A good horror movie should be actually scary. Just watched this. Not scary at all. Anyone who actually thought this was scary is an idiot or a child.

Good acting, costume design, and cinematography, but not frightening in the least. Plot was completely predictable. No suspension of disbelief.

It was Marvel-tier

so its official, the cycle has relapsed and Sup Forums hate it now?

true WB kino

Who cares. It was what it needs to be . The source material is a bit retarded. I'm not interested in seeing the next chapter desu mostly because it won't include sexy ass bev and she'll be a roastie now

Incorrect. IT isn't a straight horror film. The kids are the main focus and bring a large amount of comedy and humanity to the movie. Even when you remove the horror elements, it's still a good coming of age film, and that's why it succeeds.

We've established that all of the people shilling this are teens

It's not supposed to be scary anyways.

I still love it.

I don't think there's a single horror movie in history that has ever been frightening to a grown adult male.

hey OP we plebs are in need of your guidance. Do tell what are the actually scary movies?

Antichrist

OP here. Try pic related for starters. Not perfect, but genuinely frightening even to an adult on first watch.

No its not scary. But it is a good movie.

Cool. None of the old horror movies are scary either.

If you're over the age of twelve and legitimately get scared at a horror movie you're definitely a pussy and more than likely a retard. Good horror movies are more than just being scared.

What's going on here?

I'm not scared of movies because I'm over the age of 13.

I hate when I get easy mode answers.

It had some very well done scary moments. I watched it, got jolted a few times, rolled my eyes a few times, and slept like a baby because I'm an adult. It was still pretty good though, and scary enough. I'm pretty sure I could get through the exorcist without a single butthole puckering

The new chucky is better

>implying Sup Forums ever liked this shit
>implyiing this board isn't flooded with shills pulling of the same spiel like (((they))) do over at reddet
wew lad

>what is torture porn for 20 schmekkels

Who has the link to the "look at the top of his head" meme with penny wise?

Does anyone have a screenshot of those three doors labeled Scary, Very Scary and Not Scary At All? Asking for a friend.

It's not horror though, it's kids adventure movie

We always loved it, redditors trying to fit in by being edgy do not represent this board

I watched it and it wasn't scary at all. One uneasy moment and that's about it. The rest was almost laughable

Quick, someone name a horror movie that is genuinely scary to an adult male!

How can movies be scary? Its all fake.

...

the strangers

the only reason i still love it is because the redhead is hot as fuck

There's no reason to not like it. It's an objectively well made movie and I'm excited for part 2, especially after hearing all the stuff that's been confirmed for it

She's 15 brah

No you huge fag, the point is to be entertaining. Only a man child or teen could find a movie “scary.”

...

I meant Pennywise , not that little bitch.

its scrazy

even my 13 year old sister thought it was shit and not scary/corny.

>inb4 pedofags

kill yourselves your taste is so shit even a teenage girl has superior opinions than you

>movie adaptation of a famous book
>predictable

Is your sister hot?

irrelevant, pedofag. the more important thing is you faggots were scared by a movie that a 13 year old girl found corny and stupid.

Is that a yes?

Why as teenagers is it acceptable to find other teenagers and adults attractive but when we are adults we still find adults attractive but get labeled as a pedos and mentally ill for finding teenagers attractive?

>a good horror movie should be scary
Although I don't disagree, horror is a genre. As such, horror is a very loose way to define a movie. For example, Poltergeist is a horror movie, but it isn't particularly scary, at least no more than It is. On that note, Monster Squad is even less scary and caters in some part to kids. Then you have movies like Rosemary's Baby where the scares are downplayed in favor of creating a generally uncomfortable atmosphere. So either way, It that shit is a fantastic movie through and through. And even then some parts were fairly spooky.
The build up in the basement scene was good.

nah it's a good film as a coming of age story, bad as a horror. felt more like an action/thriller horror

He didn't watch it on cinema with a girl next to him

Come to Sup Forums 15 years from now. A bunch of guys will say they saw IT when they were kids and it scared the logs out of their asses. Trust me. You're a grown man, if movies still scare you, you're just a mama's boy faggot.

Traci Lords did her first porno when she was 15.

Tim Curry's Pennywise is legitimately more creepy. The new ones looks like a fucking rodent when he speaks.

>Come to Sup Forums 15 years from now.
No, fuck that. Someone needs to put a stop to Sup Forums

You'll be here. We all float down here in Sup Forums. We never leave.

>Anyone who actually thought this was scary is an idiot or a child.
Anyone who's scared by a movie about a killer clown is a child, period.

If you need someone to explain this to you you're mentally retarded, not mentally ill
