>Trollhunters
>there's clearly two trolls chilling right next to them

Sounds like they are laughably ineffective, like anyone who has called themselves a "troll hunter"

I've watched the first few eps, pretty generic kids fare if still enjoyable despite that, definitely better than most shows of it's kind. Production values are off the charts for a show though, animation and art direction really shine, and fights look slick. Also the evil pink demon is hot

It's already got 4 Annie noms for animation and music related stuff

I sae the first two episodes at NYCC panel. It seems like a pretty cool show, great voice actors, and fantastic lighting.
Guillermo Del Toro was there and he didn't fit in the chairs they had on stage so he tried to sit on one of the wooden tables and it broke. He was actually very self depreciating about being a big guy.

The Trollhunter hunts just the evil trolls, silly

Does the guy on the right of the left image show up in the animated series? He looks like an arrogant cunt, and I'd like that.

I dunno. I'll see it when I have time.

I enjoy the fact that they released the entire production season though. They should do that more often.

>The Armor transformation scene in the second episode
Also It's a shame the MC's voice actor died, but I'm glad Guillermo del Toro had them keep the lines he already recoreded.

It's always been said they release them when they're done.
So I imagine 26 episodes at a time means once a year.
They did 13 bi annually and 5-6 quarterly before that.

Hey dude from reddit who posted that Steam is down.

#notalltrolls

Who will voice Jim in the second season?

Wait what?

Antoine Yelchin got killed by his own car because it was defective. Ran down his drive way and rammed him into his gate.

I watched the first episode and rolled my eyes at how generic things were. "Give me the amulet!" and fat kid being staple fat kid turned me off.

Not really feeling like continuing. Does it get better?

i sure hope someone got fired for that blunder

They actually make a joke and explanation about that in the show.

The fat kid being the staple fat kid sort of dropped off to me after the first/second episode. They honestly don't make many fat jokes in my opinion.

Looks so little like the book that I'm not interested. I mean, not like the book was a Masterpiece but it was definitely good enough to be adapted without much change, and definitely written that way as well. Then again maybe the entire fact that the bad trolls eat people was enough to get them to change it.

Generic but also charming

>knight hiccup
>ladybug not naked that needed colored hair to prove american people she's asian
>Human rule 63 Sadness
>goat Toothless
>blue Olaf
wow originality oozing all over the place there

So I take it his name is no longer Tobias, or Tubbs for short like it is in the book.

He's still Tobias, but I haven't heard them call him Tubbs so far

the main bad troll eats a museum security guard a few episodes in

I remember that. I didn't know he was in this show.

He's the main character.

That sounds pretty racist to me.
>Hello I am a nigger hunter
>Don't worry I only hunt bad niggers, I am not racist, my best friend is a nigger

It sucks because he gives a great performance

I'm a little sad Turbo ended before everyone started making their own logos.

Remember when DreamWorks used to own DreamWorks Animation and DreamWorks Interactive?

>the goblin at the end of episode 5

Huge porn potential

Can someone rip it from Netflix, please?

No

RIP Anton.

You were fantastic in Green Room

For you, maybe.

BANE?

>be millionaire
>drive a fucking Jeep Grand Cherokee

why dont they all own vintage cars or something?

The dentist sounds like Del Toro

I was right that was Del Toro

Go back to Sup Forums

>Mommy! This guy said a word I don't like, please take him away!

Oh, they appear to have changed it to Tobes.

He was referred to as Tobias in the show also

I'm not seeing any indication so far.
Maybe he's in there later.
He's the kid that got taken by Trolls and has been living in the Troll world.

Claire a qt

How far are you niggas

It really gets good half the season in

How's the pacing for it?

Main dude gets a sword; chick gets a wand/bow; fugly not main guy gets the non-versatile, oversized blunt weapon. Jeez how original, can't wait.

Alright. There are maybe two episodes you could do without

Is this worth watching for a Del Taco fan?

Definitely. But it doesn't get good until 5 or 6 episodes in

They will. How do you think we always get new seasons of All Hail King Julien and The Adventures Of Puss In Boots? God bless them.

Lemme guess, it's some magical weapons choosing their wielder shit, right? In the book, Jim was made to choose regular old swords his uncle Jack had collected for his personal armory. Nothing magical about swords or armor. They cobbled together their own armor out of junk. There was no magic in anything Troll Hunters used.

Fat guy doesn't get jack shit for a weapon, and I'm over half way in.

Not every actor is into luxury sports cars, Anton might have been more practical. Either way he will be missed.

Has anyone found out who took over from Anton?

It's summoned out of the magical amulet of destiny.

I'm enjoying it so far! I've laughed out loud several times, the characters are lovely(especially Arrr) and I like the quirks they added to the comic relief species(goblins and gnomes).

Those trolls are useful idiots

>work at DWATV on the same floor as this show
>Tuesday after Anton dies
>be in the elevator with some sound mixing guys
>one of them relays a story that on Monday one of the editors starts cutting audio, the first file he opens up is Jim (Anton) saying "am I dead?"
>mfw

apparently he was a really nice guy. Always contacted people at the studio directly instead of through an agent or a rep and they all seemed to like him a lot.

Yo, you work there, user?

Does anyone actually bother telling the writers that some of their material is lacking, or are you basically limited to nodding and yes-manning?

I work at a different studio now. As a storyboard revisionist there I just did the work that was given to me, because at that point the script was locked and the storyboards were done, and the storyboard artists were mostly in Canada anyway.

On the show I work on now though I can make suggestions and sometimes they'll listen. I'm still very new, but coworkers have told me that they have made efforts to change things here and there and it's worked out sometimes. Basically I feel like I CAN make suggestions, but it's too early to tell if they'll have much effect.

What show did you work on?

isn't this the guy who hunts trolls for chris-chan/

Dragons, it was my first in-studio job.

The exact moment the rival becomes best friend.

Man that must have been rough, so sad to see Anton go the way he did.

Agreed with the other posts. It takes a few episodes to break out of the setup tropes but it rocks. I really liked episodes 10-13 with the cockiness charm. Looks like that's sort of a mid season finale.

He's a big guy

Neat, keep up the good fight.

Also, the boarding on troll hunters is stellar. I got no complaints.

Thanks friend, I didn't board on Trollhunters, but Johanne Matte is my senpai and i want her to notice me one day

also please watch Tangled: the series in March

that shrinking episode...

>Trollhunters

That is as heavy as that scene from Beyond, Bones and Kirk drinking Chekov's whiskey. Know the third glass is supposed to be for Kriks dad, but whoo.

Have they started yet? What is the down time between season airings and next production start.
