Pretty great episode, actually

Also, end credits don't outright specify voice actor for Scrooge McDuck, so which one of these actors voiced him?

Maybe Kassir?

>giving a shit about shorts animated by Koreans

These are animated by Mercury Filmworks, in Canada.

So animation even worse than Koreans. That doesn't make it any better.

Nah, this Scrooge has a Scottish accent, i think. Skip to 7:15 to see him

The animation in these shorts is great, nigga. You're missing out.

They aren't. If animation from 20 years ago looks better, you have a serious problem.

>animation quality used to be universally better meme

cherrypicking

What you posted looks vastly inferior to selections of animation from 20 years earlier, too.

Thanks for the link. All the Disney channels here wait a whole week before airing anything new.

>The treats!

Of course that would be the part Minnie focuses on.

But it is true.
Nothing today even stands a chance against most golden age animation. It's pathetic.

Yeah fuck ya cunt. This series actually makes cutout animation fun and interesting. Piss off.

Kill yourself

>an anime nigger
You fucks always run the animation threads.

...

You sound like a boring person

>those copy-paste faces on Huey, Duey, and Louie

I know they're triplets, but c'mon.

The music in this special is so good.

Perfect timing with this joke too.

But trolls make threads fun :^)

It's definitely Kassir. You can slightly make out it's him if you listen carefully.

Thanks for uploading this, based user.

You're comparing television animation to theatrical shorts?

That's like comparing Moana to the Flintstones and drawing the conclusion that old animation was terrible.

Is there more art of that Minnie? I need it for reasons.

>no winter weight for Minnie

Shame.

That's a completely different style

well, that was shit.

>alan young voiced scrooge in this very series

...

It's supposed to be like that

When do they usually upload these to their youtube channel?

>when the kush hits

"Ooh, you'll like this. I bought six new bikinis!"

God damn, Daisy.

>That Scrooge voice

It's good. It just isn't the same though.

Everzthing that was made after the 1940s is shit, and whoever likes any of it must be killed

and thus you admitted you are wrong

I agree. I mean, he'll grow into the role, find his own particular vocal tics and mannerisms.

But there's nothing like the original.

obviously

two different people will never be the same

hello famicom

>Mercury Filmworks
>Animation Studio – Ottawa, Ontario Canada
>Tangled (Season 1)
>Mickey Mouse (Seasons 1 to 3)
>Star vs. the Forces of Evil (Season 1)

Damn, based leaf.
This animation studio is really good at 2d digital drawing.
Too bad I can find little information about them on internet.
I need making videos of these cartoons and something like that.

Yeah, it's a shame the old guy for Scrooges voice died. I'm glad the new VA is going their own way instead of trying to do a poor imitation of the original.

Just have to get used to it.

Really this. Another based user, man.
The '30s and '40s are the most remarkable era for hand-drawn animation.
I'll never get tired of watching those well-animated shorts such as Mickey, Donald, Silly Symphonies.
Weebs really have a shitty eye for animation, their liking is worst.

Technically the original was the guy who did Audubon Woodhouse.

Go watch Sport Goofy. You'll appreciate this one more.

...

Porn when?

>Comparing a single episode OVA to a TV show in its third season

might as well compare The Loud House to The Thief and The Cobbler.

New Ducktales staff member said this Scrooge isn't their guy.

You faggots need to leave the thread forever. Obsessing over a half second throwaway gag for countless unrelated threads for over a fucking year.

This is why animators don't pander to female weight gain fans, it attracts the stupidest, most autistic waifufags.

It is indeed John Kassir doing him.

You'll notice that the episode they obsess over was all about Pluto getting fat, but we haven't had gay fags shoving their kink in the thread uninvited.

Adopting a fake accent isn't a new thing when it comes to acting

It's a bad idea to *pander* to any fetish. It was just a joke.

Yeah, it's awkward at first but I think it's a nice transition and a nice way to reveal the new cast

Did you know Porky Pig was played by at least 5 different people over the course of Tiny Toon Adventures?

I always imagined that Mickey's penis was a stubby chode that looked a lot like his snout, and his testicles looked like his ears, with the same perspective cheat applied to them so they always appear to face the same way.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
I hope the new Duck Tales won't be drawn like that. It is low compared to the original.

Obviously not, this is the Mickey Mouse series's art style.

The old Ducktales cartoon utterly pales in comparison to the Barks and Rosa comics. It has its moments, but it's not anywhere near the legendary status it acquired through borrowing Scrooge. I have great expectations of the new series, as it's actually drawing direct inspiration from the comics, which the old series seldom did.

>Featuring new Duck Tales cast
Is there shared continuity?

I have all the Don Rosa book from the French collection. Worth every cent put into it. I got to met the guy to sign them for me and I can tell Don Rosa is really really nice guy.

People laught when they see the whole Scrooge collection put I just don't care, I am 28, I read Scrooge and I am proud of it.

Probably not, these shorts themselves don't really have shared continuity

.. meaning?

Much respect. I'd have loved to get to meet him.

Not him

But it'd mean that OP is wrong and that the person playing Scrooge in this short (John Kassir) will not be doing him in the new Ducktales series.

Anyone able to confirm this?

suspendersofdisbelief.tumblr.com/post/154092282121/will-duck-the-halls-give-us-a-chance-to-hear-the

The reason Alan Young was so good at Scrooge is because he was legit Scottish and the accent was natural.

I don't want a Scrooge that sounds like Groundskeeper Willie; an American stressing what they think a Scot sounds like.

On top of that, it's very apparent that the nephews in this short are still played by Russi Taylor

Well that bites, I guess we won't know until it comes out, seeing as they haven't teased any of the new cast (be it names or soundbytes).

Because I actually kind of liked John's Scrooge, it'll never compare to Alan's, but it's good on its own merits.

That webm isn't even particularly great animation
You're confusing art style for animation
Don't get me wrong, it's pretty good, but it's not necessarily any better or more suited for it's art style than the animation for the mickey shorts is for it's

Damn, Disney's usually really good at keeping their actors consistent (up until Mickey's last VA passed in 09)

Poor John Kassir. He seems to always get the shaft in the VA industry.

>Picked up Buster Bunny in the last season of Tiny Toons and only played him for a few episodes
>Picked up Pete Puma only because Stan Freberg was a 95 year-old man and couldn't talk anymore
>Voiced Ice King in the AT pilot and got recast by Tom Kenny who is in fuckin everything
>Filler voice for Scrooge because Alan Young's dead and the REAL replacement wasn't cast yet

Being John Kassir is suffering. He may not even voice the Crypt Keeper in the Tales from the Crypt reboot, apparently.

The thick-lines just doesn't sit well with me for some reason in these new Mickey shorts - it reminds me of flash.

He didn't even get to be Pete in that DVD-Looney Tunes Show spinoff Rabbit Run or w/e

I liked the Amanda Show quite a bit when I was younger, so I would have been really happy for him getting a juicy, long-time role like this.

>He didn't even get to be Pete in that DVD-Looney Tunes Show spinoff Rabbit Run or w/e

Shit I meant to tack that onto the Pete Puma bit. Yeah.

Met Kassir at the Alamo City Comic Con in 2014. Super fuckin nice guy and likes talking to his fans. But outside of the Crypt Keeper, he always seems to fall just short of landing bigtime roles.

And his super model wife divorced him. Most of his Tales from the Crypt nest egg probably went to alimony.

Dont forget
>played Deadpool in one game before directors loved Nolan North's take more

Also

>Played the Joker... in DC Superfriends animated short packed in with toys and never anything more legit

God, he can't catch a break.

You realize how much that Ducktales cost?
That was the make it or break it for Disney animation on tv so they went all out.

>we officially live in a post-Alan Young Scrooge world

Obviously I'm glad the character is still relevant but fuck man

It's amazing he was with us as long as he was.

I wonder if it's a problem with management or if they don't want to hold up the production of various projects to find the right voices.

bout time we got a new one of these

Oh the bright side, they had the foresight not to cast him in the current cartoon because there was such a high chance of this happening. It would have been worse if they had to replace him halfway through recording.

His time was coming, user

so will June Foray

It's crazy that June Foray outlived two generations of men who played Sylvester and Tweety.

For all we know, they did replace him halfway through recording. They would just re-record those lines with the new actor.

why does she start to cry then stop?

We knew Alan Young wasn't going to be Scrooge in this new cartoon even before he died.

My mistake, then.

>as it's actually drawing direct inspiration from the comics

Is this confirmed? I mean, they brought Donald back, but there is also Webby in the promo art.

It's going to take inspiration from everything Duck.

It's going to be a blast as long as they don't spend too much focus on the neo-nephews and Webby, which is a very real danger.

Met him a few months ago as well for the first time and had my first album I bought from the collection back in 1999 signed. Did he bring his tray of homegrown peppers when you met him? I was allowed to snag a bagful of them when I said I really liked hot peppers, and boy do these things hit the palate!

It /is/ flash. Very obviously so.

Glad Scrooge's VA voiced in this before his passing

Toon Boom, it's a bit better

Sorry user

>WOW DONALD! YOU LOOK LIKE DEATH!

That got a hearty KeK outta me.
