Is this the ultimate normie-bait movie?

Is this the ultimate normie-bait movie?
>ensemble cast featuring meme actors they'll recognise from other recently popular films
>unnecessary romance sub-plots
>make the audience feel like they have some intelligence but put very little effort into actually making the plot believable after this first attempt (film "explains" how they pulled off the first heist and establishes that magic is just a series of tricks, doesn't bother to explain most of the other tricks for the rest of the movie)
>ebin plot twist at the end

I think the second one was more bait that the first one. I never saw the first one until it eventually came on TV.

I only recognize that French woman from Inglorious Basterds.

Mélanie Laurent
She's cute as fuck

stop posting my wife.

Make me

I FUCKING SAID STOP IT STOP BEING RUDE.

You shouldn't hide a beauty like this from the world

fuck you niggas, now I have to watch Enemy again

I will never understand Sup Forums's hate for this film
>IT'S ALL FAKE! - THEY DON'T SHOW HOW THEY DO THE MAGIC, IT'S IMPOSSIBLE
>the film isn't meant to be grounded in reality

the hate i have for this movie is unreal and i hate you for drawing attention to it

>Clap for the CGI magic tricks, you monkeys
>yeah this one was a mirror and there was a car switch ta-da they are good magicians
>what about a bubble?
>what about light-triggered changing numbers?
>what about jumping and transforming into money?
>we explained all we need to, now preorder tickets to the sequel

You should already rewatch it at least once a year

>the film isn't meant to be grounded in reality

nice cop-out excuse you assclown
ritchie's holmes movie is less grounded in reality and they make a point of explaining every bit of 'magic' they could

to this day i am in disbelief that these aren't sony movies

even typing it out i can't believe it

Ah, yes, the oft-used alternate reality where magicians use actual magic on stage and parlor tricks to perform a heist

i double check every time i see the poster

At least it's not the second movie

I think we can all agree that the movie would have been much better if it was just a series of incredibly realistic tricks with a solid grounding in reality that were explained in a succinct but detailed point by point format. Then it would be a good movie.

>throwing the card to next person
>even though he just got cleared

OP I think it is kinda for 10 year olds who like magic.

I wonder how much 'tism you have that you can't understand this.

>meme actors
jesus christ, this is your actual thought process
3.5 billion years of evolution just to utter this sentence

...

you know that reaction image is exactly what a euphoriafag would use right?

just a friendly tip to my fellow godless intellectuals
3.5 billion years of evolution and christcucks still exist and use terms like 'meme actor'

This movie is meta
It is about magic the art of misdirection
The movie actively misdirects the attention of the viewers to fancy nonsense while they miss everything that matters.
it's my only explanation as to how it got made and wasn't cancelled any minute during production

I mean, the first twenty seconds were cool but it just keeps going and going and going and going

jesse eisenberg is a kike fuck
