that's how americans sees themselves

I thought it was how Jews see goyim

That's how society want fathers to be viewed. Television since its creation has always been used as a tool to program the population.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tidal_locking

Real men tend to stand up for themselves and lead the family. Modern women don't like when men stand up for themselves. Remember the episode when Jerry didn't like his father being a cuck? Everyone shamed him. Imagine standing up for the person that raised you, and then your own family says that you're wrong, and your mom should be happy dividing the marriage for her own benefit instead of remaining faithful. Jerry's dad had to wear a superman costume to feel manly..

Jerry's character, like most men these days, is the epitome of emasculation by a "smarter" woman. If a real man stands up for what he thinks is right, he is called abusive. So jerry is cucked by his own family, he loves them, wants them to love him, so he has to comply with the """dominant""" woman type and become a push over for his own family's sake.

Now apply this to the modern man. Our society has pretty much made beta men the new norm. The idea of a powerful male presence these day barely exists because of how effeminate our society has become. There are more faggots and social platforms being pushed in this generation than any of the previous. This is feminism, and its still going on.

Shit nigga that first post was a post for /sci/ my bad g-homie dawg slice.

Stan Smith is alpha.

Because "men" who let roasties trick them into paying for her and his supposed child are cucks

>TV commercial
>dad is dumb and makes a big accident
>smart mom makes a Dreamworks face at dumb dad and fixes accident via advertised product

because it was done as a subversion of the paternal authority figure status quo because that inherently made it a joke and then the simpsons became the status quo

Nope, just white dudes... white dads are portrayed as dumb and bumbling and are often the butt of the joke... imagine if the “matriarch” of the family was told they were bottom of the totem pole and last priority despite providing for the senpai and being a caring nice mother which for a man to be caring and nice is a weakness... it would be a drama and everyone would feel for her... if a man is shit upon every episode then it’s a comedy and he deserves it...

>Nope, just white dudes
boondocks

If a black Dad is shown like this it will be redeemed in the end and shown his is the king and great provider at the end of the episode... otherwise it’s racist... white dudes are the only safe target anymore... but you know, the fragile white male ego and all... I love when they think they shake your foundations but then they get all pissy after one time calling them fat and I have the fragile ego lol...

FUCK Rick and Morty and their cringy fanbase. A true intellectual would not waste a single second on that show.
The writing is nothing but liberal agenda and anti-Trump "comedy". It never argues for subjective morality and instead presumes it, but the fact is it simply doesn't follow from the fact that we live in a material universe that life has no objective meaning IT DOES!! it's pleasurable experience, classic, Benthamian utilitarianism

I'VE HAD IT with these damn cucks and their wuba dubba dubbs. Rick And Morty is a blue pill poison for millenial retards, and Dan Harmon is a
SJW cuck. I WON'T STAND FOR THIS!

And you people are part of this masquerade. The white race is undergoing a genocide right this very moment, you sit here and discuss this garbage show for cucks.

A high IQ person like myself would rather spend his time getting a healthy dose of redpills from fellow highly inteligent youtube channel, watch Sargon, watch anything with a bit of brain.
Evil morty. pfff the real evil is moral relativism

The writer who wrote this part wanted to shout out her frustrations, yes she's a woman writer deal with it.

Let anyone white write that show then you’ll see the real reaction... all day long people of color and women say what’s wrong with white guys, let a white guy say something true about another races problems on tv and it becomes a headline...

To demasculinize men

The new episode sucks dick. I';m watching it now and I'm not laughing at all.

But Jerry won.

>Let anyone white write that show
they did

Believe it or not, when the sitcom was new the situation was reversed. Watch an episode of Happy Days or The Andy Griffith Show.

Dads are wise mentors that offer unheaded advice for the conflict of the day. It's usually the son or a side character that messes up and provides the drama.

Initially shows like the Simpsons subverted this, but at this point it's become the norm rather than the rebellion against the rule. It really is probably feminism's fault. Modern society isn't comfortable with a confident and in control patriarch figure.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_engineering_(political_science)

t.closet racist and beta male sexist

No, it's just because comedy changed. People don't laugh at sincerity now. If you want to blame anything, blame the Simpsons for becoming the Star Wars of the 90's.

Jerry is constantly criticized in the show for being a beta coward.

His lack of manliness isn't glorified. It's chastised usually. If anything, it pushes the point that masculinity is a positive attribute, and Jerry needs to be more manly.

Googled most of them and just got tired of seeing that they’re all black and not what you’re saying...

Watch Sopranos

I don't think so. When he acts normal the writing gods subvert it to be humiliating and emasculating.

In the latest episode Beth comes to him in existential crisis, falling back on him as guaranteed emotional support despite being the one to break up their marriage and doing her best to treat him like shit. Rather than be vengeful, or confused, he does his best using common sense to help her.

This is presented as "stupid" just because the writer gods said so through their avatar Beth, but she accepts his "stupidity" as a complement to her natural over burden intellectual superiority anyway. Turning an act of mutual emotional support and assistance into Jerry just being a useful but defective prop for Beth's self actualization.

He didn't do anything unreasonable or wrong, but the writing still conspires to present in as pathetic anyways.

It's a female fantasy to be superior to men.

Because they're usually selfish, out of touch and lazy?

To Jerry's benefit, as simple as he is, he is ultimately sincere and charming. Which is exactly what made him the winner last night.

there is nothing normal about jerry. Nothing.

>The most alpha white male character on tv today is on a tv show targeted to black people

Destruction of the family unit.

Government becomes the authoritarian father.

Media the nurturing mother and moral compass.

It's over.

the nuclear family represented the destruction of the family. The unreliability of the nuclear family as a functional model for social development is what's causing the destruction of the nuclear family.

Jerry is ironically the most likable character on the show, despite the writer's effort to make him pathetic (which he still kind of is.)

They're trying to make him a butt monkey but it's really just everyone being assholes towards him. Somehow it's his fault Beth is a retard who doesn't know what she wants, and the kids blame him. Rick's banter with Jerry was fine because it was the competition between them. Everything else is forced. Beth is clearly in the wrong and honestly becoming more obnoxious as the show goes on.

Name a better model

Thats because dan harmon is a huge beta male who hates anything resembling a normal male.

Here watch this:
youtube.com/watch?v=fe60z-stls0
You will notice that
>dan harmon will stutter a lot
>burr presence seems to intimidate him
>he can't contribute while too busy trying to hide the stress he is under
>attempts to contribute in the end after being quiet for a while and just drivel on shit he read somewhere while attempting to sound smart
>gets saved by agent who pull the plug by blaming unchedulled events

This man is reddit's god, how embarrassing.

Extended/joint family.

>It's another Sup Forumstards crave victimization so much they misinterpret something that is making the same point as them as an attack on their fragile self-esteems

Jerry being dumb, nutless, and in denial of his misfailings isn't glorified whatsoever. Everyone else around him tries to make him change. He's stupid, but aware that he's stupid, and tries to use that as a crutch whenever anyone else confronts him. "I'm too stupid and pathetic to know any better", and the rest of the family rightfully refuses to enable his pity party act.

They know damn well Jerry can do better. They want him to be a real man, and fullfill his real potential instead of using the fact that he knows he has problems as an excuse to not fix the problems that he can fix. Jerry is basically a more sympathetic version of Peggy from KOTH that is actually forced with the realization that he needs to change instead of permanently being enabled as a subtle villain in the show.

>Kids should be raised by grandma and aunts instead of mom and dad.

That model seems to be doing wonders for the black community.

Oh no another redditor quoting the entire thread strikes again.

Have you tried saying something compelling instead of doing this?

How are Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin, Randy Marsh, and Stan Smith beta? How is Hank Hill stupid? And that's just the animated dads.

you forgot to quote his post you Sup Forums shit, let me help:

Jews portray themselves and complainy beta males so it's not much of an insult.

>his

oh you aren't hiding very well.

>defending jerry
>first season
>jerry gets trapped in a simulation running at bare minimum capacity is is nothing but constant glitches and can't tell, at all
>can't even really tell the difference when hes back in reality
>tries the same things that worked in the barely functional simulation
>spends two seasons without a job until rick gives him one

this episode will never stop bothering me. as the amount of people who seem like they'd do the exact same shit (all those idiots who comment on free-pornsite videos as if the pornstars are live and will ever see their remarks, periscope, people who will sit and watch 45 second loops for DAYS, commenting constantly, etc, etc) is utterly fucking staggering

I don't know what retarded article you read to get a definition of extended/joint family, but the term "instead" is never used.

Society makes TV, not the other way around.
Back when it was cool to reinforce the patriarchy we had lots of good dads on TV.

I dated a "pornstar" once and she loved reading her comments.

to be fair, we had good dads on TV when it was possible to be a good father.

In a retail/service economy men are worthless as people always trust women more.

Save your feed for the chickens, Sneed.

Can you list some examples? It seems like most tv dads are either capable husbands/fathers, or even if they're dumb they're not beta. If anything they're absurdly aggressive and overconfident. Or if they are beta then they're pretty smart (Kyle's dad in South Park, the Russo's dad in Wizards of Waverly place), and then it's just a classic nerd stereotype.

>Everybody Hates Chris
>Game of Thrones
>Family Guy
>Westworld
>Home Improvement
>Last Man Standing
>King of the Hill
>South Park
>Pretty much all Disney Channel shows, at least the ones that aired when I was a kid

Jerry actually seems like the exception when you look at dads in different tv shows. He's stupid, but he's also incredibly cowardly and weak.

reminder

eternal reminder:

Sup Forums is immunized against all dangers: one may call him a scoundrel, parasite, swindler, profiteer, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But call him Sup Forums and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: “I’ve been found out.”

It's funny, Sup Forums's numale population tries to push this "Bill Burr is a fake man" stuff, but they forget he's always advertised himself as the weenie in the classically macho clique.
The fact is, even if he IS a weenie, it's like he's sitting on the bottom rung of the top caste, still way more ballsy and assertive than most dudes who post here.

>nortonposting
Thanks, when I entered this thread I was looking to kill fifty-one minutes understanding a five sentence post.

You can find people commenting on videos of dead porn stars.

because it creates conflict for the plots

>it's an infowars mockup
somehow i didn't even notice the text or the setting behind them

(((society)))

The idea is "they can take it" because in the real world they're "on top".
That's the idea with most of this opposite-day stuff.
The trouble is people get used to it and forget where the motivation came from (a la Patrick Star in that Spongebob episode, where Bob pretends to be stupid for Pat's parents, and eventually Pat forgets he's not actually an idiot.)

THEN disgruntled reactionists who've figured out half the equation start claiming conspiracy, the same way people who don't understand natural phenomenon claim intelligent design. We're just dealing with a large population of stupid people with short attention spans. A bunch of Patricks who forgot that they put on a handicap before they started playing the game and think it's the default setting.

Jews don't exist in some inter-dimensional pocket outside of society, Alex. They're products of it too.

Gee, I wonder who could benefit from the destruction of the nuclear family??

Because hollywood is the kind of girl that lies to your face about how she wants you to act and then mocks you up and down the street while fucking chads

I'm sorry to interrupt the Sup Forums circlejerk but can anyone list some examples of dumb beta dads other than Jerry from Rick and Morty and the tranny dad from Kardashians?

Jerry IS in a lot of ways the best written character in the show. However if you think he's the most likeable, it's probably because you're self inserting as the part of his character that thinks everyone is mean to him for no reason.

Nearly all of Jerry's problems are self-inflicted, and can't be fixed by anyone but himself.

The show goes out of its way to make Jerry a very sympathetic character when they could easily just rob him of any brief moments of glory altogether and make him a gag like a lot of shows do. Jerry is thrown bones here and there and involved with arguably more character development than anyone in the show besides maybe Morty.

Watchu say, brotha?

Do you even watch television?
>simpsons
>friends
>married with children
>everybody loves raymond

I think The Cosby Show was the last really good dad show.
George Lopez Show is classic strongdad too but less universal.

>everyone who thinks I'm a Sup Forums shit is the same person

>married with children
What exactly is beta about Al Bundy?

because is funny and that's it. Making fun of it is healthy as we don't want beta males.

Homer Simpson isn't a beta. He's a moron, but not a beta. You've got a point about Al Bundy and Ray. But the vast majority of tv dads are either smart alphas, smart betas, or dumb alphas. Dumb beta is pretty rare. See .

Because you're so fucking insecure you ignore every example that doesn't fit your agenda. You're a SJW feminist, basically. Except your agenda is the opposite, I guess.

Let's see, some of the most popular TV-series in later years include:

Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Sopranos
The Walking Dead
24
Vikings

Not to mention just about every fucking action flick in existence. Oh yeah, so many white beta male father figures. But please, go on crying about how oppressed you are by all the evil comedy series on TV.

He's a browbeaten idiot. Which reminds me:
>Modern Family

I mean Rick is kind of a bitch sometimes.

I don't beta means what it used to mean anymore.

It's like cuck or nazi, it's just shorthand for something negative.

He can take South Park off the list and add it to mine. The men in that show are also browbeaten idiots - except for kenny's dad and butter's dad.

Really "dumb beta" is too limiting. The fact is that dads are not portrayed as competent or authoritative in most sitcoms.

I think you're ignoring television if you can't admit the Dumb Dad trope exists.
>Not to mention just about every fucking action flick in existence. Oh yeah, so many white beta male father figures. But please, go on crying
n fact you seem kind of upset that it might not.

name a trope that doesn't exist

oh wait

You're right, I'd forgotten the semantics OP used. I think it's safe to assume he just meant incompetent fathers as a whole.

Randy is constantly doing whatever the fuck he wants in a really aggressive way. There was an entire episode centered around him beating the shit out of other dads.

>The fact is that dads are not portrayed as competent or authoritative in most sitcoms.
Mothers rarely are either, they're usually neurotic hypocritical naggers.

So you're a confirmed angry numale then.
Don't worry, you can vote for Hilary again in the next election.

I apologize for that friend, i should specified the time for the observations i made instead i just posted the whole shit, just watch the ending 7 minutes and i think its all there.

dunno but i like to be able to do whatever the fuck i want and not a carpenter like my grand grand grand father and all the fuckers that came after.

>how to spot a leftist

Melodramatically eppers what they write with 'f*cking' because they lack true conviction in what they write.

Oh right, Malcom in the Middle had a browbeaten beta dad too.

That's true about the mothers. I think it lends credence to OP's statement more than anything though. It's about tearing down parents for comedic effect, and forgetting why.

It does.

Nice

These are all fantasies, though; what is desired. Comedy is humorous because it reflects life, and that's the light the trope is shone in.

>oh wait
I bet we're about to see a lot more "literally"s in this thread. I can practically smell your feminine cologne and feel your puckered boypussy separating over my glans.
You guys all fall back on the same format in your sassy retorts. Might as well shout BAZINGA when you're finished.

This shit just got Siskel & Ebert
Way to kick it up a notch, user

Why are Sup Forumsbabbies crying about a secondary character in the show being portrayed as a dumb beta male father when the main character in the show is also a father who is super alpha male invincible genius who has the answer to every problem, never in any true danger, and constantly cucks everyone around him as an irrelevant foggy shit?

Ever been to a suburb, OP? That's what most fathers are.

I chuckled. Why are millennial men such fucking women

...

Post good dad's

>Jobless bum faggot who is raising his son to also be a faggot

Kys

>rick is an unrealistic over-man who can solve any problem because of his infinite intelligence
>jerry is a mundane, suburban husband who everyone walks over, just like that one neighbor, or your friends dad

Gee, I don't know what to make of this.

You mean rich as fuck

Dan Harmon displays the narcissism of an insecure cuckold. Jerry is his masochism, which the part of himself he deeply despises, while Rick represents his sadism, or his desire to be avenged. They stem from the same unconscious source; explicit identification of the female with the Other
