VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE 8 NON-LYNCH DIRECTED EPISODES

I fucked up, I'm so sorry.

youtube.com/watch?v=EiqCQvkM_pk

What do you guy's think of this Blue Velvet inspired song? I usually can't stand rap but holy fuck It's actually pretty good.

Which is your favorite Dale Cooper thumbs up moment?

S02E09 is the objectively correct answer

Nope, overrated as fucking hell. S02E06 is a much better episode. So is literally any episode from Season 1.

But, y'know more power to you if you enjoy the hamfisted, and laughably contrived ways in which that investigation comes to a close, the gum, the ring, the roadhouse. Genuinely awful.

Leland's death is really well acted but it's a terrible thing they did, making Leland out to be the victim, undermining the incest and abuse side to the story. Glad FWWM exists.

>making Leland out to be the victim
He literally was you idiot. It was Bob that did the raping. Pay attention!

twitter.com/Kyle_MacLachlan/status/913089304062189568

Why is Kyle so perfect?

Not him but it’s pretty clear that FWWM blurs the line between how responsible Leland and BOB were for Laura’s abuse. The series makes it seem way more like Leland was pretty much totally innocent in all of it, whereas the movie implies that may not be the case.

>like Leland was pretty much totally innocent in all of it, whereas the movie implies that may not be the case
how so? it's always been implied that it's been bob that did the evil stuff.

It's all fun and games until Lynch gives you neutropenia.

...

I’m guessing you’ve watched FWWM right? In general, the stuff like getting on her about her hands / necklace at dinner, banging prostitutes, acting weird in the car, etc. was all when Leland was in control of himself, at most BOB might have been influencing him but it wasn’t like S2 when his hair went white and BOB was totally in control.

In the train car he also tells her “I always thought you knew it was me”, which is somewhat ambiguous but I always interpreted that as Leland thinking Laura knew he was raping her, rather than knowing she was seeing BOB until the rape scene in FWWM.

Dgeoui get funny taste coffee

The Fourth Seasons will never happen, lynch will die before making it happen
>b-but he still has time

yeah, they said the same thing about harry dean Stanton. Look what happened.
>b-but lynch is a healthy man

yeah, just look at the most recent directors who passed away
>Wes Craven - age 76
>Tobe Hooper - age 74
>George A. Romero - age 77
>Jonathan Demme - age 73

all dead in his 70s. David Lynch is in his 70s. Lynch said it took them a long time to write and direct season 3. Season 4 is not going to happen. At least with Lynch. Frost is younger than him, so he might take over. But not with Lynch, forget about it. That was his swan song.

Going from the season 1 finale, straight into this one is a magical thing. The season 1 finale is like soap pastiche overload, every scene is a cliffhanger it's almost comical (but impressive) how far Frost takes it, everything ends on one and given the brisk action pacing of the episode and its lack of mood, going into the continuation is jarring in the best possible way.

The first 18 minutes of the season 2 premiere is god tier. There's just something beautiful about the fact that the season 2 premiere follows through on the hot milk Cooper ordered before getting shot in the most unpredictable fashion

Where are my Tammy bros at?

NON-EXISTENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing worse than nigger music is pseudo-intellectual nigger music

DOgeui juggle apple

I wasn't racist until I moved in a country (and city) full of niggers

what the fuck is wrong with black people? why don't they behave like everyone else?

literally no complaints about whites, asians, even latinos but blacks are fucking savages

Let’s not turn this into a Sup Forums thread, Sup Forums already has enough of that

>his hair went white and bob was totally in control
Oh is that why that happened

*resuscitates tpg*

The consensus I’ve always seen (and agreed with) is once Leland’s hair turns white, BOB is pretty much fully in control of him. His grief and guilt goes away, he’s way more manic, etc. Before that, BOB is mostly “with” Leland like he was with Mr. C in S3, in that he probably somewhat influenced him to be evil in general but not to the extreme that he was once his hair went white in S2.

That would lead credence to the idea that Leland isn’t totally innocent in FWWM. Sure, he’s got an evil spirit in him, but it’s not fully in control and even then, we’ve seen people resist BOB’s influence like Laura and Mr.C. I think one of the big themes of FWWM is Lynch analysing this.

Is there anything more special snowflake and attention whorish that pretending to like David Lynch's work?

Don't @me, just think about it

...

Posting on the final /tpg/ (:

doing your mum

Bros, how do we stop this horrible abuser?

How long can this go on?
How long can this go on?

WTF is that Kyle on the right of Sheryl??? Don’t tell me Lynch made him abuse her too

Guess who's more used to the abuse...

Kyle is just a pawn on Lynch's abusive mind.

Sheryl can't be saved anymore, she's pimping his TM cult right now, even after the neutropenia incident.

Kyle has got a chance to leave.

Sneaky Woody lol

twitter.com/kyle_maclachlan/status/634898436697886720?lang=en

It goes even deeper user, Lynch likely has had Kyle’s whole family in on abusing Sheryl so none of them can squeal without blowing the lid off all of them

Spot the abused.

>that time when dale was fired from the fbi

that's when tp jumped the shark

Excuse me?

>ywn whisk her far away from Lynch’s claws and live out an idyllic existence together

buy my book

OD hgoiknjew

Dubs and Sheryl Lee is already dead and Lynch is using a body double / lookalike to further his schemes

So, tell me /tpg/. What exactly goes down at the sheriff's station in E17? Would it be safe to assume that is the series as we know it ending, and the 3 conscious people waking up from the dream? I believe that is what the superimposed face of Coop means.

LEE’d

David Lynch will kill Sheryl Lee
Repeating digits confirm

future Coop realizes he fucked up and remembers the timeline he deleted.

CUTE can never dir!

this whole show is a scam, an """abused""" woman doesn't get killed, she becomes a prostitute/porn star and gets a lot of money thanks to her indecency, and literally asks you to be rough in bed

iamgien if you met Sheryl haha and then shook her hand and told her you loved her work wouldn't that just be quacking creazy haha

I want to lick the sweat off of her face.

This was supposed to foreshadow her death right?

The imprint is her body?

GORDON?

COOP!

>COOPER
>Sheriff, a picture is forming. Big axe on the couch. These same geese were flying that evening.

>COOPER points to a display of metal geese figures hanging on the wall behind TRUMAN. >SHERIFF TRUMAN turns around to look at them.

What did he mean by that?

I agree but the video he posted doesn't seem like its trying to be intellectual at all

Sorry mark. I voted everything in season 1 exept yours and the Miss twin peaks one and a few more from the early season 2.

Can anyone here provide me with some stills of some cool landscape shots from season 3?

I hate Donna so fucking much. Watching the season 2 premiere now, and the way her characterization was thrown out makes her so much worse.

Why couldn't she be like Moira Kelly played her. Jesus, what an insufferable cunt to have to look at. The bad girl routine as well, I bet that was the actress demanding they rewrite her.

...

...

I thought LFB did a great job in season one, but yeah in S2 they made Donna a total cunt. All of a sudden she’s a bad girl smoking out of nowhere? Even if you want to say it was caused by her friend’s death, why such a delayed reaction? She was so cunty to Maddy too, even though her and James’ relationship started evolving due to Donna not being around and thus James bonded with Maddy instead. S2 Donna was garbage, I can see why Lynch didn’t bring her back into play for S3 even beyond anything to do with LFB

...

Got any of some cityscapes? I'm particularly fond of how David captures western America but unfortunately he didn't pull out much during the Odessa episode

These are great so far though thank you keep em coming

dunno if I have any cityscapes, i'll look though
i def have some stuff from 18 though

...

Or just urban-y stuff in general. Like the one you just posted here

holy shit what episode is this from? I do not remember this

i think its from the first red episode

...

...

holy shit that squeal that shelly does when bobe reaches in to grab her tit

...

...

>delayed reaction

season 2 is set less than a day from season 1.

...

...

She did alright in season 1, I still don't find her character particularly interesting but she was much better for sure.

I still feel like Moira Kelly did a better job, and that's what I wanted her character to be like on the show.

Is blue velvet suitable to watch with my family?

Yes and I recommend a double feature of FWWM with your dad as well

hehe I actually watched FWWM with my dad

>mfw Atmospherics 2.0

Please, God

I know, I mean delayed reaction as in how it was like a week after Laura died. Obviously people don’t process things instantly, but it’s still a weird whiplash how all of a sudden in the S2 premiere she’s trying to act all dark and sexy.

I’ve been rewatching the show now that S3 is over and I just brought it up because I enjoyed LFB’s performance (in the first season) more than I remembered. She did a good job having a tenderness after her friend’s death while also starting to mature and wanting to solve the case. Of course it was all downhill in S2, but if she had stayed the course she was on I think she’d be remembered more fondly.

Forgot to respond to the second part, I do like Kelly a lot too but they’re almost two different characters between the show and movie honestly. Moira Kelly is way more demure and mousy, acting like an emotional leash for Laura. That works well for the movie to have a base for Laura to protect, but in the show she’s much more of an equal to Laura (though obviously not as much as she thinks) than being so pure and innocent like the movie version.
