I thought it was just Marvel that were doing this shit

I thought it was just Marvel that were doing this shit

mansplain is NOT A FUCKING WORD!!!!!

>tfw you mansplain while manspreading after manslamming

Feels good

Aww shit, DC FUCKING DROPPED

where can I find a writer who hates everyone like I do?

I legitimately detest women at this point.

looks like the poltards are invading again

>manslamming
Sounds hot.

lotta manposting there user

>invading

nigger where do you think you are? Sup Forums has been basically Sup Forums Sup Forums Jr for years now. They "invaded" years ago.

Also Superwoman is not a very good book but not because they use words like "mansplain"

Just dont read superwomen, it isnt any good anyway

Is she about to get BLACKED?

>about

Then don't read Super-woman.

you're the one that doesn't belong

Difference is at Marvel it's linewide. At DC it's literally just this book.

MUH BOOGEYMAN

You are a retard.

Well that's possibly the worst Rebirth book written by a fag who loves BBC. So.

>worst Rebirth book
That's not Hitch League.

Languages evolve, words are created and destroyed, deal with it.

Would you rather comics didn't change dialog to match the times? Should every comic book character be required to talk like it's 1938 because that's when Action Comics #1 invented the superhero?

Just because you don't like the cultural movement that coined this particular word doesn't mean that it isn't a part of the modern lexicon. Comics tell stories with the language we have, not the language we want.

So if a father is telling his daughter not to go out to some party in a dangerous part of town is that now considered mansplaining? I mean Steel seems like he is trying to help keep her safe and is worried about her, isn't mansplaining supposed to be like passive aggressive "I know more than you" type of shit?

I said possibly. It's a toss up between those two.

>match the times

I doubt most people know what mansplaining is. It is not in common lexicon. Stop trying to compare apples to oranges.

>actually believing mansplaining has caught on
wew

I've heard it 3 times this week not counting this thread, and it has an entry on Wikipedia. It's a pretty common term.

Nice false equivalency. Mansplaining is not a mainstream word. It is talking down to a section of society. Why didn't Steel just say he was was niggersplaining?

Not an argument. Anecdotal statements are not evidence. I have never heard it in real life. Who cares if it was an entry on wikipedia? Feminists are using it to push their agenda. Just because you live in an echo chamber where it is common, does not mean it is not common in society. Keep on living in your delusions.

Superwoman isn't even remotely bad

I've heard it 0 times this week not counting this week. Wikipedia has an entry on death by coconut. It is not a common word.

He's a big man.

It's main problem is that it's too fucking wordy while really only repeating the same shit over and over again.

We get it. Lana's powers are killing her. John doesn't want her to user her powers, but she has too. Lena is mad at Lex for "stealing" all her inventions. Every single issue repeats all this at least 3 times. We get it.

I've never heard it spoken by anyone in person, even on TV. I've only seen it written in Huff Paint articles and shitty comics.

Now try making an argument that doesn't make exactly the same amount of sense if you flip it around and point it the other direction. Your evidence is just as anecdotal as mine.

If we're doing anecdotes, I've heard the term "motherboard" fifteen times this week and don't think it's a common word. Meanwhile this hread is the first time I've seen "mansplaining" all month

Wow, so you are telling me that these people live in their own little bubble? John Donne was wrong. Every man is an island.

Dumbass, I was pointing out how absurd your argument is to begin with, invaliding the "evidence" you have given. You are the one making the claim, so it rests on your shoulders to show evidence. Do you even know how to make a cognizant attempt in debate?

>Misses point
>Continues to be retard
>His argument is invalid
>Demands other to still fight it

...

This guy

it's ok when dc does it :^)

...

I heard converted mana cost like 10 times this week and mtg has a wikipedia

Guess it's the common vernacular :^)

i haven't read that term in a bit and never heard anyone in my san diego say it out loud. so i'd say if we're using anecdotal statements, you're pretty far from right.

I fixed it

bretty good

>OP has forced feminist lexicon in it
>edit replaces it with "NIGGA JOKE LOL"
no escape.

The problem with the word is twofold, first that its unneeded when a word already exists that covers its usage. The word is "patronizing" and you might think the social justice movement would latch onto the word given its pat- root, from the same place as patriarchy.

But mostly the problem is that the word isn't even used as the definition its social justice founders claim it to be. If it were truly used as its definition, "for a man to explain something in a condescending manner to a woman" it'd be at least understandable, patronizing is still a better word but i'd see its point. The *problem* is that its defined one way and used another (somewhat of a common behavior for the modern SJ movement), its used as anytime a man dare speak of anything to a woman. The core condescending attribute is jettisoned, the word becomes a tool to silence men for saying anything at all.

Was Irons being condescending or patronizing to Lang in trying to protect her? Obviously no, so the word usage is faulty, or depending on your viewpoint its spot-on because the word is always used in a male-bashing manner and whenever yo call out radical feminists for that usage they'll fall back to the safe definition (despite that def not being actually used).

Honestly I think it'll take another cold war for our society to get its collective head out of its ass, to appreciate real problems and not bubbles-of-firstworld-privilege "i need SOMETHING to complain about" problems.

space jam joke.
>"nigga joke"
you what mate?

But user your evidence is also the result of you being in an echo chamber.

So it's like Sup Forums and cuckold

>Why didn't Steel just say he was was niggersplaining?
Because that would be a white condescending to a black in the same way that mansplaing is a man condescending to a woman.

If you're gonna bitch about something at least understand what it is that you're bitching about.

>So it's like Sup Forums and cuckold
per-xactly

it's a buzzword

just like "meninist", or "brocialist" for the leftist men who liberal feminists hate for exposing 3rd wave feminism as reactionary drivel

>$#@%&

Mansplaining is a colloquialism used by overwieght and ugly members of the lgbtqrstuv or whatever the full anacronym is now. It's a bullshit made up word that amounts to "when a man says things I don't like" ussually when refering to something the read or something they make up in their head, typically what one of their strawmen say in a comic strip argument.

It's not a mainstream word, and if it ever comes to that, it'll be one quickly stamped out. Like "tubular" or "radical"

Mansplain this then

Like I said before, it was to point out how invalid his own "evidence". He is making the claim, he needs to provide evidence.

But he was a black (male) trying to forgive himself to a white (woman).
