Doping in the western world actually has roots in government funding.
Of course that means the United States has access to larger pools of money to fund it.
Combined with training facilities and professional personal trainers, which they are able to acquire and maintain.
If you don't dope you don't win. Even the losers are doping.
Its interesting to make note of past athletes who were caught/ thrown under the bus.
There are plenty of news articles in the past regarding WADA as well as other information that had been swept under the rug.
You may remember a certain lab that holds old blood samples from athletes, with the intent of testing them when better methods are available.
You may recall them saying they had tested said samples, and said that the results would potentially indicate wide spread usage of illegal substances.
You may also note that following their official statement, nothing was released. In fact nothing related was mentioned again.
