Vanellope

The first song is just generic disney song of girl singing about wanting more in life

Second one no one is gonna like since no kids are gonna be able to sing the words

You're Welcome is gonna be the Let it Go of this movie, just watch. That's a fucking cut right there

>You're Welcome is gonna be the Let it Go of this movie, just watch. That's a fucking cut right there

> Not shiny

I liked it but didn't love it. It was tame; nothing too special.

But then, I thought Frozen was a shit story and only had its gorgeous CGI to fall back on... but then it became one of the most popular things ever, so what do I know.

I like it. It's up there with Beauty and the Beast in my favourite Disney musicals.
The music's particularly great, though How Far I'll Go was a bit uninspiring.

Newsflash, this movie doesn't have a Let It Know.

If it did you would have started hearing it on the radio like a month before the film opened, not months later.

It didn't really feel like there was any rise and give to the song. Just the same theme three times and done. The reprise with the granny felt more wholesome, but too short to be a song proper, too.

IMO, it's a cute song, it just doesn't seem like a complete song.

>posting How Far I'll Go and You're Welcome, the pop nothing songs for the movie
>not posting the amazing ensemble: youtube.com/watch?v=NVzDrqOmYiY
>not posting David Bowie crab: youtube.com/watch?v=dQzAi-a9Bv8
What's wrong with you OP?

How Far I'll Go is 100% the "Let it Go" pop single for this movie. They even gave it a shitty pop remaster with a Disney Channel star that sounds a million times worse than the movie version for radio play. It just doesn't have the same impact.

>The reprise with the granny felt more wholesome
Technically that's a different song borrowing How Far I'll Go as a little motif. That's "I am Moana."

The music in this movie is leaps and bounds above Tangled and Princess and the Frog. I'm still not sure if I like this soundtrack or Frozen's more, though I will say Where You Are is easily my favorite song from either movie.

AWE AWEEEEEE

i liked it but some of the songs felt forced, and some of the lyrics were really, really weak.

like in "how far I go"

"everybody on this ISLAND has a rule on this ISLAND"

"WHAT'S BEYOND THAT LINE WILL I CROSS THAT LINE"

like cmon now

Movie wasn't awful but not amazing either. To me it felt like the least "adult-friendly" Disney movie in a long time. Also Maui's first song was absolutely atrocious.

Maui only had one song
and it was good

all about Brown people, disqualified and uninteresting to the asian box office.

That's what happens when you hire a flavor of the month songwriter. Hamilton, though I enjoyed it, was pure luck and LMM is going to ride on that success for the rest of his life.

yeah that's the thing, the rest of the song was pretty okay, those couple of lines just completely fuck it up

/thread

Brave had better music and songs.

>little motif

user, side from granny's little bit at the start, the song is all "How Far I'll Go," not just a small motif. I like both songs well enough, but I wouldn't really count them as two different songs entirely.

she was the only bad thing about that movie though

Neither.

>tangledfags still exist
It's the worst disney movie.
Go masturbate to feet on /aco/

>Vanellope

If I had a time machine and could go back to the 1930s, I would deliver Sarah Silverman's grandparents to Adolf Eichmann personally.

but user sarah silverman is the perfect hatefuck

who would win between Herc and Maui? which Demigod would prevail?

well then maybe she should be airlifted into the middle of a Sudanese """refugee""" camp as a sign of goodwill to all the suffering """children""" there.

I think I liked frozen more because it had more characters with chemistry.

Moana didn't meet maui till near the middle and it was only just him.

Maui lassoed the sun and can shapeshift. He'd wreck Herc under most circumstances.

The repetition of the lyrics is supposed to mimic the repetition she feels about her daily life.
Like
>Every turn I take
>Every trail I track
>Every path I make
>Every road leads back
All five syllables with the exact same cadence to, again, drive that repetition home.
I enjoyed How Far I'll Go, because it's not strictly an "I Want" more song, but a "what I have should be enough, why I am still not happy" song.

tangled was better than all of these

>Every single day
>Every word you say
>Every game you play
>Every night you stay
>I'll be watching you
Knew that seemed familiar

>You're Welcome

It's definitely a earworm, but so is Shiny. I don't want either to get played so much, I get tired of it though, like Let It Go was.

>Going to a goddamn fair and just so happening to be in a section with loads of Frozen-themed staffs, all playing Let It Go either along or in unison

jesus fucking christ albino

Nor do tangled

>Part of the fanbase wants to fuck the crab

I don't know why people have their panties moist over a giant narcissistic crab, he just so happens to be flamboyant, maybe that's it and his surprising knack for singing about himself, but fuck if I care, he got lots of cute fan art that makes him look adorable as fuck despite having barnacles up his ass on his teeth.

Cast is endearing as fuck and songs are pretty okay.

what cute fanart
honestly i havent seen a lot of fanart outside the big pics that people who actually worked on the film posted

Shiny is the best song in the movie, as well as the best disney villain song after hellfire

It lacked the charm of lilo and stich, far better hawaii movie.

mother knows best is better but i still like moana better than tangled
agree desu but they're different genres
myth fantasy vs contemporary sci fi. there can be more than one movie set in hawaii.

Why are there so few moana lewds what gives

Because there's only porn of popular things, even the thicc redhead has more art than Moana

>Brown and fat legs & arms

Gee, i wonder whats wrong.

>Pocahontas 2

I'm with you, man. As much as I love Moana, nobody beats Rapunzel for pure unadulterated cuteness.

>She was the Starbucks logo all along

The answer is fucking yes. Disney never let us down.
They always come out with an animated film at their best, while shitty jap animes constantly disgust us.

I admit that there was a time when I was interested in watching jap animes, although it's a embarrassing memory for me now.
One day, I noticed Disney is way more close to my liking, in contrast to that, jap animes have became something I don't like at all.
And after all, I found myself in a Disney bandwagon, being a Disney fag.

Your Name, my ass.
Japs have chosen this corny J-rock band AMV over Spirited Away, and I still can't fucking believe it.
I'm 100% fully convinced that even Miyazaki Hayao would rather like Zootopia and Moana than this.
