Best MI movie. The next one is disappointing user.

I liked rogue nation better as a whole, but you can't fuck with the stunts in GP.

Next one has best girl tho

>action hero does sweet stunt
>he doesn't make it
mfw

Crazy thing is nothing in that webm used any sort of wires, stunt men, camera tricks or cgi. Tom did everything exactly the way the showed it on screen, the ONLY hidden aid was a concealed strap holding Jeremy Renner in place when he's holding on to Tom since the woman wasn't trusted to be strong enough to hold them both up.

no

Look it up

>yfw Tom Cruise spent 6 months of preparation on a stunt for M:I 6 that's supposed to be the biggest one yet

get hype

Yep. I watched it a few days ago. Great movie

Tom Cruise didn't deliberately bang his head on that window, relying on Jeremy Renner to save him from falling to his death.

It's also obvious Tom has a wire holding him when Jeremy is holding him by one hand and he pulls himself up.

I wouldn't say disappointing, just not as good as Ghost Protocol. That movie is perfectly structured.

Yeah you're right, that part wasn't actually part of the stunt. Renner actually saved Tom's life for real there and they decided to keep it in the movie rather than doing a reshoot.

The airplane stunt and the underwater scene in Rogue Nation are top notch too.

It's funny how Rogue Nation managed to out-spy Spectre with basically the same premise in the same year. Tom Cruise makes better James Bond movies than James Bond. Crazy shit.

>first movie is over two decades old

Cruise trained to hold his breath up to 6 minutes. Fuck these movies are so much fun. I can't wait for the next one.

Is there anything recent that can compete?

The opera House assassination sequence in Rouge Nation is pure espionage kino of the highest order, better than the majority of bond films.

> tfw I was 13 when I saw it in the thearer

is Tom Cruise secretly one of the best actors in hollywoo?

>The opera House assassination sequence in Rouge Nation is pure espionage kino
Fuck...yes it was. The way they imprision the bad guy at the end was great too.

You and me both
>Tom Cruise Has Been Training for a ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ Sequence for a Year
>>“We’re thrilled. Chris is back, obviously, writing and directing after Rogue Nation. We could not be more excited about the character Henry Cavill’s going to play. And I will say after the Burj [Khalifa] we thought it was going to be impossible to top that stunt, and then Tom did the A400M for the plane. What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable—he’s been training for a year. It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after Rogue Nation came out. It’s gonna be mind-blowing.”

it doesn't matter how tall he is, what weird space god he worships or how many dicks he sucks, Tom Cruise gives 110% to any movie he's on and all he asks is that everyone else do the same.

>secretly
Worst kept secret out there. Few people more A-list than him. Nicholson, Brad Pitt and Tom Hanks maybe.

Right on. I have a lot of respect for him. Edge of Tomorrow is another example of a fantastic action movie starring Cruise.

He and Liman are a great director/actor duo, watching the B-roll for that movie made me so happy.

Jack Reacher or Oblivion? They are both on Netflix and want to watch a Cruise movie tonight

American Made looks great

Jack Reacher is better. Oblivion shits the bed halfway through.

I still enjoy Oblivion as a whole, but yeah Reacher really surprised me, hit that perfect late 90s thriller spot, I love the bar scene with the girl and how he completely just fucks up her rhythm

Shame Jack Reacher 2 couldn't capture what made the first one so great.

Have yet to see it but no Liman couldn't have helped.

The a team movie is actually decent blockbuster fun despite shittier original material, Carnahan is an underrated filmmaker and was originally supposed to direct mi3 so I believe he probably reused some ideas from it. His mi3 certainly could have been better than jja's

Isn't Nicholson retired? He hasn't made a movie in years.

He is but that doesn't mean he's not A-list anymore.

How did this happen?

Cant's Bruise the Cruise

>tfw went to theater innahood with my brother to see MI:3 at the $1.50 theater
was the first time I saw PSH on screen

I liked it

I agree, I really liked GP but Rogue Nation just felt really boring for some reason

...

well what is he doing?

mmm that delicious chocolate

Jack Reacher is the best Tom Cruise movie, the guy just oozes cool! I was on the edge of my seat!

>Gonna watch the next one tomorrow
prepare for mediocrity

How far manlets go to delude themselves.

>We could not be more excited about the character Henry Cavill’s going to play
Just to spoil it for you all, Henry Cavill is playing James Bond. This one is a crossover and an intro film before his regular standalone movies commence. That's why he says he's excited about the character Cavill is playing.
They're also taking advantage of the fact that it's Mission Impossible 6 - MI6.
This is why Daniel Craig went from
>I'd rather cut my wrists than play Bond again
to
>oh yeah I'm playing Bond again, can't wait
Because he's not, this bait and switch has been planned for a while (not necessarily with Cavill) it's a joint collab between the studios - it'll bring hype to both franchises, a win-win for them. Daniel Craig is signed to keep his mouth shut and barebones promote his next Bond film until MI:6 releases. So now you know.
I'm not privy to how MI:6 is getting on in that much detail but they're getting pretty excited over it from what I hear. Should be alright.

You better be right user

I like that there's a franchise with fun spy gadgets going. I didn't see Spectre but Bond is so realistic now.

Why do you think this?

Daniel Craig said the 'slash my wrist' thing exactly once, right after playing Bond. He was just sick of it. You also need to realise these actors have to do hundreds of these junket interviews and get asked the same questions over and over again. He just exaggerated a bit and obviously that became a headline.

I hope you're fucking wrong user, crossovers are gay as fuck and MI doesn't need it.

>Bond is so realistic now
Watch Spectre.

I don't remember anything from MI5 except Cruise hanging from a plane.
I don't know why they got McQuarrie again.

Casino Royale was amazing. The rest were stupid, especially Spectre.

don't care about his privaticy, like his movies, he is 150% devoted to every shit, even in mummy was acceptable and did his best for such poorly written character
