North Korea General

Let's talk about the most based nation in the world. I'd love to work for these guys.

Guys, how can I defect to Best Korea? Being the first westerner to do it, I'd be worshipped as a god there. I'm tired of all the Indians and pakis violating my homeland.

hello theresa may

you're certainly not gonna be the first westerner to do it, I myself would love to work for them as a spy or a diplomat or something, maybe we could work something out idk :^)

Not the first westerner, there's a few. I wouldn't be interested in that unless you're a hardcore socialist or something I guess.

Holy shit they just rope off a fucking UXO from the Korean War?

>a factory with no lights on
really makes you think

Want some more factory stuff?

imagine if the cold war never ended

would we have set the ozone on fire?

theyre poor as fuck, what do you expect?

natural light saves a ton of money.

what a petty complaint. there's windows everywhere, there's obviously decent light in the factory, and they probably save a pretty dime doing it this way. i'd be more concerned with the lack of workers at machines engaged in production.

>devil trips
all these broads know their place this is a true alpha here folks.

>select an uncharitable interpretation
>get mad about it
take it easy fellas

I would fuckin love to visit best korea, but I'm worried I'll get tossed into a gulag for some minor offense.

it says dont touch fucker, what more do you want?

stay classy

>no tacky billboards everywhere

Nearly all of these buildings must be empty. This looks like an above-average urban area in the US but the number of people around is minuscule for such constructions. Everything about NK makes the entire country seem like Potemkin village. But if you don't overanalyze it, NK seems like it could be amazing.

I have a hard time believing the veracity of reports from "escaped prisoners" and such in NK. They seem over the top, like something your uneducated hillbilly cousin thinks really evil people do. I'm sure an NK prison isn't a great place and it wouldn't surprise me to find out there's torture and stuff, but the abject cruelty described is almost cartoonish. A dumb-dumb portrayal of evil, you might say.

It amazes me that the country is still standing with all the fucking sanctions against it.

Nah, most are just basic living conditions for the people who live in the city, some mixed office stuff, some storage, etc.

You can blame Kim Il-Sung for the look given these were part of the rapid construction period. The newer buildings tend to look a lot more aesthetically pleasing. And while they are not all empty, there is a much more famous entirely empty building you can read about here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryugyong_Hotel

But I agree, the reports from "escaped prisoners" is difficult and typically unreasonable.

I don't think it's a wonderful place, I just think they're trying and doing their own thing - I think they should be left alone.

Juche, a National Socialist ideology founded by the great Kim Il Sung. A strongly centralised hierarchical racial rule. Population is infused with fanatic pride and militancy. Foreigners have no power and are forbidden from fornicating with Koreans.

i dont get how one fat fuck has so much power. when you look at the faces of most of those people even his comanders they all look depressed and like they know their gov is full of shit and poor as fuck. why dont they just kill the fat fuck and rejoin with south korea? do they not like food, money, and tech? I just dont get it.

Because they like sovereignty.

Juche is meh, but reading it is amusing at least.

Can anyone tell me how we can validate anything the MSM says about North Korea, one of the few countries without a (((Rothschild))) central bank? Oh we can't? Really maeks u think, considering how much they lie about everything else.

...

...

>sovereignty
They have governed themselves into a shit hole. some times one must swallow their pride, their whole splitting off has been a complete failure.

Just do a lot of research, look for primary sources.

...

...

Reminds me of post-war America.
Seems nice.

North Koreer best Koreer.

...

Given that most of the developed world can't trade with them, it's not quite an honest perspective to say they've governed themselves into a shithole. What most of the world does to NK is the equivalent of your big brother saying "quit hitting yourself" while pushing your own hand into your face.

Assuming you value independence, it's not a failure to suffer for it.

Inheriting the work of his great grandfather and father is hardly alpha.
He's barely even a man of their caliber.

That's a pretty cute description, but I think it's accurate.

You wouldn't be the first one.

>en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alejandro_Cao_de_Benós_de_Les_y_Pérez
>Alejandro Cao de Benós de Les y Pérez (born 1974) is a Spanish political activist with close relations with North Korea. He is a Special Representative of the Foreign Ministry of North Korea.[1] He is, according to himself, also the Special Delegate of North Korea's Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries.

>I think they should be left alone.
I've been enjoying your posts on Sup Forums for months and don't think I remember you ever really giving a political opinion on NK.
This is exactly what I tell people and it's refreshing to hear someone else say it.
I think the west tells way too many lies about NK.

I dont know about that. I mean they should have realized that they do not possess enough natural resources to be purely independent and that isolating themselves was going to be a big problem. I can understand wanting independence but they should have looked for other ways to obtain it knowing their resources are limited.

wtf I love DPRK now

I really try not to, since my goal is more just to provide information, pics, sources, and whatever else I can get my hands on.

Now I feel guilty for doing it! But yeah, my opinion is effectively to leave them alone. I value independence, sovereignty, liberty, etc. - and while they may lack in liberty, I don't think it is my (or another country's place) to 'free the fuck' out of them. I wouldn't want another country imposing similar sanctions or behaviors on mine, so I try not to be a hypocrite.

But yeah, lots of the media shit is just soooooooo amazingly incorrect. The most recent one was that NK banned sarcasm? I don't even understand what brought them to think that.

Says way more about our own countries than it does theirs. America needs to take a hard look in the mirror.

Can North Korea into anime?

SEE:

If one believes in self-determination of individuals, of populations, of cultures, nations, and civilizations, then one must be prepared to accept that some people will decide for themselves to do things one doesn't agree with, and this must be permitted for self-determination to have its meaning.

It is not paradoxical for self-determination of a population to mean the population loses liberty. We are all affected by the choices of our parents, and their parents before them. North Koreans, like any other nation, have the God-given right of self-determination, to see themselves off to their own future, and to see people fight this out of some virtue-signalling empty morality is very disappointing to me.

Of course, the hostility of a nation to outsiders is a cause for concern since it fails to symmetrically engage in recognition of the right of self-determination, but frankly I don't see anything in the history of NK to be outside the ordinary for a small nation trying to keep its head above water. Iran is not small, and Iran buckled pretty hard to international sanctions. I think it says a lot about NK that it has not followed a similar fate.

me on the left

>people think this literal manchild who inherited his way to power, who would execute anybody on a whim for even the smallest perceived slight is """""alpha"""""
>fat manchild who lives like a king in his shithole country

haha BASED praise kKEK !!!! :---D

>hurr durr people must work hard regardless of their background.
Leaving a legacy so your sons and daughters have it easy is the epitome of capitalism, its not workism mind you its CAPITALism.

connecting labor with wealth is very socialistic, please don't do that.

Well said. Given I agree with John Stuart Mill on his views of "leaving people alone" being an ideal method of interaction for purposes of liberty, I have to follow the concept you mention in your first sentence.

I'm a capitalist, I strongly dislike socialism, I strongly support liberty (i'm sure you can guess the rest of my views), etc. but even so I support NK's attempts at independence, despite disagreeing with them on almost all of their policy decisions.

And I will say I find it admirable that they are willing to suffer as they have for the sake of that independence. I would like to think I would be similarly dedicated, but I doubt I'll ever know.

As an amusing aside, the NK'ean diplomat for US affairs said that the reason for getting nukes, the reason they try so hard to make them, is the US itself - since they want to avoid its "blackmail" and influence. He describes it somewhat about the US's attempts at pushing them from it is what drove them even further towards it.

is it a really small Pony or a Dog?

My sides those fishing poles dont even have reels lol

Why do all the norks have shiny floor coverings? Every nork house I've seen has had that.

lel, that's a dog. Here's an IRL real life pony totally alive.

Try looking harder.

Because it's not really standard flooring,it's typically a sort of covering made out of like a papery sticky type thing to cover all potential openings and to help insulation.

mms://121.167.43.161/chosun

Not on the air at the moment, but that's where they are.

It's been getting a lot busier since the "traffic girl" pictures.

COMFY
>tfw you will never experience the simple life of DPRK factory worker

That pic is not of the standard streets that most tourists and trips are taken on. I could post those, they're more empty, back streets tend to have more folks (here's Wonsan to compare)

Work away.

>tfw i hate artificial lighting
I can't stand it

Don't bring any bibles, don't touch any signs, don't take pictures where they tell you not to. Basically, don't be a dick. All the stories I've seen about visitors being arrested there involved things that could easily have been avoided.

I know a lot of these photos don't show the harsher side of the nation, but even in the villages taken by undercover photographers etc everything is remarkably clean. Even the run down bits are remarkably clean.

i really want to visit best korea

I can drop rural pics if you want.

When I was in South Korea, the heat in most of the houses I visited came up through the floors. I think it was through hot water pipes. I don't know if that has any relation to the shiny floor thing or not, but it was damned comfy.

...

What are they watching?

Man in the high castle?

That's not that terrible of an idea, tractors are made to tow heavy payloads over rough terrain

Why are all the TAXI signs in English?

Why is that one Taxi a Ford Focus hatchback?

You sure this ain't South Korea with a NK watermark?

mashable.com/2015/11/01/north-korea-cars/#iOVwjpt7fgqk

Yeah, I'm sure. They use a lot of bootleg things, and they are trying to push for english (yay capitalism) people to visit for money reasons. I'll drop a few pics showing the bootleg aspects.

Like in this pic, this is a vehicle/tool produced in the US.

Some more english shit
