-specific boards + international. That could be cool, actually.

ground up. Once I get a solid foundation I can start getting more professionals to help me optimize. It's not going to be a basic image board. It's a political website where users are treated like citizens. It's really abstract right now and I'm struggling to decide on features that might need to be removed. It is also anonymous, but like user names on Sup Forums, you can create an ID. The functionality of IDs is also a position im iffy about. I want them to enable representation but not at the expense that people would feel like they need one to use the website.

Inou Battle

General chatrooms will be those that align with democrat, republican, etc. Invite chatrooms will be those such as The Pornography Industry Party. Which would need to be created by users obviously. It will not be a default. Personal chatrooms will not be allowed and starting memberships need to reach a certain point to be legitimized.
Once legitimized, side boards representing said party can be created that will have rules dictated by the founder. Such as, if he wants to archive and sticky whatever, he can. He can also assign other members of his party to be moderators for that specific board.

bingo. Just replace country boards with parties.

I like how Sup Forums does ID's, it makes it so much easier to follow an AMA. But ID's should vary by IP address and from thread to thread. There shouldn't be an account you have to make either.

If anyone has any other Ideas or features i'm writing them down.

Party-boards? On the one hand this would slightly minimize inside wars and butthurt, on the other hand it would be either "USA only guys" or a million boards with small communities quickly dying out. Better go for country-specific, party inclusive boards desu

Upload image/media increased to a max of 4 on regular boards and 8 on porn boards

>Various colored text commands

Flags that specify American states as a site default

The robot script to use on CTR shills if we get invaded

Thread aggregator feature to combat CTR shills

Varying the thread capacity a board can have based on user traffic

A board nobody can post new threads in unless the mods move a new thread there from another board. Like threads that are particularly noteworthy

Have you been to s4s?

No, I haven't.

>>/s4s/

It's pretty much an entire board of GETs and making up memes for the mods to sticky

The main page would look similar to Sup Forums. Side user created boards would need to maintain a userbase to stay alive. These side boards could be political parties but they can also be anything. Such as a Poland Representative Party. They talk about Poland issues and share slav memes. Another could be The Investigation Party that attracts those interested in happenings and looking into Hillary's bullshit. If the people who created the board fall to the wayside the board gets replaced. There will only be so many slots but I will expand the number if all slots manage to stay relevant. You can think of them as super general threads.

Oh boy, another chan! We needed yet another!

It's a political website shaped by users. The only similarity is the nature of sharing news. But even that is revised a great deal but I can't go into it.

Dont use php

There will be moderators and super moderators.
Moderators have the ability to enforce laws put in place by users. Super moderators are application based and ONLY deal with removing drug content, terrorist threats, and CP. They will not supervise or enforce user created rules. Users will govern themselves. If a law is passed to condemn shill, they will go after them. There are checks and balances in place but I cant reveal them right now in order to preserve my idea until its finished.

Sounds cool. Be sure to advertise it properly once you make it. I'd gladly try it out.

I will advertise it to Sup Forums first. Normies would not fully appreciate the capacity for harassment right off the bat. They would probably want to advocate for laws that ban the letter j or some stupid shit for shits and giggles.

As someone with leaf ancestry that flag is offensive.

or you could set up a site on the darknet markets and sell all the drugs you want

DELET THIS

.onion address i mean

I have a lot of ideas but not the time to pursue any of them. Use anything I've seen here that you think would be beneficial to a free speech forum

or we could use that new dark website roblox.com

It already exists. It's called reddit.

The trigger happy censorship practices over there beg to differ.

Reddit would be a decent site if it had anonymous posting and no karma. Identity and karma/reputation systems are libtard lures. That's why Reddit, Tumbler, Facebook, Twitter and other shitty social media have such horrible communities. Remove permanent identity and reputation systems and liberalism dies out.
