How did one of the most incompetently made films ever have such a brilliant ending? It makes no sense.

simple, the whole movie was created around the ending
the ending was a "shock" because there was literally no set up for it.
the rest of the film is fine though
Man, I love Sleepaway Camp.
Who is this kike?
The ending was only spooky because it was randomly added. It's a big what the fuck because the plot was really about a boy pretending to be a girl but suddenly she becomes some murderous demon creature.
It's not even that incompetent. It's just your standard 80's slasher flick with a memorable ending.
>the ending was a "shock" because there was literally no set up for it.
how did you come to this clearly wrong conclusion?
Yeah, they subtly foreshadow it throughout the film.
Obviously that other guy didn't pay much attention.
This movies is the only classic horror film I want to be remade. It will never happen as the twist is "problematic".
The creepy mom in the beginning was a hint, as was her refusal to be seen naked but I agree, there should have been more setup.
Judy had the best 80s bitch style.
Not to mention that weird homoerotic dream/flashback sequence
wasn't there a modern day shitty thriller that stole the ending to this
I seem to remember one. Some shitty teenage thriller with some recognisable b-listers (maybe one a-lister?)
fuck this is driving me crazy
I'm like 100% positive that a shitty 2005+ flic stole this flics twist
like dead certain.
So who wants to sing the Happy Camper Song with me?
I got to meet her at screening a few months ago. Very nice lady.
It's pretty hard not be an asshole when you have your own name printed on your shirt, even if everyone else does too.
>she
they were so incompetent they stumbled into genius
Angela is not a woman, but Felissa Rose (and Pamela Springsteen) sure as hell is.
I'm jestin, dear user.
The penis demon creature at the end was actually an animatronic
was "she" gay/
