It brought postmodernism into the mainstream of cinema. It was also one of the first independent films to be a monster hit.
Is this the Sup Forums equivalent of some newfag posting a picture from Evangelion and saying "I don't get it"?
nope, completely agree with you it's overated shite.
you are too dumb to enjoy it,. I could sit here and explain to you why its good, but even most people who like the film are too dumb to know why they like it
I felt the same about Citizen Bane. I'm not expert or anything but I guess you need to contextualize different eras and shieeeeeet.
This film was trash and the only purpose of it was to make you watch a gay porn fantasy scene. I'm convinced Tarantino is a gay pervert. There's another gay fantasy scene i his hateful hate movie. That's a bit too much and I didn't watch any other movie of him because he sucks. I'm pretty sure he paraded his young jewish girlfriend to stop the rumours.
Nice try, but Roger Avary wrote PF.
He didn't go to film school so he doesn't know anything about plotting or pacing. So he just cut the story into several vignettes.. Wa La something not seen before, he's a genius

>Look! I hate good things and love bad things! Am I cool yet? Give me (you)s!
no
>Wa La something not seen before, he's a genius
He was inspired by a 1950 Japanese film from one of his favorite directors that introduced the concept, common knowledge.
Derivative fedoracore, next.
Le Dernier Combat,
midget with Key to something important is kept locked in the trunk of a car until they need the key.
>No new IDs with this post
Someone's buttmad.
>brought postmodernism into the mainstream of cinema
That was New Hollywood starting in the late 60s you pleb
Pulp Fiction just had unique dialog, complicated chronology and Tarantino style. Hence the raves. Good movie, Tarantino as a whole is way overrated though imo
>Am I missing something?
Yes, a reddit account. Only redditors like this flick. Congrats, OP, you may belong here.
What's "reddit" and why are some of you so obsessed with it?
I obviously implied that I wasn't a fan of it you illiterate faggot.
very accurate
The casting/acting made pulp fiction. It had a great ensemble cast that all somehow gave the best performances of their careers
>Big trouble in little China
>Fedoracore
Kill you are self
I know, which is why I was saying that you're missing a reddit account, implying that you're clearly not a redditor. You do have poor reading comprehension though.
Jackie Brown is Tarrantino's best movie
What's "reddit" and why won't you shut up about it?
And He didn't write it???
>And He didn't write it???
Is this true? What the actual FUCK
300 fedora core? Nobody that liked pulp fiction would enjoy that pleb tier movie
Who made this shit?
so you have no idea either basically.
>Le royale with cheese
If you can't see why this movie is reddit, you're clearly enlightened by your own intelligence.
It's mostly dialogue and characters that are top-tier. The story is irrelevant.
Based on a book
>so all the character development and plot points were already in place.
was all I meant
I don't know what "reddit" is. Why are you so obsessed with it?
Marvin failed to inform Jules and Vince of the Bathroom Guy and caused the shootout and "Devine Intervention", which also causes the conversation in the car which made Vince turn around and face/shoot Marvin
The reason that Wallace has a dick in his ass is because Butch's dad had the watch up his ass
thats part of it
Did butch key Vince's car?
That's why you liked it?
yes, its hinted right before butch kills Vince, he uses his key to get back in his apartment, and you see many keymarks on his door knob
the way that every action has a reaction is one of the reasons I like it.
What's the reaction to Bunny and the junkie robbing a restaurant?
Should have just stuck to Batman vs Superman
it's Jules first step on his new path of not being a hitman. He decides not to kill them, and its his first "test". The fact that he manages to do this and end the situation non-violently, while still keeping the suitcase further convinced him to quit the business.
Vince however, is severely punished by Jule's choice to quit, since Jules isnt with him later on when watching Butch's apartment, and leads to his Vince's death
So in the end, Marvin's failure to perform his job as an informant to Vince and jules leads to his own death and Vince's death
wow so it turns out most film classics aren't that interesting or deep! I've always been told iconic pieces of cinema like alien, pulp fiction and blade runner are timeless and top quality, but why does it feel suddenly like they're kind of mediocre?
It's almost like society needs a bunch of token movies from quite a few years ago to tell themselves they're the best they've produced, ignoring the fact that they're just products of their time that were marketed the right way or had the most noisy following and that's everything that's remarkable about them
and wow, this seems to happen with music too. the beatles, nirvana, queen, they're all godly pieces of art right? but why do they sound so underwhelming and generic all of a sudden? have I been lied to all these years?
no but seriously, this is like, babby's first red pill
Who said I'm obsessed with it?
DUDE LE ROYALE WITH CHEESE! DUDE LE DOES HE LOOK LIKE A LE BITCH! XDDD DUDE LE OUT OF PLACE RANDOM BDSM SCENE!
No, you're not missing anything. It's a hackish overrated piece of crap.
It was edgy, chronologically different, had solid but onorthodox dialogue and was just different. I think it's a good film but not in my fave list.
And it has solid acting lest i forget*
...
Thanks based god for that, tarantino can't be gay
no gay sex scene in Jackie Brown
>I have shit taste and I'm proud of it because it makes me stand out from the herd
Only type of shitpost that consistently triggers me. Reactionary is a term tainted by a century of Marxist nonsense but it totally applies here. I hope you're underage
I like most of these movies. Am I a fedoracore ?
>most
Yes
Seriously who doesn't like 300
you 'just watched' it last week as well. i remember the same thread
