Death Note

Now that the dust has settled. We can all agree that this was better than the original, right?

original what? the jap movies?
doesn't matter because the answer in no.

A nigger being L broke my immersion

He was the best thing about it, fag.

No, but it was far better than it had any right to be. As long as he wasn't moving Ryuk looked good and sounded great.

...

It was better than the second half of the anime series at the very least.

would have worked much better as a 7-8 episode series, the thing that hurts it most is lack of time.

misunderstood by weebs and critics. Just like BvS.

>namefagging on Sup Forums
Huh, literally why?

no

The Death Note having 48 hour mind control power over the victims seemed a tad unnecessary for the supposed "cat and mouse game" between him and L.
Just made it seem that Light had the high ground all the time.

Better than the Jap live action movies.

Considering netflix Light is pretty fucking dumb that was kind of necessary, even in the original he's outclassed by L and he only wins because L has to figure out how he's doing it and what the limitations are with very little evidence.

Haven't even seen it, but I doubt it.

cant wait for his review

He was by far the only good thing about it

Is that Deckard's gun?

It's a very good movie

Being slightly better than total garbage does not equal a good movie user

Just watched it, it was much worse than i thought it would be, Kira is just some /r9k/ poster that starts his murder spree to impress Stacy, the guy playing L is horribel, he talks like he is reading his lines from a pice of paper, how can you be an unknown actor and just phone it in like that?
Story is too long for a movie, but they make it worse by jamming a romance sub plot into this clusterfuck, why? You allready have too little time to tell the story, why waste more on this?

Wish i never saw it, it was BAD

This is the first version of Death Note I've watched, and I really hope the anime is better because this was a bad movie. Not horrible, but far from good. Good premise, but shit acting and shit pacing ruined it. Like, one minute he's just testing out the notebook, next minute he's full Kira god mode, already famous and having killed hundreds of criminals. No sense of escalation or buildup.

Light's actor screams like Janice from the Muppets but even more girly

...

...

The actor who played L did a good job, to bad the scriptwriters wrote "and then L chimps out for the last half of the movie" but that was not the actors fault. His early scenes are nice.

better visuals than the jap movies but man the story was complete garbage and didn't even make any sense

You take that back. The anime >>> shitty americuck flick.

>The actor who played L did a good job
He's an awful fucking actor and was a bad choice for L.

I think we can all agree that you should shut your dumb whore mouth with those beyond-retarded opinions.

Fuck, that movie is great.

A deeply rooted inferiority complex. I can't handle people focusing solely on the things I say I need them to react to an artificial personality I try to create.

Would he be a good Near in the sequel?
